Scammers. Tried to take advantage of my ignorance and charge me 1K to replace my brake rotors, which would have more than doubled the original repair of replacing an axle. When I declined and they wrote me a diagnostic, you can see they said “declined to replace brake rotors” instead of saying anything was wrong with them. Went to another place and they just replaced my axle.

If you are looking for a place to fulfill all your cars needs look no farther. Auto repair express is the spot to go! Excellent customer service, extremely quick service time and a very reliable shop. Any time I have a concern about my vehicle they are the 1st place I’d call & go to. The guys down at Auto Repair Express helped me out tremendously, I had bought a lemon off Craigslist and before I knew it I was broken down on the side of the road getting towed. Rick and his service techs at the shop got to the bottom of what the problem was, gave me really good rates on getting my vehicle serviced and had my car back to me in no time. They gained me as a loyal customer and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else besides here to Auto Express Repair to service my car. Highly recommended! If I could give them more stars on yelp I would!!! 10/10 !!!

The guys at Auto Repair Express are simply TOP NOTCH! I moved to Huntington Beach about a year ago and had been using my old mechanic for the past 20 years, so I was not looking forward to finding a new one. I got lucky on my first shot. Rick and Albert were just straight forward honest with what needed to be done and how much it would be. I don't review much because I feel it takes a few visits to really get the feel for a place and since my first visit, I have been back to have regular service and oil changes done, every time the price, work and service have been impeccable.

I highly recommend Auto Repair Express to anyone for their services needs! Rick went over in details with me for my oil leak, rear main gasket issue and also my brakes. Rick is very knowledgeable professional and took his time with me on explaining everything that needed to be fixed on my Tahoe. The time frame was exceptionally great for all the work I had done in it (1 day and a half) The mechanics there are friendly. The shop and waiting area is very clean and organized. I’m very happy I was referred to have my car serviced tby Valvoline. I have been back for others car services since then. Fair and reasonable pricing Thanks Rick and your staff :)

These guys were great! I went in with a busted A/C and cracked tires. They were very honest and transparent. After inspecting my car, Rick took the time to walk me through everything I wanted to know and clearly laid out the best options. Service was done within a day. I have only done a few reviews in my life and this place and Rick Gonzalez deserve it! I have been having car problems for the past 4 or 5 months. I've spent about 1000 dollars trying to get it fixed. The last place I went to fixed the sound, but it came back a couples months later even worse. Instead of going back to that place I randomly selected Auto repair express. Rick helped calm my nerves and was extremely nice and funny. He brought me out to my car and explained to my confused face what he believes it is while showing me in person. When he found the problem he showed me immediately and was able to fix it the same day. He gave me honest prices and called my dad to explain everything, since I didn't understand most of what needed to be done. This review is long enough, but I could go on. I would highly recommend to anyone, especially those who don't know much about cars. Thank you again!!

I took my old around-town car in for what I thought was front brakes. Turned out it needed back ones, too. It wasn't a money-making thing to claim that, as the parts were kept and shown to me to verify the work that was needed. While the extra work was unexpected, I'm glad that it was caught. I no longer have brake noise, but more importantly, the car now stops on a dime -sliently and with ease. Finding a trustworthy shop is not always an easy task, but I've definitely been impressed with Auto Repair Express in Huntington so far!

I took my 2015 Hyundai Sonata to Auto Repair Express for an overheating issue. Albert was the only positive part of the experience, he was kind and waited after hours for me to drop off the car. But overall, I was disappointed with the high cost and poor communication. I’ll let you decide as a reader if this is fair. I paid a total of $1,463.55, split across two charges: ——— 🔧 First Payment – $903.14 • Check engine light diagnosis – $185.00 • Labor to replace thermostat housing and purge cooling system – $320.00 • Thermostat housing with sensor – $399.95 • Engine coolant – $29.95 • Fees (shop + waste) – $25.00 • Sales tax – $41.94 ⸻ 🔧 Second Payment – $562.21 • Labor to replace water pump – $250.00 • Water pump – $299.95 • Fees (shop) – $6.66 • Sales tax – $5.60 ⸻ The car was eventually fixed, but when I picked it up, the interior had stains on the leather that weren’t there before. I brought it up, but the staff (especially someone named Rick) was rude and dismissive. Two stars: one for Albert’s professionalism, and one because the car is now running fine. But for nearly $1,500, I expected much better service and communication. I won’t be going back.

They are funny. I’m a woman who understands a lot of cars (dad taught me) it started when I called and politely asked who I was speaking with and how rude he didn’t say his name but anyway I called to get a quote on my car for a transmission fluid change and he wouldn’t give me estimated price even though I can provide all info for my car. I explained what’s happening with my car and what it needs to be done (first change oil then if it’s not fixed going to be a solenoid problem). I did my homework and how rude he was to me even kinda of making fun of my accent so PLEASE IF YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER, SISTER, MOM - LOVED ONE WOMAN DO NOT!!!!! COME HERE!!!!!!!! Shame on you.

Great service and pricing from Rick and his shop staff. Brought my 2001 Toyota Tundra in for Oil & Freon change. Up on the rack we found unseen damage that was an accident waiting to happen. Because of the through inspection from the mechanic I'm confidant the work done by the staff at ARE will keep my truck going well into the 350,000 mile + range. It runs fantastic and feels like im driving a new truck! (for a 4WD). Great communication throughout the whole visit was a breath of fresh air too. Easy 5 Stars.

I asked for an o7l change. Well 1 hour later am told I need several other items. The list was 5 items. Well i let them know i had only 45 minutes time when i got there. Well after hour they gave me a list of items that needed to be done and then was told they were waiting on a part to do oil change. Well 1 hours later i was finally done. Did not make the appointment I had scheduled and ended up losing that client due to missing appointment.
