It was an absolute pleasure working with Don at American V-Twin for the purchase of my first Harley! I found the bike advertised online, Don called me less than 20 minutes later, and I purchased over the phone. The entire process, from exploring options to finalizing the paperwork, was smooth and stress-free. What truly stood out was Don's commitment to customer satisfaction. He went above and beyond to ensure I felt comfortable and confident with my purchase. If you're in the market for a motorcycle and want a personalized and positive buying experience, I highly recommend visiting Don at American V-Twin. You won't be disappointed! I'm absolutely loving my Road Glide and am grateful to Don for making the whole process so enjoyable.

I just bought my 2021 Electra Glide Ultra Limited for a great price. It was so easy working with Aaron (sales rep) and Don (owner). They made the experience a piece of cake!

Bought a 2015 HD Electra Glide ultra classic limited from Don recently. He was helpful, insightful, and the process was smooth and unmatched. There was no pushy sales tactics and everything was taken care of in a timely fashion. Love the bike and love the shop.

Saying Don at American VTwin went above and beyond is an understatement. His customer service is above par. I purchased a bike from him and then ran into some issues with it. Don too amazing care of me and I couldn’t be happier. I will be sending anyone I run into, that is looking for a bike or service to him. A truly exceptional experience!

Honestly the best buying experience from start to finish. Don is a very down to earth straight shooter who makes fair deals and honors his word. I’ve been to a couple other shops in the area that come off smug, this was the exact opposite of that. I came in with a bike in mind and a bike to trade in, Don made me a reasonable offer on my existing bike and worked with me to make the deal happen. At no point did I feel pressured. There were a couple things that I had requested as part of the deal and we came to an overall agreement. The bike was in excellent condition and has been a dream to ride. Will be a future customer for not only service but in the event I want an upgrade in the future.

I purchased a Harley Davidson Sportster and wanted to have 10k service completed and to have my throttle fixed due to it not resetting. I did extensive research and decided to go with American V-Twin. Great price and service. I highly recommended this veteran owned business.

We bought a 2013 Harley Street Glide from Don last month. We drove three hours to buy the bike, he had everything ready to go when we got there, it was a fast extremely great experience. The bike was exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend American V-Twin!

I saw a bike that Don posted online, that same day I contacted him and came to look at it the next day. He called me before I made the 2 hour drive out, he did the numbers for me over the phone and when I arrived Don had all of the paperwork done. The bike was exactly what I was expecting and more. I recommend this shop to anyone interested in bikes. And Don is a stand up guy! Great experience overall 👍🏻

Donald, sadly I am contacting you about that beautiful turquoise and white 2005 that I bought a few weeks ago. I brought her to Ventura Harley Davidson a few days ago, and was shocked about what they told me. Yes, I bought her "Used," but some of the issues are really serious. I'm especially surprised because you said you had changed the oil, and looked at the bike. No, you hadn't. So, here is the list of things that are wrong with the bike. Not nit-picky things, mind you. Safety issues in some cases. First, the brake lever was bent from being dropped. The lever was so bent, it made it hell to ride it home. Stupid me, I should of looked closely, but I took you at your word that the bike had been "Looked over," and that You had been the mechanic for this bike for 14 years. You had promised to change the dark rear lense to clear, because one was dark, and one was clear. You forgot. You also forgot to put the cell phone charger on. I wish you had just told me in the first place that you weren't interested in doing that. As far as the oil, and tranny fluid; you hadn't changed it. It was dirty, very dirty, actually. All the fluids needed to be changed. Brakes; they are a mess. Disc brake rotor is warped. Needs to be replaced, replace front pads, service the front brake caliper, flush dot 5 system. The whole brake repairs that are needed will come to $686.63. The rear license plate holder had to be replaced so it would meet DMV regulations. There was no rear license plate light, which is unsafe and illegal. It never would of passed inspection when I got her to Florida. That came to $322.00 just for that. The trip reset switch on the speedometer needed to be replaced. $69.96. The fuel tank vent hose, evap hoses, and air cleaner hoses need to be replaced $347.50. Replace rear shocks, which were causing both sides of the motorcycle to scrape, leaving damage on the primary cover, exhaust, and floor boards. $910.95. The repair the belt guard. The mount tab was bent causing the belt guard to contact the pulley, which caused damage. $69.50. As far as the transmission; the fluid has metal shavings in it from a baring. That's all we know for now as far as that. At the minimum, it will cost $1,100 to brake open the tranny to determine damage, and provide a finally estimate. Yes, HD changed the tranny fluid and found the metal shavings. In addition, there were issues with the shift change lever; it was a cheap aftermarket. Both ends were loose, and caused damage to the engine block by rubbing against it. Not to mention, it could of fallen off because it was that loose. So much for checking over the bike as promised. The total will come to $2,435 at this point. PLUS, $1,100 at least for the tranny damage. Again, we realize that we bought 21 year-old bike as is. But, we made this purchase based on your word that you had gone through the bike, and also changed the oil. And, that you had been the only mechanic on this bike for 14 years, which I don't believe because there was just too much wrong with her. No, I'm not surrendering her back, I won't be returning her to you for repairs as we don't have a comfort level. Most of these things should of been addressed, or at least warned about prior to sale. Especially when I was flying from Florida for her. Donald, we took you at your word. We are beyond disappointed, but thankful we took her to a mechanic before the bike broke down on a trip. PLEASE HAVE YOUR MOTORCYCLE PRECHECKED BEFORE BUYING ANYTHING FROM HERE. I have reached out to Donald, the owner, multiple times, and he has ignored me until I made this Yelp review. And no, Donald, Ventura Harley Davidson didn't scam me. You did. Keep playing the victim role.

Above & beyond. Don was low key, honest to the bone, and cared A LOT that I did what’s best for me and whatever he could do to support that happening. I’ve visited over half the Harley dealerships on the west coast over the years, and all I can say is that working with Don ranks at the top of my experiences.

Don and crew at American V-Twin are all solid and would buy again. Don worked with me on wanting to get out of my heavy Street Glide and into a lighter faster Lowrider S. He was a huge help every step of the way and would absolutely buy again from here. If you’re in the market for a bike, parts or service, American V-Twin is the place to go. And I don’t even live in the area. I’m in Buena Park.

I came to American V-twin looking for a new bike after a wreck. Don found me the exact bike I wanted with very low mileage and gave me a price that could not be beat. To go even further, I wanted to upgrade the bike for some performance like I had on my previous ride and Don pointed me in all the right directions on what parts I should go with and gave me a steal of a deal on installation and labor. He ran into some issues during some of the installation/tuning that was completely out of his control but he reassured me that he would get it taken care of and this man came through. He went above and beyond to make sure I was well informed and taken care during the entire process. A mad scientist in the garage. I now have my dream bike back thanks to Don and American v-twin. If you’re looking for a new set of wheels, or looking to get maintenance or some performance upgrades done (he can dyno tune in house) with great customer service this is the place you need to go hands down.

I don’t usually review bad but this was a very special case that happened 4 years ago. I took in my custom soft tail with a carbureted ultra 140 for tune, paint, little wiring work and 2 new tires. Owner called me later with the total and It was a little over 4K and that was fine. Don’t know the guy, didn’t ask for a deal I just wanted to ride it. Picked it up first time about 2 weeks later and things weren’t done that we had been discussed, also greasy fingerprints all over the chrome spoke wheels. Came back second time the bike is not running good and notice the tank paint has bubbles around the fill. So they kept it and supposedly fix the issues. I come back 4 weeks later the paint is acceptable and the guy is strangely distant. So I get on the bike and ride straight to the gas station. I get about 300 yards away into old town and it has died 3 times and the battery dies from continuously starting it every 5 feet. I call the owner and he says he doesn’t have jumper cables and can’t help me. 2 hours later I get it 4 miles home with it shutting off periodically. Owner says he can’t help me. I thought that was strange since I just paid him to tuned it. Fast forward I sell it to a guy and when he gets home it won’t run for more than 2 min down the road just like with me. I gave him the shop info so he calls American V Twin and the owner goes into a rant about how the bike has all these problems and that it ran fine when I got it and he wouldn’t touch it again. Also stating how he lost money on the deal. The new owner took the tank off and after replacing a cracked fuel line and a clean fuel filter it runs amazing. I never told the owner I was on a budget I said I want it to run properly. He also never mentioned all these supposed problems of which were all resolved when the guy replaced the cracked fuel line and clean filter. If this supposed professional knew his job he would have either charged more or more importantly done a good job. I have many bikes and this is the first and last time I will be going to see him. Many better shops in the Temecula area that are actual bike mechanics and stand behind their work. The club that referred me is also taking their business elsewhere after seeing this whole mess transpire. I wouldn’t trust this guy to sharpen a crayon. Update- I’m extremely sorry it’s taken me so long to update this post as the actual owner contacted me some time ago. After talking to the owner I have come to realize I was dealing with a rogue employee. The owner was extremely apologetic not asking for anything more than a way to undo the issues caused from this employee. I would defiantly give them another try.

I was looking to trade my bike in on a touring Harley. A friend told me about American V-Twin in Temecula. I visited their site and saw several touring bikes in the style and colors I might be interested in. I was in the area and stopped by and met Victor. As soon as I walked in, I felt welcomed. Victor was very attentive, showed me the bikes I was interested in and answered all my questions, as I had quite a few. I test rode 3 Ultra limiteds. The one I wanted was a bit out of my chosen range to pay. Don the owner came out, took a good look at my bike and worked some magic to get us closer to the deal. Let me say here at no time did I feel pressured or rushed in any way. I felt my concerns were acknowledged and we came to a fair and workable plan. The inventory is a pretty good selection and the bikes have been inspected. and are road ready. I chose a Harley 2018 Ultra limited. The bike is a beauty. A small oil leak from the bottom of the primary had developed. I called and informed Don the owner, the shop mechanic located and fixed the oil leak quickly. I am very happy with not only the bike, service, and concern, but the relationship going forward. If you looking for straight up answers, good service, beautiful bikes thenstop by American V-Twin in Temecula. Buy more than a bike, start a good relationship

I’ve been going to American V-Twin for over two years. Getting work done on two motorcycles that I’ve owned. One being a 2019 sportster and I actually bought my dream bike a classic fat boy which was a 2005 anniversary edition. Don has always been upfront and honest about everything he does and asks for the customer. Whatever you want he will give you the best options for the bike that you have. There aren’t enough words I can use to praise this shop. Truly I recommend this shop for all riders from getting your first bike to experienced riders. He knows it all and has seen it all. I would go here 100 times over even if I lived 100 miles away I’d make the drive to come here

Hands down, the best motorcycle cycle buying experience I’ve ever had! Victor and Don are absolutely amazing — they helped me get my dream bike faster than I ever imagined. From the moment I walked in, they went above and beyond and did everything they can to make sure I went home with the low Rider S. They were incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cared about helping me, not just making a sale. The selection of motorcycles at American V-Twin is top-notch. Whether you're looking for something custom or a clean Harley-Davidson, they’ve got an awesome variety to choose from. The entire team was kind, welcoming, and professional throughout the whole process. I can’t thank Victor and Don enough for making this happen. if you're in the market for a bike I would highly recommend going to them!

Traded in my 2017 Iron 883 for a 2021 Low Rider S after eight plus years of riding it and it was the best decision I could’ve made second from visiting Don at American V-Twin. Personally speaking, the motorcycle industry isn’t the easiest to navigate alone, but Don has been helpful and kind throughout the entire process. If you’re looking for quality, reliability, and fairness, Don is your guy through and through. Forever grateful!
