Very friendly staff. Just bought wiper blades. The associate (I believe DJ was his name) installed them very quickly. Yeah I know, it's just wiper blades, but they give me a fit trying to install them.

He helped me do a job that I had already paid another shop to do, but they did not do it correctly.......he not only identified the problem, but also came out and installed what I bought...This man needs a raise. Terrible customer service dude checking us out processed a core charge for something we weren’t returning before even asking we didn't know if that part was bad or not so now we have a new one that was $165 even if the old wasn't bad. Got annoyed when we told him that the oil filter we needed wasn't the one he told us it was started checking us out before giving us another oil filter code gm in training might not be the best role for someone with terrible customer service

Was ok had to find my own part on my phone cause the employee could not find it on there end she was nice and had very good manners but like most job they just throw there employees out to the wolf's with no training but they had my part in stock so guess I'm happy 😁

There’s a larger heavier set guy Named Rich, beard, maybe mid 30’s. Every-time I’ve come in for help he has given me attitude or just out right refused to help me. The final straw leading to this review was watching a coworker of his ask Him a simple question and he proceeded to get angry and reply In an angry and condescending tone. I work for Roanoke college and come here pretty regularly for things. I won’t be coming to this store anymore because of him.

This was the third store we tried looking for a battery and finally found the one we needed. Miles G was kind and helpful. I greatly appreciate him installing the battery on a hot day in the sun. Never got the sense it was a hassle or inconvenient for him. He was fast and polite.

I came in for a bulb for my headlight. Kyra H. who assisted me was extremely rude and not helpful. When she grabbed the bulbs on the racks she snatched them and gave me attitude. Needless to say she didn't even get the right bulb, so I went to another Auto Advance to return and get the correct bulb. The associate there even helped me put it in.

These guys are awesome, recently helped me with my battery that was going bad. Initially was reading ok but upon further diagnostics found out it was bad and replaced for free. Advance corporate should let their Canadian employee hang his Canadian flag ;)

This is my favorite Advance Auto in the area because they have all the tools out on the shelves and not behind the counter. As a professional mechanic and tool user who uses their DieHard brand of tools almost everyday it’s super convenient that I can just go in and look or buy at this location without having to go behind the counter to get a simple socket or wrench. I don’t mind going the extra few miles to this one to get stuff. I live closer to the Brambleton Avenue location but I’ve been going to the location on Electric Road since my family moved to the area about 23 years ago and back then this location was open 24 hours a day. I wish they were still open 24 hours a day but unfortunately that probably never will come back. I do wish their hours were a bit later though especially on Sunday because I’m a busy mechanic both at a shop and on the side and sometimes I need a part or something like fluids or anything late at night and can’t get it like I could in the old days. I miss going there at 2 and 3am sometimes with my dad to look around but good memories of an era in the past. I definitely recommend this location. This was also the location that we’d get parts from when I was in school down the road at Burton. So that’s why I like this location as well. So, if you’re listening Advance Auto please consider extending your business hours by an hour or two at least or at least at one location in the area. I have to drive to your competitor all the way across town on Williamson Road if it’s past 8 or 9 because they are open until 10 on some nights.

I did the curbside pick up service with this advance auto parts store, and the kindest gentleman named Robert took the time to come out and see if I needed anything because I had pulled up and hadn’t gotten out of the vehicle to come inside yet so he took the time to come and make sure I was OK cause I hadn’t called to tell them that I was outside yet because I had just placed the order but he took the time again to make sure that we were OK and if we needed anything, and I told him I had an online order and he immediately went and grabbed my order of wiper blades and then brought them right back out and offered to put them on free of charge and being that I’m a mom and I had my daughter with me and it was raining, it was such a blessing that I didn’t have to get her out of the car and he put our new wiper blades on within probably 30 seconds and we were on our way! Thank you again Robert for the incredible service and for being such a incredibly kind and caring person! You are truly an incredible asset to advance auto parts & I will definitely be returning to & highly recommending this location & Robert for any auto parts & services that they offer!
