Don't. Had to take my car to them 3 times for the same problem. They never fixed it. While they didn't charge me for subsequent visits, they didn't call to update me (call for week), treated me like a hastle (it was running fine when you left) and the last time, told me he didn't know what else they could do. Took it to another shop and they fixed it in 20 minutes by googling the problem.

Beachside Automotive is an excellent place for car repairs. We have been using them since 2002 when we moved here. We used to own a Park Avenue, Chrysler 300 M, couple of Cadillacs, and now we own a Ford Fusion and a Honda Odyssey van. These folks do excellent honest work. You want honest, quality work? Trust in Beachside Automotive Repair! My entire family uses them for our auto fixes. It can be hard trusting someone to do the work, correctly, not overcharge, etc., etc.. They have always been more than helpful, professional, and worth it. They have never overcharged or stiffed me. In fact, once there was NO issue with my car, that had to be towed there on my lunch break LOL, but they spent a day testing it, free of charge. Good guys!

So, I'm torn. I was referred to Beachside Automotive to work on my '69 Oldsmobile. The motor has a knock in the lower, right side and an exhaust leak at the top right. Wheels get hot as well. Took two weeks to get an appointment. When I dropped the car off I didn't get to talk to a Mechanic directly. All work request go through a receptionist. Didn't hear anything for a couple days. I had to follow up to get a status update. Did eventually talk to a Mechanic, only because one answered the phone. Mechanics seem to know their stuff but they are a bit...gruff and a bit, well, condescending. Sorry, that's how I received their feedback. Anyway, they said the engine likely had a bad number 4 cylinder and that I might as well either get a replacement motor or do a rebuild. Don't want a replacement motor! Everything on the car is stock and original. They also said whoever did the brakes messed it up badly (pads on backwards, etc.) So, I asked for estimates on an engine rebuild and an estimate for brakes. Again, had to follow up a few times with phone calls and kept being told they were working on it or waiting for the rebuild shop to give them an estimate. (That told me they don't do rebuilds in shop.) Finally got a call with estimates about a week later. $6-7K for a rebuild and $600 for each front and rear brake jobs. I thought that was crazy! So, in the end, the shop was thorough and eventually got me what I was asking for but I always had to follow up, so not great communication, and their work estimates were pretty outrageous, in my humble opinion. I found another "classic automotive" shop that will do the rebuild, in house, for $5,500 and front and rear brakes for $300 each. Way better!

I met with Dan at Beachside Automotive Repair to seek an estimate of having the Starter replaced on my 2005 Honda Accord with 161K miles on it. Dan is a true professional, very personable and knows his business. He quickly provided a detailed estimate. He and his staff were able to complete this difficult job quickly as this Starter is buried deep within the engine compartment. I am very pleased with their professional services. Friendly, honest, and great communication! I highly recommend this repair shop. Dan was so pleasant on my initial phone call and throughout the whole process of getting my brake pads/rotors replaced. He called me within an hour to give me an estimate and had the work done the same day. I expected the repair to cost hundreds more than it actually did so the prices are very reasonable as well. I can now see why this shop was recommended to me and I’ll continue to do the same.

I had left my truck in Florida for 4 years without anyone using it and when I finely got there all my brakes were locked up . I had a two company take it to Beachside auto repair . They had it a few hours and called me to say everything brake wise had to be replaced. That’s what I had thought was needed anyway. They were really great with keeping in touch and advising me what the costs were before doing any work. My repaired breaks were never better and they were great with getting the work done in a timely manor .
