Spoke with Mark who yelled and attempted to belittle me on the phone and was the rudest person I’ve ever spoke with. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Terrible service 7 hours to do a standard oil change, and an extremely rude staff and my truck was just sitting there with no one touching it every time I went back to check on it

I had a problem with water spewing onto the passenger side floor from air conditioning system. They quickly found and fixed the problem and sent me on my way. No charge. They won me over for any future work I may need and I will highly recommend them to anyone.

Hearing that a business doesn’t value great customer service and instead uses vulgar language toward its customer is very unsettling as a potential customer. Please look at this locations YELP reviews and you will see that this is NOT the first time they have done this before. Now to hear that you wanted to physically hurt a paying customer is unacceptable. Hope this serves you as a lesson learned and you will learn from this experience and better your work ethic or simply not be in the customer service business.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. Save your money & peace of mind. The man in charge is not mentally stable & very aggressive. He does not know how to communicate & would rather be confrontational. He has no problem getting in your face & using vulgar words. Check Yelp reviews before making your decision. There are other horrible reviews on the services he offers. It’s 2021, there is no reason ANYONE should put up with a person as disrespectful as he is.

Mark and Bob are top notch. Very good, quality, custom work. Guys who know mechanics, and racing culture. Great guys to deal with and honest. Told me up front what the price was (this was custom work too) and stuck to it. Would go back and in fact am going back soon for more work.

Mark and his team have been working on all my cars for over 25 years. They have been my go too for every car related issue from custom builds to normal maintenance and repair issues and have always provided the best advice and repair services. HIGHLY RECOMMEND them over dealership service department.

I've had both my vehicles worked on here. Service is fast, everyone is helpful and friendly. They've always offered advice regarding what repairs, in their professional option, should be done but they will happily do only the work you want done. No high pressure to up-sell or run up your costs. (Obviously, if the repair is an issue of safety, they will be clear about the urgency to do the repairs). If you wish you knew a good mechanic that won't rip you off or scare you into unnecessary repairs, you've found them.

Another great experience for a brake upgrade on my F250! Working with Mark and the mechanics at Fouthstreet Automotive has always been and always is a good experience. Professional and top of the line service for everyone. I have trusted this shop for all my vehicles from my classic, to my aging pickup, to my 2021 luxury model.

Don't let the 4.5 star review fool you. After only 8 reviews, it's not enough to tell the truth and after the experience I've had with them, I would not have my worst enemy do business with Fourth Street Automotive, but if you are still considering doing so, I suggest this: Get an iron clad legal contract in writing before turning your car over to them because the owner of this business is not an honest man. He stated that he does not do anything in writing...except his invoices that is. I hired him to restore my classic vehicle. I was promised a completion date of four and a half months. Three years later, he held my car ransom for literally thousands of dollars and neglected to return literally dozens of parts when I finally recovered the vehicle, most of them being expensive body accessories and the most valuable engine parts. He even gloated that he had done this to previous customers many times before me, proudly flaunting his knowledge of how to twist the laws to his own ends. An damning investigation from the Bureau of Automotive Repair didn't phase him. The local automotive community can't say enough about his horrible reputation. I guess PT Barnum was right. There's a sucker born every minute and he knows how to find them. Take my advice and don't be one of them. ADDITIONAL 8/23 - Since recovering my vehicle from this "business," I have had to systematically replace or repair EVERYTHING Fourth Street Automotive did to my car from the paint job, to the windows, to the engine, and electrical system. Literally everything. The fact that he now runs a restaurant on half of his property might say how bad a mechanic he is.

Had a bad experience here and would not return. Brought in a 69 F250 early 2024 for a clutch job, paid about $1800. Ended up having to return twice. The first time was immediately for some really loud grinding noise while in gear and strong vibration at the top of third and fourth. A heat shield wasn’t properly secured and it was fixed. The second was a couple of months later because the clutch pedal itself was sticking about halfway letting out. A small adjustment to a spring was made and it was fixed. Then more recently, when trying to start the truck, it made a really loud grinding sound and wouldn’t turnover. Figured it would be a bad starter. Went in to a local shop and they said it was an issue with the flywheel, quite a few teeth on the ring gear were pretty much sheared off. I talked to fourth Street and they they claimed to have never touched the flywheel during the clutch repair and would charge about $1k to change it out. I ended up going to WildBills in Murrieta (highly recommend) who confirmed the flywheel was not resurfaced and should have been and the drive shaft was connected incorrectly to the transmission yoke. This is the only experience I have with this shop and I know many mechanics are more reluctant to work on classic cars nowadays and I appreciate them taking a shot at it but I wouldn’t bring any car back here.

Extremely Unprofessional and Aggressive Behavior I had an awful experience with MARK. The owner/mechanic displayed unprofessional, bullying, and aggressive behavior, particularly toward me as a woman. He followed me to my car, yelling and cursing at me in front of my 9-year-old daughter. His behavior was completely unhinged and unacceptable. No one should feel threatened or unsafe at a business, and this experience left me shaken. I would never recommend this shop to anyone, especially women. A mechanic’s role is to provide service, not intimidation. This behavior is completely inexcusable, and frankly, this business should not be operating. Let me know if you’d like to adjust the tone or add more details.

I've had great experiences here while diagnosing issues with my old 1968 Jeep, and they also saved me from grief with a late on Friday, last minute leaking radiator hose repair on my Subaru. In my experience, Mark is a good guy with lots of knowledge in a wide variety of older car and engine issues. His shop is not to be confused with a quick lube place, but I'm quite sure they can fix anything. Old cars often have many disparate issues at the same time. Some critical, some benign. Fix one and you'll prob find the other... But that doesn't make it the mechanic's fault.
