Brought car here beginning of April 2022 . Had car for two to three weeks no correspondence if I didn’t call for updates no one called. Then the manager stated waiting on parts. I kept calling until finally I went and got my car. The day after picking up my car started making a loud noise. Took my car to the dealership. This place is Very unprofessional. Very unreliable not a professional business place . I would not recommend this Amoco business. The manager is a joke.

They did a great job with my transmission. Mechanic was well versed in his profession. Called a week ago to get my brakes done and the young man never called me back. At that point I moved to a mobile mechanic. He did a great job too!

I took my car there for repairs because my warranty company use this place. I was quite surprised Chris answers the phone has the answers you are looking for and it he if doesn't know right away he will call you back. If he doesn't get right back, give him a call they are very busy. They provide step by step what needs to be done. Waiting for the insurance to get back was time consuming. I recommend this company if you want to deal with integrity and proficient people.

The first time that I took my daughter's Mazda there, they offered me a few options and gave me a detailed explanation of the car's major malfunction. They repaired the issue and actually fixed a few other minor mechanical issues at no extra cost. It was awesome! They always provide competent, trustworthy, reliable auto care every time I have car issues, and they have fair prices. I won't take my car or my kid's cars anywhere else! They are great!

3200$ to fix my chevy impala, it was a number of things wrong with my car. One particular problem was my abs and traction indicators were on. So aamco on rising sun ave, told me it was the abs sensor, ok cool, I told him to make sure that was the problem, because it's not a such thing of double jeopardy. They changed the sensor, and the lights popped back up. I informed the owner,he told me I would have to wait till next week, and pay for them to fix the wire connected to the sensor, like I didn't already pay for the problem to be fix. I said whatever ill pay. He said he didn't have room to fix me in till next week. I called corporate to see if they can connect me with another aamco so I didn't have to wait. Corporate told me, if the problem isn't under Warranty That I would have to pay, Ok cool I'm OK with that,it's not fair, but whatever. Corporate called the manager at aamco and told him I was bad mouthing him.. So when I took my car back to aamco, The owner got mad and told me to let corporate fix it 😆 and if I didn't call corporate, he would have fixed it for me the next day when the indicator lights came on, In the same breath as him saying I have to wait till next week. And that's what I'm dealing with.

I had my transmission changed there last week. They were quick and extremely friendly. Kris at the front is very honest and assuring. Just remember to read the fine print. They charge you a percentage of credit card transactions. So if you can, pay cash

Do not go here to get your vehicle fixed you have been warned. If you still go, you did it to your self. My experience was awful and I hope no one has to experience what I went through. I won in the end shouts out to my lawyer me.

Great shop and good customer service. Used them three times over the years to rebuild transmissions. The last time, they started to check out the vehicle, stopped and called and told me the vehicle was unrepairable, or rather, I'd dig a huge financial hole to get it on the road and not to waste my time or money. They did an extensive review and were honest, lenient, and had great communication.

I want to start by saying the lady who works at the desk is nice and polite and created the only pleasant part of my experience with this company. The gentleman who worked on my car told me that he fixed my car, but it didn’t have gas, even though I gave it to him with half a tank. He kept giving me different reasons why my car wasn’t ready for me To make things worse, after initially telling me he had the part for my car, he then said he couldn’t find the part. When I did get my car, it had dirt stains on the inside of the car and grease on the trunk. I most definitely would never use this aamaco ever again

I have been dealing with them for several months now. They have replaced my phone engine for a pretty low cost then the a few other things the owner cut the price down on. Then my trans went out and the warranty company had a few issues but Berry helped get me back on the road. In short, service was great all around, nice prices. Will gladly take my 05 expedition back any time!

After the owner of the shop made a complaint about me taking too long to pick up my car. I came to get my car and I am still currently waiting to get my car due to the shop losing my car key. Very unprofessional

The office manager lady is sweet as pie. That being said, DO NOT LET THIS LOCATION WORK ON YOUR CAR. The owner is nonchalant about passing off incomplete work as done. I had a warranty-covered motor swap. This crew had my car for almost 6 weeks. My vehicle came back with a slipped transmission and an active leak. The owner takes no responsibility and refused to be accountable for the work that wasn't finished. Of course the warranty paid this incompetent shop and i got to slip off into the evening. I called back and they never could give me an accurate time estimate for re-checking the car. They had the car most of the summer, hindering my commute to work. I was offered a loaner, but the owner never committed. I also got the car back filthy and reeking of B.O. I'd never go back, even if THEY paid ME.

The worst! They tried to get me to replace the transmission when all I needed was a transmission speed sensor. A 16 dollar part.

Under absolutely NO circumstances should you bring your car here. I brought my car here for repairs last month because I was told the issue with my car was a solenoid problem. The solenoid was replaced and within 15-30 minutes of me driving out of the lot with the car, the issue persisted. It was a deeper rooted issue than just the solenoid, took to another place that ran my code and the same code had before taking it to get fixed for almost $700 was what came up. In addition to all of this, the staff was EXTREMELY unprofessional, nonchalant, and had me wait in Philadelphia for two extra days after I had already been scheduled to move out of the city. When contacting them about the status of my car, I was told “don’t call me, I’ll call you” by the person working on my car. The lack of communication was mind boggling and I would never, EVER, refer someone to this AAMCO. The frustrating part of this whole situation is being down $700 for a service that didn’t even fix what needed to be fixed, and the lost time that could’ve been avoided by seeking the car in the first place without getting all these unnecessary repairs first. But of course, they won’t tell you any of that because all they care about is making a quick buck, not if their repairs are inadequate or if you end up stranded on the side of a road because of a faulty repair. If I could rate this a 0/5 stars I would. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, come to this AAMCO. You have been warned.

Terrible Experience – Dishonest & Unprofessional I had an awful experience at AAMCO on Rising Sun Ave in Philadelphia. They picked up my car on a Wednesday and promised to call me Tuesday after the holiday weekend. I never got a call, so I had to chase them down myself. When I called Tuesday afternoon, they told me to call back at 3 PM. At 3, they said “tomorrow.” Wednesday comes, and the manager wasn’t even there because of a doctor’s appointment. When I showed up later to finally pick up my car, the manager was eating lunch. He eventually came in and told me a seal broke, and he had to go to the dealership for a new one, but he was still eating lunch while giving me excuses. He even told my sister not to leave because the car would “for sure” be done soon, yet clearly it wasn’t ready. The whole experience was full of delays, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior. To make things worse, my AirPods were stolen from my car while it was in their possession. They registered to that shop’s location for the entire week, and the “Find My” app showed them being moved around before ending up back at the shop. This place plays games, wastes your time, and clearly doesn’t respect customers or their property. I will never come back, and I’d strongly recommend avoiding this location altogether!!!! Like the others said you have been warned

I’m warning anyone considering this shop: stay far away. This place operates like a scam. I came in with an already confirmed transmission diagnosis, but they insisted on doing their own diagnostic. Once they ran it, they told me that if I chose not to repair the transmission with them, they would charge me $850–$1,000 just for the diagnostic — an amount they never mentioned upfront. On top of that, they tried to pressure and blackmail me by saying that if I refused the transmission repair, they would start charging daily storage fees for keeping my car, even though none of these fees were disclosed at the start. This shop uses hidden charges, intimidation tactics, and dishonest practices to trap customers. Do not trust them. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere reputable.

This place operates with pure dishonesty. Even when you arrive with a confirmed diagnosis, they insist on doing their own just so they can charge hundreds of dollars later. They hide fees, deny their own statements, and twist every situation to their financial benefit. Be careful with Julian.

This shop is horrible so this is how the nightmare started . I bought a truck through Carvana and I have a powertrain warranty through Silver rock. Silver rock recommended that I go to AAMC0 which is there partner transmission company in order for me to get the best deductible and guaranteed work. I took the truck there they didn’t make me sign no paperwork they just took the keys and said OK. We will call you.. I dropped it off on a Monday. It was Thursday and I still didn’t have no call from Amco or an update so I called Silver rock and they reached out and found out that supposedly it was supposed to be done by the 18th which was a week and a half later I called on the 18th which was a Thursday and the owner says oh we don’t even have the transmission yet. so I left it there for another four days Friday all the way till Tuesday, but keep in mind that Sunday following that Thursday I drove by to see if my truck was in the lot or in the building hoping maybe they got the transmission . Because Sunday they were calling for a blizzard. Sunday after I went by about four hours later, it started snowing and it didn’t stop snowing for almost 2 days so Tuesday I called just to see if they got the transmission and all of a sudden he says oh it’s done. I said it’s done he said yeah I just got a call Silverrock and see how much you owe. . So four hours later, he calls me and says you come pick it up. You owe that much which was $100 dollars for my Deductible. I get to the shop mind you for almost 5 hours. Now later the truck is in the lot completely covered in snow a foot of snow completely covering the windshield. Everything on the truck was completely covered on the handles on the step rails not touched so that truck was definitely never touched since Sunday midday while they’re closed all the way till Tuesday that you’re just then telling me it’s done something is not adding up. So I say maybe they did it Friday and Saturday and he was so busy .so I take it home. Everything‘s fine the next morning I start driving it and it starts doing exactly what I took it in there for that transmission, jumping from first a second and sometimes 2nd to 1st I call him. He says oh the same thing mind you he gave me a receipt and it said $6800 they were charging silver rock for doing a remanufactured transmission, a computer update and the diagnostic and something else with the computer. He tells me to bring it back in he says can you bring it in Saturday? I say I can bring it in now it’s Wednesday. He says well if you bring it in Saturday, the lift will be open so I bring it in Saturday. The lift isn’t open and he tells me to just give him the keys. I call Four days later Tuesday. Which he never called me any of those four days to update me. He says oh I test And I don’t feel Nothing. I explained to him that the cars gotta be warmed up transmissions gotta be warm and then you start feeling it. He makes an excuse that he wants to drive it on the highway, but there’s too much traffic. I told him you don’t need to. I feel it when you’re on the road just a regular street. Stop signs to stop sign so he goes. Oh don’t worry. We’re gonna figure it out tomorrow. I say tomorrow you’ve had my truck for more than two weeks often on. So I say OK the next day he calls me tells me he drove it for 45 minutes and didn’t feel nothing he says can you come in and show me drive with me and show me. I go and we drive it together finally I feel of a jerk and I say hey did you feel that? Keep in mind that it is a little less harsh. And he says oh yes oh yes that’s normal. It’s a new transmission and you have to drive a new transmission. Stop and go stop and go and it will go away it’s normal. I said OK and I trusted it so far. I had it for another two days and all of a sudden it’s even worse again. So now it feels exactly like it was when I first bring it in one day later from me and him test driving it and me taking it home again. Either he did not replace my transmission with a manufacturer one or he added this fluid that temporarily takes away harsh
