Got done with work only to find I had a terrible flat tire, the local air pumps were broke, so in desperation I went to advanced Auto parts, and Patrick was phenomenal!!! He absolutely went above and beyond to help me! Cant say enough about how grateful I was to have someone willing to help especially on such a cold night! A+!

I recently went to Advance Auto Parts in Dover, Delaware to buy a new battery for my car. I was very disappointed with the service I received. When I first walked in, the store was very crowded. There were only two employees working, and they were both very busy. I waited for about 10 minutes before I was able to get someone's attention. I finally walked out and went to AutoZone

Needed new wiper blades with all the rain we've had. I also needed a new turn signal bulb. They were very helpful in helping me find what I needed. Also installed all parts for me & showed me how to change the bulb for myself. Great customer service!

I'm a fairly new driver, so I don't know much about car parts. I ordered a windshield wiper for online pickup, which was ready for pickup in 10 minutes. When I got there I was immediately helped by a store associate, who also ordered my other wiper which wasn't in stock for an overnight delivery. He also installed my wiper for me, and refused to take a tip for it. As a former New Yorker that meant a lot to me... Overall I'd recommend coming here for any of your auto part needs.

They know how to look up the parts you need quite well. They seem to always have a former mechanic working that is helpful with trouble shooting. They will test your parts for free and will even change Your battery for you. Compared to the local higher priced Napa this place is awesome. The employees might not all have a mechanical background but as i said before, they know how to look up your parts and they can read your codes for free saving you a lot of loot over most places.

I went to Advance Auto Parts to purchase a battery. I was informed by a coworker that this business would install the battery if purchased there. Wrong.. the representative told me “oh we don’t install batteries after 5pm, it was 4:45pm. He said it was too close to 5. I went to Autozone and they were happy to help!

To be honest, this particular store doesn't even deserve 2 star's. I needed my vehicle checked out with their computer to find out, if possible, why my check engine light was on. The young man behind the counter informed me that his computer was not working. It failed to connect with the 3 previous customers vehicles. He made no effort to at least look at me while he was speaking to me. Personally I believe that he just didn't want to go outside in cold. To me, someone who can't look me in the eyes while speaking to me is lying. Just my personal opinion. Also the older gentleman behind the counter totally ignored me.

I am not sure what his name is.However,I must be honest and say that ,I went inside to ask about a Battery.The worker was ,so,so nice and helpful.He even came outside to look at my car battery.He even check to see if my battery was charging..Wonderful!!I would like to say.. As soon as I walked in I was recognized and told they were helping anger customer then I’m next. Then another worker helped me out and found out nothing was wrong with my battery, I was told by another store I had to get a new battery. I was asked by the first guy I talked to at advance auto Did they have your car running when checking and this was how the other place misdiagnosed my car. Thank you Advance Auto Dover Delaware

The staff members of the Advance Auto Parts Store at 422 S Dupont Hwy, Dover, are AWESOME! I arrived at the store around 8 am in a car with a dying/dead battery. The recommended battery was in stock, but the staff member assisting me realized that the "recommended" battery was the wrong size for my Nissan Versa and they were out of the one I needed. They immediately reached out to another Advance Auto Parts to locate the correct battery and sent someone from their store to pick it up. It was installed (for free!) in record time and I was in my car and on my way to work by 9 am. The kind staff members in this store are truly the definition of "Excellent Customer Service"!

Buyer beware.... Terrible customer service. I spent over 500 dollars in this store on brakes, rotors and calibers. The calibers required a refurbished fee. I had to wait on the calibers till after 4, came in two different boxes. Was never opened or shown to me. I took all parts to my mechanic. He only did the brakes and rotors. He told me to return the calibers because they were refurbished and he wasn't putting them on my car. One box had a picture and the other one had a invoice taped across the top, sealing the box. When I went to return them the sales representative was rude. She took another customer before helping me after I told her I needed a refund. She opened the box with the picture, looks good. When she ripped the tapped box open there was rust. My mechanic didn't even open the box. She refused to refund my money for one caliber. I only received my refurbished refund. Terrible customer service. Also told me that I should have had a mechanic write a note saying he didn't open the box or use it.

I needed to remove tar on my white car without damaging the finish on my bumper. The product they recommended worked great. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The also stand by their product. I bought a car battery that was defective, and they immediately replaced it with a new one.

We had to get a new transmission for the Lexus. We were charged a deposit for the core and used a cash app card to pay. We just brought the old core back and we're reimbursed the charge for the core and the funds were available immediately. We were in and out within 5 minutes each time. Excellent!

Good variety of car parts, accessories and touch up paints. If they don't have it, they can order from other locations. When I went there they did not have what I needed, but the employee was courteous and helpful and offered to order what I needed. The store is clean and organized. Easily accessible from Dupont Hwy. Prices are competitive with other competing car part stores.

Went in there today Jan6th,2026 around. I thought it was a nice store until I had to go in multiple times.. just grabbing things I need for an oil change nothing crazy. And the last time I went in there I bought an oil filter, so I tell the guy hey like this doesn’t look like the same oil filter on my car it was a bit longer than the one I had. So he said to me “well that’s the one you bought” instead of double checking or explaining what I might have missed but no, very unsatisfied with the customer service, I didn’t like how when I went in there and everyone had their arms crossed… idk if it’s bc of me or the way I look but I’m very unhappy with the way I got treated in there when I’ve previously worked for the company and I’ve been a member for over 5 years now. So definitely NOT a location I will be visiting again. Thank you
