Great prices, wide variety, all around a good store! One of the employees was giving out samples today, and he was incredibly nice and thoughtful and made the visit really pleasant. Wish I grabbed his name so I could properly give him credit!

BJs is fine, but avoid the tire center. Tire techs told me the tires I bought weren't very good and due to a dent in my door, that my tire might come flying off and they shouldn't have put it on a lift. Took to my mechanic and they put it on a lift and drove it and car is fine. Management apologized and gave me a $60 refund on over $200 purchase. Will never use tire center again

My wife and I have been Members at the Roanoke, VA Club since it opened and have decided to cancel membership due to the poor performance of curbside and lack of professionalism of Member Services. I would not recommend doing business at BJ's. We also have membership at Sam's and Costco and find them much better to work with.

I walked into the tire shop on a holiday, I was promptly greeted by Cameron. I inquired about tires as I know very little. He asked me a few questions about my driving habits and helped me pick out tires to suit my driving needs. (Who knew there are so many choices?) His patience in answering my questions and educating me was awesome. All employers should have people like him who don’t mind truly helping their customers! Thanks again Cameron I’ll definitely recommend you guys to everyone!

What a rip off! Don’t believe the sale prices listed in the flyer. I bought a Samsung TV on a Black Friday deal that was listed in their ad for $497.99 with a free 3-year protection plan. The tv was originally $799.99 and the protection plan was worth $49.99. I was charged tax on the full $849.98 even though the Black Friday cost was $497.99. Apparently they consider their sales discounts as a coupon on which tax is due. Make sure you read the fine print! The same tv was on sale at Best Buy for the same price but it would have cost me $18.66 less out of pocket because their discount is an actual discount and not subject to sales tax. Just like the sales price in the ads of every other major retailer is a discount. Nothing like paying a membership fee for the privilege of getting overcharged!

Refrigerated items aren't stored properly here. Items that were supposed to stay frozen until ready to use were placed in the refrigerated deli section with a 1 weeks stamp on it. That's gonna make some unlucky person sick. The chicken I bought from there had 3 more days on the Sell by date. When I opened it, the chicken was already bad.

The worst customer service I have ever had. They charge my card for a renewal that I didn't authorize or automatically sign up for. Then I called them and they said only way they can refund my money is if I come into the store that is 45mins from my home. I was trying to talk to the lady she yelled at me and then hung up on me.

I had never been there, so we dec8ded to check it out, walked around for over an hour just looking at all the prices and comparing. Spoke with 3 employees that we super super nice. I explained we were wanting to see if it was worth the drive for us since we live an hour away, I asked if they had a complimentary membership card for just 1 day, we were walking around to check things out,but we were not able to buy anything because of membership...he ask another employee, they were both super nice and said it shouldn't be a problem. We picked up 3 items, just bacon, cheerios and nabs(snack crackers). The older white headed lady was a control freak and said absolutely not, we had to but a membership. I couldn't justify 3 items for a membership. So I guess we wasted an hour. Prices were descent on some items, but not enough to drive and hour and pay fees and deal with the Karen at the front desk...she just wasn't nice at all. I would have probably paid the membership if I had not of met her..

I mainly got a membership because of the gas discount and IMO easier to access pumps. For the second time in a year, premium is not available. I had a Sams card for 15 years and never once experienced this. I think my membership is up in Aug so going to cancel. BJ's is much nicer and cleaner inside than Sam's, but again if the main thing I want is the premium gas... Last time it was out for a month or more. That just won't do. Edit: 10/6 Was in the area. Rode by to see if Premium pumps were working. They are out of service lol.

I've been a member since the Roanoke store opened, and also have their One Plus credit card which gives me 15¢ off per gallon of gas. For most of 2024 they are premium have been down or not working. three of my four vehicles require 91 and above octane and I spent $400 to $500 a month on gas so you can see how the 15 cents off and gas there is worthwhile. What's the point if they're never working,to pay a membership fee of $110 a year, to save approximately $250 on gas just isn't worth it anymore when they can't even keep a gas pump working.Their food prices are not competitive and actually more than most supermarkets in town. I have Walmart plus which allows me to get Sam's club prices for gas at Sam's club and Walmart gas stations and 10 cents off the regular price at Shell and Exxon. just not worth the headache everyday to go find out there's no premium gas.

Great store for all your quality lots needs, good quality and quantity in a reasonable price, With all year book for certain items discounts, Cashiers and Self Cashiers... Wide parking area, # Subscription is required.☝🏻💳 # Bad about is : Taxes 😐 VA 5.3% + VA 2.5% Which takes some of your discounts😏 Enjoy shopping 😉🌹

Leaving the store with a headache because management requires self checkout to be at maximum volume. Yelling out how much I’m paying isn’t only embarrassing and annoying, it also doesn’t stop theft. Considering cancelling my membership if this issue isn’t fixed as it’s simply not worth the literal headache to shop at your store.

I signed up for membership shortly after opening in Roanoke even when most would not due to the popularity of Sam's Club. I was shopping today for my Daughter because she wanted a few things and had some reward points. While using her membership card I was told that she had to be present to receive the rewards which was around $24.00, but did not object me using her card to checkout after demanding identification. I told the person working the front to forget the rewards I'll just pay and go. If $24.00 is going to be a problem for BJ,'S then my membership or hers must not be that important. You not only lost my membership, but two others in my family. I'm back to Sam's Club tomorrow.

I stopped going to this place a few years back one of the workers was very rude to me. I reported it to the Manager on duty. I should have written a report to the head office.

I just ordered outdoor patio furniture as it stated it would be delivered in 5 - 7 business days. I got the call today to schedule delivery....10 - 15 business days, no specific date until the week of delivery. I guess it is time to check out Sam's Club or visit my kids and go to Costco.

Called tire center to have 4 wheels tires mounted/balanced. Told afterwards where they were not purchased there they wouldn't mount them. Even as a member no go. They could not get the size needed so i purchased elsewhere online. Not that it matters but not renewing membership. Great way to turn away money.

I want to thank the workers at BJ’S that helped me out today with my stalled car that needed a battery. I don’t know what I would have done without you, so thank you again. God is good.

Smaller than Sam's, which I like. They basically sell similar things, but you can always find different non food items.

Bj you have been taking OUR citizens money. Not calibrating your scales in the meat department isn’t fair to anyone who’s on a budget you haven’t done it since July 2024 shame. Every little bit counts to small and Large families I have a a picture of it BUT there’s no way to attach it.
