Very poor work!!! Zero attention to detail. I went there with a laundry list of items and high expectations. Heard they were the best and most experienced so i trusted them. Dont be fooled. Over $4,000 paid and I have had to redo almost everything I paid for in less than 2 months. I regret trusting them. I drive my stang probably once every two weeks for no more than 10 miles. Basically to take the kids to school on a friday if it is nice and the driving range. Read carefully please New dashboard, not properly installed, loose screws and shakes. Had to go back. New antenna installed. Loose on the outside, wire for radio hanging on the inside, not tucked in or secured, just hanging in plain view. New windshield, installed with a grind mark on the driver side, loose screw on shroud and messy sealant everywhere. Windshield rubber sealant was all over my original cream colored seats. I asked them to clean it. They said yes and never did. New rearview mirror, fell off after a few weeks and smashed on my stick shift. I called Mark Cumberland and he said it was out of warranty after only a few weeks. This was actually my second time driving the car after picking it up and it fell off. I installed a new one myself, it is now secure and has not fallen off. Had new window handles installed. They installed three different handles!! What the heck, cant even match 4 handles? I took it back and they replaced with more mismatched handles!!! Update: Drivers side handle just broke off. Looked at passenger side and discovered that the driver side handle was preassembled using the wrong components that dont even fit together. I asked them to change my exhaust manifold gasket. Upon leaving them, the gasket blew. I took it back and they replaced it. After picking it up, it blew again. Mark blamed it in my headers. I was tired of driving to alamo mustang continuously to fix issues they caused, so frustrated that i took the exhaust header off myself to investigate the problem. Alamo mustang installed the wrong exhaust gasket!!!! They installed a regular $12 exhaust gasket instead of a $20 header exhaust gasket. It was burnt and blown. I purchased the new gasket online and installed it myself. Why could they not take the extra 5 minutes to do the right job. I asked alamo mustang to make the engine idle properly and not hesitate. They said it was a vacuum problem and installed a vacuum reservoir. This helped somewhat, but what was puzzling was the mess of wiring from my battery all the way around my strut tower support. This wiring continuously drained my battery and so i disconnected it. There was no difference to the engine idle or performance with these wires disconnected! The wiring is very messy and not secured well. The battery was a year old only. Mark said by the way, you need a new battery. This one is no good. It dies always. I ended up purchasing a new battery because the continous draining and charging killed it. Costco gave me almost full replacement value because the old one was new. Since unplugging the mystery wires the new battery has been great and never died. They told me i needed to have the carb rebuilt also, so i said go ahead. They took it off and sent it somewhere to get the work done. Zero details of where it went and zero warranty papers on it. New outside mirrors installed. Mirrors are very low quality and shake loose continuously. My passenger side mirror never keeps its position and i have to adjust coninuously. Im ready to glue it until i install another pair. I will never ever go back there for work again It may not be all Marks fault, but I 100% gauranty that he has some very careless amature people working for him and does not believe in long term customer relationships. I went there to have professional work done and ended up with pure disappointment and frustration. I was a lazy sucker, dont be one also, and dont be afraid to do the little things yourself. More satisfaction knowing you cared and took your time to do it right because you are proud of your car. I learned the hard way.

I’ll preface this with this is a review for work done in 2010: I brought my 1965 Ford Mustang in for a new transmission and clutch. After reviewing my options, we decided on a brand new Ford Racing transmission and Ford Racing King Cobra clutch. Fast forward 8 years (and ONLY 5K miles) and I’m having to replace both. My new mechanic brought me into the shop to show me the CLEARLY rebuilt transmission and bottom of the line, cheap clutch. This shop clearly lied to me and took advantage of my trust. I just hope they’ve changed their business practices since then and no one else gets ripped off like it did.

I’ve worked with Mark and this company a number of years on my 65’ conv. They did a fantastic job rebuilding/refurnishing my steering column, and did a great job helping me convert drum brakes to disc on the front. Also they helped rebuild and tune my carb, which had the gremlins. 👍

I stopped by to browse around at parts for my 1967 mustang. I specially wanted to see what they had in the way of dash pads. Long story short, there was a used one hanging on the wall for a 67’. After talking at length with the owner about it, he repeatedly told me that it was an original dash. To me it was worn, but for an original dash in decent shape, so I bought it. After getting it home and cleaning some dust from the back I uncovered a “California Mustang” imprint. A reproduction dash! I called the owner, I think his name is Mark, and he offered no apology and said “well, I thought it was original, but it’s yours now.” I even asked if I could return it for a lower price than I paid and was refused. He was very short with me on the phone. I am disappointed that he didn’t offer to make it right. Makes me wonder, if he has been in the business for so long how is he not able to tell an original part from a reproduction? I feel scammed and lied to.

Absolutely very poor business. I had my 1970 ford mustang AC installed. Mark the owner gave me a quote of $5,500 for a complete AC system installation. He told me that I had to put $3,600 to order the parts so they can start the project. I did ask him to give me a quote to check the transmission and install a weather strip on the driver window. But he did order a new dashboard in which I did give him the ok to order and add it to the final payment. The dashboard itself costed $250 not sure the cost of the installment, I would figure $500. Upon final payment, Mark said I $6,040. I told him why is the amount so high. He said that it turned out to be more than what he expected when installing the AC unit. I told him that that’s not what he quoted me, he said that that was just an estimate quote. I told him that it was not my fault that he quoted it incorrectly. I told him if that’s the way he conducts business and he said yes he does. I told him that if he would have given me the correct amount from the start that I would make that decision if I wanted to continue his services if the amount was so to high, not to take it upon himself. He’s a snake and will do anything to add to the services. He says he did other work on my car in which I never gave him consent, I just told him to give me a quote in which he never did, but took it upon himself to do the work. All he did was change out the transmission oil so he says, not sure if he did or not and install the weather strip without giving me a quote. So, I just paid a total of $9,847.64 when I should have just paid no more than $6,500 granted installing the dashboard in which I did give him consent to install. Again, he’s a snake and I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone.

They are awesome. I've had a problem on what distributor to fit my wife's 70 Mach1. We recently bought a shacker hood for her car and the shacker assembly wouldn't fit because of the distributor hight. They helped me out with other parts also that we had problems with. They answered all my questions and were supper cool. Thanks to the both of you.
