As a long time customer of Allen’s automotive I am sad to say our service with Eric Allen ended unprofessionally as a result of improper transmission service. The Allen automotive website states they service transmissions so when we had needed a transmission flush we took our vehicle to Allens automotive. The following day after getting it back there was transmission fluid leaking so we towed the car back to Allen’s considering the flush was completed by them the day before. Eric directed we take our vehicle elsewhere as they don’t specialize in transmissions…. This is interesting considering their website states they do transmission service but we ended up taking our car to another shop. The next shop acknowledged the leak but could see that the leak continued when they drove it around the block so they sent us home. Next time trying to drive our vehicle on the freeway the leaking of transmission fluid was excessive and our car was smoking. We took it to another shop to try to get another opinion. This new shop checked the fluid and indicated the transmission was overfilled causing a leak and showed us proof. The new shop asked who last filled it up and we indicated it was Allen’s automotive. The new shop encouraged us to contact Eric Allen to discuss this mistake and seek reimbursement for resulting costs due to their error. My husband reached out to Eric informing of the resulting issues related to the overfilled transmission fluid and was hung up on by Eric. Eric claims since we had two different shops look at the car we can’t be sure someone else didn’t overfill it and refused to resolve the issue with him. I called myself to try to find a resolution and clear up what appeared to be a misunderstanding on Eric’s end since we certainly have proof no one else filled fluid back into the car after they serviced it but he wouldn’t not hear it and decided to hang up on me as well and directed me to take him to court because he wouldn’t reimburse us for anything. Eric Allen would not hear us out to see his misunderstanding of the facts and conducted himself unprofessionally when speaking to my husband and myself. I think an honest mistake occurred here and Eric is not willing to make the situation right or even sympathize with our frustrations at the least. Nor was he willing to hear everything we had to say before becoming defensive and hanging up. He no longer responds to our calls or text messages as well so unfortunately we have not resolved the issue. Had he apologized for our experience at his shop and at least considered reimbursement of our resulting expenses we would still be customers though he has left us no recourse for a resolution.

A technician from there approached me at my home and told me he was a mechanic looking for side work. His name is Frank and he's about 65 years old. I hired him to put a radiator in my truck. After he was finished and I paid him, he attacked me. He tried to force kiss me. I struggled hard to get away from him. I was very body sore the next few days and my neck is injured. Luckily, I recorded the call when I confronted him a few days later. As for the work, all the water and antifreeze leaked out. He forgot to burp the system.He allowed the thermostat to slip and when he tightened the thermostat housing, it cracked. He broke the o ring at the transmission line to the radiator and all my transmission fluid leaked out. He must have known because he asked me for transmission fluid and a funnel but he never told me that he left it broken. I called Eric Allen today and told him what happened. He confirmed Frank worked there as a technician. He seemed receptive and indicated he would keep an eye on Frank. I gave 3 stars as an average of 0 for Frank, 5 for Eric

I have been here twice now. The first they fixed my ac and we’re somehow able to do it for half of what we got quoted somewhere else. The second time something happened to my bumper and I work until 4:15 so I got my car in at 4:30 with no appointment and was able to fix it that day. Having two great experiences always deserves a review in my book. They are a little quieter but are very friendly and helpful when you ask questions. I would recommend them to anyone.

If I could give zero stars I would. Took our Tahoe in for breaks and ac repair. When we picked our Tahoe up the brakes were still extremely squeaky. The older man blamed our driving instead of taking the time to look into it. Our AC wasn’t cold either. I wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone. Rude staff and terrible “mechanic work”.

My car died in the middle of the road after we had just left the hospital after my husband’s major surgery. This was in August and it was 117 outside. Ray was so kind while I was freaking out on the phone and Larry, the driver called me immediately to let me know he saw the notes and was on the way. I can’t say enough about them and how much they were able to help me calm down knowing I was going to get my husband home quickly and could deal with my car and the dealership later. Wish I could give 10 stars.

I am writing my most recent experience with Allens Automotive. I am a long time customer (3+years), and have taken all of my vehicle(s) to Allens Automotive. As of 4/29/24 I will NOT be returning to Allens automotive. You shouldn’t either. On 4/16 I had drop my truck off to get the transmission fluid and filter change since it was due and was planning on towing a trailer later that week. Was told by Eric that there are skid plates in the way and it’s hard to get pan off, i then asked for a transmission flush which he agreed and said all was good. The next day driving to work on freeway 10 miles away and transmissions starts to slip and reaches 230+ degrees I proceed to pull over and let it cool down at which point I had it towed back to Allen’s to further diagnose. When Eric had looked at it he told me they “were not a transmission shop” and advised me to take it to a “transmission shop” understandably I took my truck to his recommendation of a transmission shop. Upon arriving at transmission shop I waited in person so I could get it fixed and get on the road which was the day I had already scheduled to tow. Transmission shop says all is well cannot get temperature to climb past normal operating temp. They ONLY checked the fluid level, truck never went on the lift and no fluid was changed. Given that I was told all checks out, I decide to take it on the road… overheats AGAIN and fluid is dripping. 240+ transmission temperature for normal cruising speeds no trailer hooked up in either situation. Beyond frustrated, i then rent a truck and decide to tow with that truck and give some time to think about what the issue was. Fast forward a few days I take the truck to a THIRD shop 4/29/24 they tell me the fluid level was way overfilled, this new shop then proceeds to get fluid level to correct. Drives my truck around for a while and it maintained normal operating temperature range. I have rented a truck, had my truck towed to Allen’s, taken to a transmission shop and lastly taken to another shop to resolve issue. (Each shop visit I incurred cost.) once my truck is running fine I just tried to call Eric at Allens Automotive to let him know that the issue has been resolved, and that it was due to transmission fluid being overfilled. I again have been a long time customer and he knows who I am, I explain to him the situation in a calm manner, but also wanted to see if there was any way I could be reimbursed even half of what I incurred during the visit at Allen’s due to the transmission fluid being overfilled. This led him laughing at me and hanging up on me when trying to resolve this issue peacefully. I give it time to think about everything and let things cool off, my wife decides to call to try and smooth things out and maybe there might’ve been an understanding. But nope, same treatment stated that he himself check the fluid and it was fine and proceeded to hang up on my wife like myself. While on the call with my wife he proceeded to blame the other shops that it was their fault And he didn’t know if they had worked on it or not which she told him they did not. I was there the whole time I made sure of it. This interaction was solely based on bringing awareness and seeing if I could get somewhat of a refund. I am attaching photos of the invoices, dates, picture of transmission dipstick overfilled, that the third shop had sent me. This is not a way to do business especially to a long time customer. Again, my intention for just to bring it to his attention as to what the issue was and figure out a resolution.I do not write Google reviews, but this is worth the effort in writing for any future customers. Please see photos and consider before doing business with Allen’s automotive.

I recently had a disappointing experience with your customer service. The first time I was disconnected, I hoped it was a simple misunderstanding. However, after being hung up on twice by the same individual, it has become clear that this is not an isolated incident. My concern was validated after reading other recent reviews that report similar mistreatment and abrupt terminations of phone calls. I am leaving this review to bring attention to a pattern of behavior and to provide a constructive path forward. I believe the employee in question would benefit from additional training on how to resolve customer issues respectfully. While I am not typically one to leave negative feedback, I feel it is important to speak up when there appears to be a systemic issue. I hope to see improvement in this area for the benefit of all future customers. I will happily remove my review if, after one year, I no longer see similar complaints posted online.

Mike came out today when I was in need of a tow. Very fast at getting to my location and once there was professional throughout. It was only 96F outside but felt like 100+ so every minute counts. Turns out that the only issue was my battery so he was able to get my car running again and even offered to drive behind me to my location 2 miles away. He was so kind and helpful, I only wish I had some cash on me to tip him for his outstanding services. My review is solely on towing services. I used my road side assistance with Progressive when my alternator suddenly died on my way to work. Initially it was assigned to Evans Towing, after waiting for more than 3 hours I asked Progressive to assign my towing to another company. Chris from Allens Automotive & Repair arrived in less than an hour. His conversation totally calmed me from the chaotic day I was having, he is very knowledgeable and just overall great! If Progressive didnt already assign my car to another shop for drop off, theres no doubt I would've had him tow it to Allen's for repairs. Thank you Chris!
