My car has had some pretty terrible luck over the past year. First the front of the car was ripped off and the second time it was rear-ended. A friend recommended Apex after the first accident. For all of my Massachusetts friends, I cannot recommend highly enough Apex Auto Body in Stoughton. Sean McKiernan is the owner and he is astonishingly thoughtful and competent. I just picked up my 2009 Toyota Highlander, and he did an exceptional job on the body damage I have been driving around for two years (because I keep backing into a snowbank when I leave our garage, and had shredded the bumper in multiple places). Not only did he do a perfect job on the damage, but the price was terrific! He returned the car to me thoroughly washed on the outside and vacuumed and dusted on the inside. And there was no heavy cleaning fluid smell, either! That was a complete surprise. He made the entire thing easy and wonderful, and it was on time as predicted. He even had to correct mistakes made by another auto body shop (that will remain nameless), which mistakes with the wrong paint color caused his team additional work — but when I offered to pay for that unexpected challenge, he said not to worry about it. Please use Apex & tell Sean I sent you!

We live in a world of gas stations that want to sell you Mountain Dew and Doritos or look at you as an ATM when you need repair. Apex treats you fair or even more than fair. In fact, i cant remember a smoother service transaction. They fixed my car and detailed it at no charge and were even on time in the process. I am the 15th 5 star review out of 15.....That should tell you something. Seriously, have a repair issue? This is the place to go.

I chose this autobody shop after reading all of the positive reviews on Google, but it unfortunately turned out to be a mistake. From the lack of consistent and efficient communication (I worked mostly with Dave then briefly later with the owner Sean), to the gaslighting, attitude and unprofessionalism, and the apparent scamming, the experience was a nightmare from start to finish. They ended up having possession of my car for close to a month, and literally tried to convince my insurance company and I that a part that had no prior damage as evidenced by pictures taken before my car was left with them did, proceeded to replace it, and then demanded payment for the work done. They also kept arguing with my car insurance company that I had for years without any previous issues, to try to receive payment for other work done that was deemed as being unnecessary and therefore was unapproved, and then kept blaming them for the multiple delays insisting that they were “on” my “side” and “trying” their “best to get” my “car back to” me all while their actions showed otherwise. I couldn’t wait to finally get my car as far away from that shop as possible. I learned some very valuable lessons after my experience with Apex Autobody Shop, 1 being that you can’t always go by the positive reviews on Google, and 2 that there really are scamming autobody shops out there, because up until now, I’ve never dealt with one like that before. It’s also interesting to me how one of the only other negative reviews mentions race. After what transpired in my case, it certainly makes me wonder if that was a factor. Sidenote: I first went to Ace Auto Body in Stoughton before ultimately going with Apex simply for convenience of proximity, and they were so kind, welcoming, and appeared to be very transparent. John assessed the damage to my car and assured me that the repairs wouldn’t take long for him to do. I felt a completely different vibe and recommend giving them a try instead, I certainly wish I did.

Just got my car fixed up and they were great! Sean was friendly and helpful. Treated me like a person not a woman that can be talked into spending more on things not needed. Parts came in quick and car was fixed in less than a week! Used a rental from them and the process was so easy. Clean and friendly atmosphere all around. Sean is excellent. Great experience all around. My mothers car looks great and was repaired in less than a week. She is 87 and was confused by the new keys and tech. I spoke to Sean, he made a call and had rental company bring an older car with a conventional key. He did not have to do that but went out of his way for a customer. I was super impressed with the service I got from Apex. I got a quote from another auto body place that was significantly higher than what Apex quoted. I was skeptical, but took the chance. I couldn't be happier. They are super professional, quick and keep to their word. I would recommend them to anyone! I'm hoping I don't need body work anytime soon, but if I do, I won't go anywhere else!
