This is a bit after my Mustang was treated. Wanted to get a real world opinion. First let me start with Jacob. He is the type of businessman you want to deal with. Small now, but building in the right way. Customer service is truly next level. Spent time explaining things and even helping with logistics. Quality of the job is far beyond my expectations. The shine is absolutely liquid. Not being a “ wash and wax” guy, it’s a total home run for me. You won’t be disappointed in any aspect in dealing with Jacob. I was recommended by a friend to Auto Protection Detailing. Very happy with the Icon Rockclear application on my Camaro. The coating really makes the metal flake in the paint pop in the sunlight. Peace of mind knowing there is a layer of protection over the paint to keep my car looking new and help make cleaning easier. There was an issue that took place on the interior protectant application and Jacob was honest and transparent about the mistake. I’m not sure I would have recognized the issue immediately if it wasn’t brought to attention. The issue is being corrected as I would expect a good business to handle. Cannot express how great of a job Jacob and his team did with my single stage paint correction, 10 year ceramic coat and ceramic interior! When looking to protect my new 2023 4Runner I contacted multiple other businesses but decided to go with Auto Protection Detailing after my consultation with Jacob. He spent over half an hour with me going over what my options were, answered all my questions, and provided detailed pricing which he didn’t change on me. He also turned me away from a higher price service of paint protection as it was overkill for my vehicle usage. In terms of the service he couldn’t have been better by updating me through each process. And by the way the work Jacob did is FLAWLESS. I’ve seen many vehicles with good and bad ceramic done, and this is showroom perfection. Ceramic coating of outside and inside of entire car. My experience with this company was amazing. From the original chat to the final product, I was kept updated on every aspect. The owner Jacob was professional and clear on what expectations should be, I also dropped car off with no gas, which he promptly filled. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, it looked amazing! I am very glad I was able to find him. I had bought the vehicle in Illinois where the front license was required to be displayed yet live in Michigan where it is not required. He made it look like the bracket had never been there. My vehicle was used and had some damage to the lower side below driver door, he also made it look very unnoticeable. I would gladly recommend him to anyone! He is also certified in the ceramic coating industry and very knowledgeable about the process. I wouldn’t take my car to some Joe Shmoe who hasn’t been trained on how to use a product from manufacturer, and I suggest you research your options. He was a perfect fit, I had done research prior to contacting him and basically knew the options available. I will say he is quick to respond, professional, and clearly proud of the quality work they produce. I cannot stress how great this experience was compared to local Ann Arbor options where the competition wouldn’t even call me back to consult in any way.

Having recently purchased my new Tesla Model Y and knowing they are notorious for having very soft and easily damaged paint, I knew I wanted to protect it. I got to doing some research and found that paint protection film was going to be wildly expensive and have some draw backs. So eventually I got to talking to Jacob at auto protection detailing and he quickly introduced me to a fairly new product that I knew nothing about. Icon rocklear sounded great from the outset, but unfortunately there’s not much information about it online. But based on Jacob’s excitement about it, and the confidence he had of it I decided to have my car coated. Due to my busy schedule, the guys were able to take care of my install over the weekend which I am very grateful for and boy was it worth it! I picked up my car and it looked absolutely fantastic, though unfortunately it didn’t stay clean that way for long do to rain and dirt roads😂. But now that the rocklear has cured and I can clean it whenever I want it can shine like that day I picked it up! The overall experience with Jacob was great, and he is ever patient with my questions and very responsive. I am well and truly confident that he and the team will take care of me in the future whenever I need. I just got my car back which got Icon Rocklear and am beyond satisfied by how it turned out. The gloss and shine from the coating is stupendous and the team got my Audi S3 looking like a showroom car again. The whole crew is extremely professional and friendly and explained everything really well to me and always answered my follow up questions. Throughout the whole process Hunter sent me pictures of my car and gave me calls to update me on what's going on. It turns out my car's ceramic coating was difficult to buff out so the whole car required some more labor to work through which they didn't even charge me for. On top of the Icon Rocklear that they put on my car, they used some of my touchup paint to mitigate some of the rock chips my car already had. 10/10 experience overall, these guys are the real deal and the pictures below speak for themselves.

UPDATE! 6 months ago I got Icon Rocklear and I have been very happy with the product that today I got my second coat of Icon Rocklear done it looks amazing. Hunter and Jacob did a great job. Thank you so much for the professionalism and great service!! I was looking to get ppf done on my 2022 lincoln corsair and I called Auto Protection spoke with Todd and he was telling me about Icon Rocklear and I had no idea about the product and I was skeptical because i never heard about it before but at the end of the call I was blown away at the product he sent videos and information on the product so I scheduled the appointment and I dropped my car off spoke to Jacob (the owner) on the phone and he was very informative about Icon Rocklear and I was excited. Hunter and the team sent pictures of the process and texts of how the job was going and they had my car about 2 days and when I went to pick the car up I was blown away at the results of what the team did with my car it looked brand new! It's been about a week since i got my car back and with gloomy days and rainy days the car still looks shiny and new very very happy with the team at Auto Protection and will be taking more cars there.
