Been coming here for a few years, I remember when it used to cost me only $12 for my exterior and now it cost $16. I have an SUV not even a truck. Definitely looking for a new car wash especially if they raise the price again. It’s a convenient quick wash because you drive through the machine. However the machine will never be able to clean every little spot as good as a human can with their two hands. So to me the machine wash anywhere is never worth $16… The only time people are actually touching the car here is when you first get there they give it a quick blast with a power washer and then again after the wash to further dry the car using hand towels which is a nice touch. Just seems steep especially if it’s not an entire hand car wash. I inflation made soap prices go up…

I have been coming here for years and today was the last day. I had dirt all over my car after they said they were done. I told the guy to clean it and he smeared it all over my car and then walked away. I had to tell a different guy to clean my car and he got most of it off. $21 is expensive they raised their prices and now give low quality service. Im so upset I used to love them.

I have been coming to this car wash for about 20 years and I have noticed a difference in the quality of the service; I always select the Hurricane Wash which is $23, and I always spend $2 to vacuum my car myself because I just like to do it this way, as I was waiting for the attendant to wipe my car down I go and leave a gratuity in the pail, when I came back to my car I realized that they DID NOT CLEAN THE INSIDE WINDOW S , WHEN I WENT TO THE ATTENDANT HE SAID “ A HURRICANE WASH IS NOT A FULL SERVICE WASH AND WE DONT CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE GLASS”!! Is it Me? I just spent $25 on a wash here and cleaning the inside of the glass is not included, It used to be included and automatically done without me even saying anything; shame on these CHARACTERS working there, I can go to the Rossville Car wash on AK road ( just before Rossville Avenue) and they will clean inner glass!!!

I have been coming to this car wash for 10 years. Always great service. Today I had a problem with one of the workers. He sprayed my car door and didn’t dry it. I asked him to dry it. He said no and walked away. He actually walked inside thinking I would leave. I waited and the supervisor came to assist me. The supervisor was professional and dried the door for me. The owner needs to speak to this worker. Again I have always been highly satisfied but this experience will make me go somewhere else. There are plenty of car washes on Staten Island.

Really crappy car wash. Lately it's been really bad. One time they didn't even bother vacuuming the trunk. When I asked them to do it, they indicated that once the car moves to another guy it will be vacuumed. Once it got to him, he jumped in it and drove it into the exterior wash area. Last time, it came back to me dirty. Telling them how much they screwed up would require me to get in the line and wait for my turn (to have it redone).

Every time I come, my car leaves with dirt, leaves and bird shit still firmly attached. Water drips and spots everywhere. For $35, it'd be great if you did a better job washing my car than a heavy rain...

They advertise the Clorox disinfecting machine but they don't really have one, instead they will spray it manually just on surfaces. Cleaning is not good if your car got a bit extra dirt than usual, for instance after driving in the rural place. But good enough for an urban car.

Disrespectful staff and horrible service — I’m done. I’ve been bringing all three of my cars here every single week, rain or shine. You’d think a loyal, regular customer like me would be treated with a little respect — but clearly, they don’t care. Today I pointed out that my car was still dirty after the wash, and the guy collecting the money just said, “You can call my boss, I don’t care.” No apology. No effort to fix it. Just pure attitude and disrespect. If this is how they treat their regulars, imagine how little they care about new customers. I’m done wasting my time and money here. They’ve officially lost a loyal customer for good.

Hidden gem. They clean the cars really well. I was so tired of the other typically car washes on the island they all do a poor job and I was happy to find Armstrong! They are meticulous and attentive to detail. They do a great job and you will get your money worth. Only down side is they are cash only.

This car wash is ~15 minutes away from me and I’d take the drive every time—that’s how good this car wash is. I don’t think I need to explain how many car washes won’t properly dry your car or how their machines don’t clean properly. This car wash has competitive prices (for both exterior and full) and your car is returned to you looking its best. They even have a wide-open area with several vacuums so people can detail their own vehicles. The one thing this wash doesn’t offer but most others do is a plethora of vehicles accessories such as cleaning products, air fresheners, mats, snacks, drinks, etc. However, I still give them 5 stars.

I would normally give it 5 stars i actually like going here they have a solid crew. BUT today was different getting forced to pay cash is one thing but dont not shoot soap on the car ... you need to fix your machine... soap is crucial to minimize the dirt scratching the paint. I watched as the car went trough and the machine never shot soap just water before the machine touched it so when it came time for the triple polish it came out fine and actually washed the car but no soap is unacceptable.

Overall recommendation is to go and have your car washed at Armstrong. For my Toyota Sienna minivan I was charged $31. I feel that was a very good value and they did a very good job. I went on a Thursday at 9AM. There was no line. I purchased the “tornado” package which was worth it. Inside my windows were immaculate and my mirrors were 95% perfect, there were some corners not quite wiped but overall very good. From start to finish it was between 20-25 minutes. I suspect that when they are more busy you’re probably looking at 30-45 minutes. The inside was wiped down very well, this includes my dash display as well as my navigation screen. Believe it or not half the time I would bring my car for a wash neither of those would be wiped let alone fully clean. That earned a 5th star with me! Great job guys.

I was debating between giving two or three stars because this isn’t the first time I’ve had this issue. I recently paid for both an exterior and interior cleaning because there was a spill on my backseat mat. While the exterior always turns out decent, the interior has been consistently disappointing. I wish I had taken a look before leaving because I am in shock that the mat was left dirty like this. On my last visit, they removed the mats to wash them but put them back in still dirty. It doesn’t make sense to pay for an interior clean and leave with the inside still looking unclean. It also feels like there are too many people assigned to the interior cleaning, yet the job still isn’t done thoroughly. I hope they improve their attention to detail because I’d really like to continue coming here, but the inconsistency makes it hard to justify.
