The staff was friendly and great at trouble shooting a past DEQ sensor fail issue and help resolve transmission issues I had . Wonderful communication and customer service, fair pricing, knowledgeable technicians, and no "up selling" or nonsense. They were able to get my car in quickly and the mechanic did research outside of business hours to help figure out our issue without costly diagnostic tests. This is how an auto shop should be run! Steve does not stand behind his work. Last April he replaced my catalytic converter. The exhaust flange bolts, which hold it in place, fell off in less than a year and a half (these bolts are spring loaded and should never fall off). We took it back in and the catalytic converter was so damaged that it was clogged. He berated me over the phone for a 1/2 hr and claimed that the damage done to the catalytic converter was because of misfires when I replaced the spark plugs and fuel injectors right before taking the car in. At the end of his rant, I said that I thought the vibrations caused by the flange bolts falling out over the last year and a half caused a lot more damage to the cat than a couple of misfires. Prius's misfire pretty softly, not big and loud like an old truck. While picking up my car at the shop, he again tried to say it was probably damaged from misfires. I said the cat banging around because it literally wasn't attached would cause a lot more damage than a handful of misfires which happened in my garage (it wasn't even driven, I towed the car to the shop). Steve said he wasn't the one who installed those bolts last April, one of his technicians did and he didn't take any responsibility. We paid and left. We have been taking our cars to All About Automotive for over a decade, and we will never go there again.

Took my 2010 Ford Explorer in for the first time. Got in suuuper quick. Diagnostics done in one day, with notification by email/text of issues. Office Queen, Debbie, was the Mary Poppins of customer service. Updates by phone call. Good/bad news delivered with kindness and humor. Prices were SO reasonable. Work was done swiftly. If you have an older car, these folks really have service dialed in. Be sure to go here, please. I'll never go to the dealer again!

Update: Dec 30 2024 I was contacted by the owner of All About Automotive and they agreed it was wrong and should not have happened. They have refunded what I paid. However, I shouldn’t have had to go through this… plus, had my truck not acted up again, I would have never been the wiser that I’d been ripped off. My lesson is that I need to research stuff before going to a company to fix something. You’re just setting yourself up to be taken advantage of… especially being female with automotive. Sadly, it’s still that way to this day. I do appreciate their admitting fault, but overall it left a bad taste in my mouth. Do your research out there! Original Post If I could give a negative review, I would. I've used All About Automotive since 2021 when I purchased my Ram Truck. It's been mostly oil service changes until recently, I had my driver window fail to go up automatically. I needed an oil change as well, and had a prepaid, so I booked it. They "fixed" the window by doing a "reset". I mentioned on the phone that they could show me the reset and the gal on the phone stated that it takes a specific device/machine to do it. Again, my driver window would not go up auto, so I googled it. I found out the reset steps that any dummy dan do. It took m e under 5 minutes to reset this myself. All Abut Automotive charged me 30 minutes of labor time at a price of $84.50. I just went to Gresham Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Service to get verification of what I was thinking.. that there is NOT a specific device needed. The reset is exactly what I did. The service guys totally raised their eyebrows over this one and apologized that I was taken advantage of. I have also found out that All About Automotive has the highest labor rates in Gresham and there is a lot of talk that they are doing things that are not industry standard. Rumors, but just want people to beware and don't get taken to the cleaners like I did! I really hate these kinds of tactics! I hope All About Automotive goes out of business... would serve them right!

Hard to start cold almost impossible to start when warm Got to the point where I wouldn't use my Suburban because if I drove somewhere I would be stranded until it cooled back down. I took it to All About Automotive and discussed my issues, they took the time to listen and did some diagnostics on it and let me know there was an issue with the starter and corrosion on the battery cables between the two it starts better than it has for the past 5 years. I had them do a few other maintenance jobs and I was good to go. They also noted that my radiator had a leak so they wouldn't add the antifreeze as I asked, which I appreciated. They gave me a quote and because i recently lost my job I told them I could take care of that issue. I brought it home it runs great and I immediately replaced the radiator myself but really appreciate them pointing it out to me so now I feel better about the winter season and it is ready to go. Thanks again, I trust them, they are not cheap but I really don't want cheap I want it done right at a fair price and these guy's do a great job.

We've now had our Lexus and Thunderbird serviced/maintenance by All About Automotive, and will soon have our truck maintenances here as well, and moving away from Dealer service centers. We found more and more that 'advisors' at dealers lack empathy, communication skills (which include listening), and lack of understanding or care. Each time we've gone to Steve & Karens shop we've gained more and more trust in getting our car's done correctly and a willingness to explain the 'why' behind work needed, or not needed. We would definitely recommend them.

For the past few years, I have had my car serviced at a business owned and operated by a personal friend. He recently retired, and so I was faced with the question of where do I take my card for the next service. I chose to take it to All About Automotive because I knew the owners through membership in the Gresham Chamber of Commerce. Making an appointment with easy. I showed up on time and they immediately went to work. Service was prompt, efficient, and totally satisfactory. Cost was reasonable. Staff were very friendly. I will continue in the future to take my car to this shop for service needs. Recommend this place for your consideration.

A few years ago, I was whinging about bad car service to fellow members of the Gresham Chamber of Commerce. Several recommended All About Automotive. I am glad I listened to them. The quality of the service, the respect for the customer and the vehicle are excellent. They really do treat the car as if it were their own. And they go beyond the "extra mile". Twice I was stuck without transport to/from the shop and twice the staff graciously offered to help -with a smile. I just had some repairs done to my 19 year old car and was, once again, pleased with the quality of the service. Now, several of my neighbours are asking for a referral ; gladly, I said !!!!!
