Tom is great, he's a real Toyota expert and a straight shooter. I was recommended to him when i got my '02 tundra a little over a year ago. He went through it and made it run like new. This year i had some engine trouble and was possibly going to have to replace the engine. Tom explained to me the situation and offered an alternate solution that saved my engine and me several thousand dollars! I plan on keeping my truck for a long time and Tom and his crew are always going to be my go to guys if things go wrong. If you love your Toyota, trust it to a fellow Toyota owner who loves them as much as you do.

For over 20 years my wife and I have done business with this most extraordinary man and automotive repair company. First and foremost, Tom is honest as the day is long. Next, he automobiles, how to fix them, and how to do so at a cost that always....always is better than the competition. He's a gifted communicator, and so whether you know autos and repair or not, he'll make your problem easy to understand. Oh, and if for some reason he doesn't know what the issue is, or doesn't know your particular model car inside and out, he's the first to recommend another company to help out. Doesn't happen often, but he's got your back first every single time you reach out to him. Reach out to him. I took my 1996 truck into Autotyme for a single purpose... I needed it to safely get my son to Waco, TX from San Diego, CA for college. I changed out all the belts, put new brake rotors and pads, flushed the coolant, changed the oil and filter, and changed out the water pump myself but there were things beyond my level of skill that needed attention such as changing out the valve cover gaskets, rack and pinion assembly, rear axle bearings, and rear brake shoes. I am leaving this review to highlight the quality of work, care, and craftsmanship this shop offers. My truck hasn't run this good since 1996 and we were able to get to Waco, TX safely amongst semi's going 90mph... I won't be taking my truck to get serviced anywhere else.

I have been going to Autotyme for about 4 years now and have had both of my cars serviced there. Quick, friendly staff and Tom, the owner, is a genuine guy who's primary concern is making sure that his customers are satisfied and that they drive away in a safe, well running car. The work gets done when he says it will and the prices are never over the top. Last week my car was in the shop right beside Autotyme. It was a negative experience to say the least. The car was held for 5 days from Thursday morning till Monday 5pm. I had to rent a car because they were short staffed and needed 5 days to get a diagnosis. They never found the problem and just said you had very dirty oil. They never found the leak either. Just did an oil change and said they would send me along. Almost exactly a week later, that bandaid failed and i took to Google search to find a more experienced auto mechanic. I really got lucky here! Really! Thank you autotyme. Not only was the cost fair, and they found the leak , gave me greater understanding of my vehicles maintenance regime, I also was in and out with such haste. In my case it was same day and boy am I even more lucky that I got that fast of a service. Really special way of accomplishing what needed to be done. Also I appreciate how kind you all were .

If I could give 6 stars, I would! Tom is "The Toyota Man". My boyfriend and I took the car to another mechanic in Encinitas, who told us that it needed a new engine altogether... with no explanation of what was actually wrong. The car drove when we took it to that mechanic, and it didn't after we picked it up. We then had it towed to Autotyme, where Tom met us out in front of the shop. Not only was he a great communicator, giving us an exact time estimate of when he would be able to look at it, but he made us feel very welcomed. We both walked out of the parking lot knowing that the car was in good hands. Direct quote from the bf: "I think that guy could fix just about anything." Lo and behold, we found out -the same day- that all the car needed was a new air hose and battery! Tom was fair, fast, and funny (he only let us leave after telling us a few knee slappers that my grandfather would have been proud of). Autotyme has our business from now on, and I highly recommend this family run operation to anyone looking for a quality mechanic and autoshop. Thank you, Tom and team!

I have been taking my car to Autotyme Automotive for maintenance and have been extremely happy with the their service and attention to detail. Tom and his team does the work that needs to be completed and has never tried to upsell me. My Prius was giving me issues and I took it to Tom to diagnose. Tom kept it and worked on it for two days. He ran all the diagnostics and tests applicable. The tests all came out negative and the only issue we could think of was my wife did not have the driver door completely shut. When I arrived to pick up my car, Tom would not charge me for the work and time he had put into the car. I offered again to play him and he refused the offer. So refreshing to know there are still businesses out there like this one. Tom's prices are very fair to begin with. He still has rent and a staff that needs to be paid, and with that being said, I bought the team lunch. I appreciate the honesty and integrity of this shop and will continue to have my car maintenance completed by Anytyme Automotive as they do excellent work. I highly recommend this shop for any work you might need on your vehicle.

For 30 plus years, I have never had to take my car to a repair shop. Because I was married to a mechanic. Unfortunately, he passed away a couple of years ago. Tom and Sean are awesome! My girlfriend used to pour up beers for these guys at islands and she connected me with them for some auto service. They have taken great care of my Infiniti G37 helping me fix the rear window, replacing brake pads and rotors, oil changes, you name it! They are priced very fairly and put a lot of care into what they do. Will be back soon for more standard servicing.
