Vern was absolutely wonderful! All these other reviews are 100% accurate. My throttle body system we thought was busted, so I called and gave him the codes from my car. Other places were asking for upwards of 750$+ tax and other fees, but he saved me almost 300$! And I asked him the day of to change something else, and he said yes without any issues. I was going to wait at least a week without using my car, but he got me in and out the next morning in less than 3 hours! If you’re looking for a place to take your car, you’ve found it. Tell you friends too.

Took my wife's Volkswagen to Vern to have him fix a seal in the fire wall and he was amazing to work with. Dropped the vehicle off over night and he had it done first thing the next day. He was very precise and explained exactly what the problem was and how he was going to fix it. To me, Vern seems like an extremely trust worthy guy and isnt there to up-sell you on things that are not needed. I feel confident that I could send my wife back to Acutek without me being there which I could not say that for many other shops around town. The shop was very clean and welcoming. All around a great experience and I will use Acutek for all of my auto repairs in the future.

We were in a bind. We took our car to Brakes Plus due to it overheating. To make a long story short, we were told we had a cracked head or block and needed a rebuilt $5,000 engine. I believed what they told me and came very close to having them replace our engine. However, I decided we needed a second opinion and my wife's coworker suggested Vern at Acutek. We took the car there and Vern FIXED our car with a new thermostat. We didn't need a new engine! So I learned three lessons, 1) NEVER go back to Brakes Plus, 2) Always get a second opinion on major repairs and, 3) take all my vehicle repairs to Vern at Acutek.

Acutek is the best! Vern really knows what he's doing. Whether it's new tires, major repairs, or regular service I have taken all of my vehicles here since 2009. He has even done a road side emergency stop for me, helped with a couple issues on one of my Peterbilt semi's, and has even helped me with trailer tire and electrical issues on my boat trailer. Vern is amazing. He is extremely knowledgeable and treats each vehicle as his own - meaning no service is performed that he wouldn’t do in his own vehicles. If it can wait or he can save you money here and there he will! My wife and I take our cars there as does my business. I would recommend Acutek to anyone.

There are no words to describe how much I appreciate Vern and enjoy taking my vehicles to Acutek. Vern is professional, polite, and just an all-around wonderful human being. No hidden fees, the work that gets done is top notch, and every time I go to pay a bill, I'm always amazed at how much less Vern charges than literally every other auto repair/mechanic shop I've visited. As a female it’s so hard to trust mechanics because they always take advantage of you. But not Vern I found Acutek over a year ago, Vern as saved me so much money and has always been true to his word. I refuse to go anywhere else to get my car fixed now. If he sees something wrong with your car he lets you know price and to see if you want him to fix it along with what you brought your car in for.
