Always short staffed for oil changes, drive 45 minutes for them to tell me to drop off vehicle for several hours or just refuse more cars

Had my Subaru in for an unexpected issue, and had Erik Lopez as my service advisor. This was my second time having Erik take care of me, and he did an amazing job! Erik goes above and beyond, to make sure you receive great care. Thanks Erik!

Just got my car back and it feels great. Happy to be on new tires and know I'm safe for the holidays coming up. Thanks to Evelyn for being super sweet to my mom and I. Always feels like special treatment :). A big thank you to all the quick mechanics as well. Quite a bit of repairs and they were done in a day. Thank you so much 💓 God bless you guys and Merry Christmas!

Tried to charge $1300 to replace 2 small wires; tried to get me to authorize the changing of my brake pads that weren't necessary; tried to get me to have the rotors spun that had ZERO DAMAGE, but was part of their "scheduled maintenance"; tried to get me to authorize an oil change due to an "oil leak" at the drain plug (oil was changed 2 days before they inspected it), etc. Service Manager tried to make all kinds of excuses, used the copy/paste corporate mantra, and then backed out of our text conversation regarding all this insinuating that I was being rude instead of owning up. Bottom line? In my experience with them, I believe they're nothing but scammers. STAY AWAY FROM THEM OR YOU'LL LIKELY GET RIPPED OFF IF YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CARS!!

For a first time service, the partner and I were impressed. The new staff member that helped us was attentive and surpassed her own tasks when our attendant couldn't see us due to other guests, so she stepped in and took care of us. Throughout the entire check-in process, she let us know what she was doing and what to expect while we waited. I wish she had a name tag! 😭 You were great! Even more impressive was the video they sent of your car and the different areas addressed in the service. It made me interested in learning more about the workings of my car. 💜 The service was quick, we should have waited at the dealership versus walk away for lunch. I should add they have continued text service with you while the car is being serviced. Highly recommend.

Scheduled a service on a Saturday, was given the option to wait until car was done. I reviewed and confirmed my appointment on Friday and clearly said I would be waiting. I get there Saturday morning only to find out they don’t have any techs to work on my car until Monday and they won’t be providing a loaner car. The waiting room is way too small and not enough seats for the amount of appointments they make. Also the employees keep taking all the snacks and soda in the waiting room that I thought are for customers. I guess they just use it as their own refrigerator.

First time buying a Subaru about a year ago & have had the unfortunate experiences of having major services done here. Very poor customer service & issues with service representatives. I have spent almost $5,000 here & I have been treated poorly by staff & they have created major inconveniences, frustrations & are just untrustworthy. First time in I was given wrong pricing information about brake replacement: Joshua was new at that time so they honored incorrect pricing. Ok fine- frustrating but proper customer service was given. Next, worked with Lee on control arms & bushing replacements- very difficult experience. Again pricing was not transparent, rep was uncommunicative & disorganized and I was told I would have to leave my car for days/overnight. Very frustrating experience with Lee & now my vehicle months later is making a noise in the area they supposedly serviced. Most recent negative experience was with Erik Lopez who literally was arguing with me & lied to me. Went in last week for oil change & told Erik about noise & previous service. Erik tried to pass me off to another person, did not want to deal with issues & then literally argued with me & lied to me about not accepting digital discounts. I have used a digital coupon, that his company sends out, many times over the past year but then now Erik did not want to give me because I had to “print it out.” That is a lie & has never been the case- the coupons are literally digital- ridiculous & such a hassle customers who spend so much $ should not have to deal with! Especially a service rep arguing! I guess he also did not want to give me a car wash as well as I was not asked nor was I given one… Supervisor Elder was no help & nothing he said made any sense! Trying to charge me $209 for them to check out the area they last worked on! Not ever spending one more dollar here & these negative experiences will also influence my decision to not buy another Subaru since no quality service is provided nor are customers cared about in any way. Manager of Operations- please contact me as I would like to further file a complaint about my experiences in your service department.

I was visiting family in the area but also looking to purchase a vehicle and Subaru is my first choice. I have researched vehicles for the past year so it was finally time to actually go and see these cars and test drive them I have to say from the moment we walked onto the lot it was a great experience. Benjamin was the salesperson who helped me and he was so friendly, and courteous without ever being pushy which I so appreciated. I had so many questions and even if he didn't know the answer he would find out for me. He had so much patience as we opened and tried out multiple vehicles and multiple trims. When you're ready to buy or even just gather information I highly recommend this car dealership.

Terrible service and even worse customer support. I was told multiple things were broken on my vehicle that weren’t, including being told my battery was dead when it was actually fine. They replaced the radio under warranty, but it still didn’t work—and they refused to give me a functioning replacement. Whatever you do, avoid this place. It’s worth the extra time to drive to Carlsbad—they actually helped me.

Both my family and my sister's family have been taking our Forresters to Hello Subaru for several years now. We have found them to be very fair and on several issues assisted us with reaching out to Subaru to help us find a solution. On our latest visit Robert was amazing looking at past issues from our records, listening to our concerns then doing a quick check and providing advice on what we can continue to observe and revisit the issues if it occurs again when we return for the next maintenance visit. He could have easily said we need to do a diagnostic in the shop for $200+ but instead gave us solid advice. This is how you keep a customer for life!
