I was referred to Bell automotive by trusted friends and family members. I needed an oil change and belt replacement done before a last minute trip. Reinette at the front and Andre the mechanic were extremely kind, helpful, and attentive. They were so patient with me and were also able to finish my car the same day. I am so appreciative of their help and the excellent quality of their work.

WARNING: If you have a diesel take it to STRICTLY DIESEL on Parkside Ln not from from this shop here is why [PLZ READ WILL SAVE $$$$]...took my cummins in for a valve cover gasket blown, replaced the gasket no leaks...but...but....they did not replace the filter under the valve cover so I burned 5-6 quarts of oil between 7th and bell and goodyear. I thought it was rings so took it to Strictly Diesel and they told me right away the filter in the valve cover nvr got replaced. It should have been. Now the other hand...Bell rd auto charged me 1,175.57 for a valve cover gasket set and a upper gasket. Tell me why does a common gasket part cost 533.56? Isn't this a common part napa sells it part #( 6003370) for at the time 206.99 soo....ik they need to sell parts at mark up but thats just nuts. What ever happened to 10 or 20% on a regular part...? Well I called them about some lifters knocking due to the oil usage when I got it back since the filter nvr got changed. They won't do anything about it just said yeah...we did fix your leak and sound like your lifters need adjusted from the mileage on your truck now. Wow...they did fix the leak but not the problem. So...if you own a DIESEL...go to Strictly Diesel I should have done this the first time. Guess you learn in life i don't want anyone else getting problems like I did. There is a filter in the valve cover every 50-60k replace it. (2008 dodge ram cummins)Will give you headaches if you dont and could mess up your valves as well having to now go back to strictly diesel after my oil change and get them readjusted. Should be good after that. I called Bell rd Auto to see if they would atleast adjust my lifters and they said no. Its not on them since they fixed the leak. Thank you Bell rd Auto for fixing my leak. 2 star for not replacing the filter which is must and he told me on the phone the leak was fixed which they did but the price of the gasket kit also is really bad. I didn't want to leave a neg. Review but kinda have to at this point to only help others out. But seriously your mark ups...😆 thats just nuts wish I knew before committing. I even remeber asking if I could use my military discount there and buy the part for them but...thats where their Mark-up comes from. Napa is next door and they charged i think 100% extra for that part..? Idk it was 69.49 for upper gasket [32.00 napa cost] and 533.56 for kit ,part #(6003370) [206.99] napa cost Sry its long...hopefully some people saved $$$ from this. Like lots....im a simple mechanic know the basics and know this was wrong. I need a home to work on my own stuff. They do however have a 32k mile and 3 year warranty but not worth it if it causes more damage. Imma gonna get a lot of heat in this thread from diesel owners i bet on how stupid i was

I have come to Bell Rd Automotive a number of times. I started coming here simply due to it being a mile away from home. I come back because they are honest and do good quality work. I have an old car that has constant issues so things have added up. I get really frustrated and even when I’m heated they are able to simplify things for me to understand what is going on and what they will be doing from there. They aren’t cheap. But for the work they do, they are fair. You shouldn’t aim for cheap anyways when it’s your car. I appreciate the honesty. And I genuinely am impressed with how quick they get things done with how extensive some of the work can be. I have joined their car care club and even got a NAPA credit card through them for the benefits when I end up needing costly service. I will always keep coming back.

We are from out of state and our vehicle needed repaired. I found them on a google search called on a Saturday they got us in first thing on Monday. It was fixed by early afternoon. Everyone so friendly, checked with us on the cost before fixing, even had a follow up phone call to see if everything was working ok. I would recommend them to everyone!!

Searching for an honest and dependable auto repair shop can often feel more daunting than the car issue itself. However, at this family-owned establishment, you'll immediately feel the warmth and genuine care from the moment you walk through their doors. While your car might still be in need of repair, the one thing you won't have to worry about is being taken advantage of. What truly stood out to me was their genuine love for animals, a clear reflection of the compassionate individuals who run this business. With no hassles or second-guessing, you'll leave with the confidence that your vehicle was correctly diagnosed and fixed, all backed by a reassuring 3-year warranty.

Last year I brought my truck to this shop to make repairs that was covered under and extended warranty. The time chain needed to be replaced as well as the camshaft. The amount of repairs were so great that I had to pay an additional $12,000.00. I was stupid and ignorant enough to pay the $12,000.00 because I was convinced that the work would be under a 36 month warranty. Last week my timing chain and camshaft broke again and the shop refused to honor their warranty and make the repairs. They just gave me excuses why the repairs are not under warranty. If you value your wallet and your vehicle at all I would stay away from this place.

I had a pretty unique repair needed on my Mazda and the folks at Bell Road Auto took care of it so promptly and efficiently. Everyone that works here is super friendly and will do everything they can to assist you with any car troubles. If anything goes wrong with my vehicle in the future (knock on wood that it doesn't), I know where I'll be going.

Bell Road Automotive is excellent! They are conscience, thorough, and fair. They called me to tell me exactly what was wrong with my truck, the parts that needed to be replaced and the cost, including labor. Overall, a great experience.

My experience here was awesome. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything and got me an estimate fast. They were also very transparent on the pricing. They told me they could get it done by the end of the day even though they were closing soon and it was a multiple-part replacement (alternator and battery). They even drove me home while the car was being worked on and picked me up when it was ready. They ended up having to stay about 15 minutes after closing to finalize things. They were extremely friendly throughout the entire process. They were very knowledgeable and did a great job. Almost all parts come with a 3 year/36000 mile warranty. Highly recommend!

This place is really unprofessional. I took my car in & the same day I was given a diagnosis of a thermostat. (Exactly what I assumed it was) I was told it would be fixed the next day & ready to be picked up. I got a call the next day & they were telling me that several things were wrong. My radiator had “stop & leak” was pouring liquid. My head gasket was more than likely blown. & I was told that it was 8,000 to fix. When initially was quoted 700. Anyways, I towed my car out as I felt they were being dishonest. Stop & leak was never poured into my car & it is really unfortunate they just make things up. I took it to a reliable mechanic & an entire diagnostic was done. All that was wrong was the thermostat. They were trying to replace the entire cooling system even though there was no issue with it. I believe they saw a female & thought they could get money. So disgusting, and I am sure they will have some excuse. But when my boyfriend picked the car up he told them no stop & leak was poured. And they had no response. Just seems so ignorant & dishonest! Bell Auto is misdiagnosing for extra profit, and they should not be doing service if this is their morals. Also are manipulating women who seem incompetent! Which a google search can answer most of your questions. But I am in schooling for automotive. So jokes aside you messed with the wrong person. Hope people like me can read this & choose a better shop!!!

Before reading my review I encourage you to read other negative reviews of this business. They have similar stories to mine of dishonesty and trying to take money from people. It’s not just me they did this to. This is my story and this happened a year ago. I came back here to write a review and warn others of this place that scams customers for money. The reason I waited so long to write a review is because I went against their advice of replacing something they said was broken and I didn’t think it was. I’ve been driving my vehicle for a year since my experience with this fraud business and my vehicle runs fine. It started a year ago when my battery died. They were the closest shop to me and were very friendly at first. They charged me almost $600 for a new battery which was a little absurd but I needed my car running so I accepted. They wanted to run a diagnostic test cause they heard something coming from my engine. When they called me back the next day they said my oil pump was bad and wanted to charge me $6400 to get it fixed. An oil pump broken… on a 2020 Hybrid RAV4. Being a student, I didn’t have the money for that so I declined and did some research. The part to replace costs only $200, so it would cost $6200 in labor? Even if you took the engine out of the car it shouldn’t cost that much in labor. So I called my friend who works on cars and said that price is ridiculous and at most is $4000 to fix. I then got another opinion, this time from my mechanic I normally go to in Tempe. He asked if I heard noise from the engine. I said no, just the normal noise an engine makes. He said if the oil pump went bad and I was driving, my car would be throwing a fit and giving me signals that something is wrong. He said to not take it back to that shop and call him if I notice something wrong in my car. Well here I am, one year later still driving my RAV4 everyday to work and occasionally going up north to off-road for some camping trips. This shop tried to lie its way into stealing $$6400 from me. The sad part was they were so nice at first and when I declined their work for the oil pump, when I went to pickup my car they didn’t even make eye contact with me when I walked in the building. I stood there for 5 minutes while they fiddled on their computers. No “hey welcome in” or “how can I help you?”. Just sat there and didn’t acknowledge me then printed a receipt and gave me my key. Legitimately a terrible business with horrible scamming people that work here. I warn anyone to stay away from this business.

Andy is an honest mechanic. Not the cheapest, but is honest. I purchased the car care club option. It is the way to go. Discounts on work and 4 oil changes. It saves so much in the long run.

Quoted over $4,000 for repairs on a 2003 Santa Fee. Went to an actual mechanic and everything they had examined and found “broken” was actually in perfect condition. Complete liars do not trust this “family-owned” mechanic.

Charged me 13000 to rebuild my engine took 3 months to do it left bad crankshaft only worked for 13,000 miles out of a 100,000 mile . Charged twice the cost of parts . Was to install a AC at the same time but didn't do it . It would not pass emissions when I got it back after the rebuild. It was missing vacuum lines that were not attached.

Recently tried this shop out. I dealt with Pat, he was ok , I didn't get any updates on the status of my vehicle. I had to call multiple times to find out what was going on the main reason I brought it in because the car was vibrating cause I told him it had a bent wheel after two days he told me he couldn't find a wheel. He didn't know much about wheels and tires, but he offered me a new one from the dealership for like $800. I told him to put it back together and throw the spare on for me to my surprise when I picked it up, he charged me $41 to put my spare tire on! Plus, I've already paid for an oil change. They didn't even rotate the tires. $41 to put on a spare tire? And the worst part is, he didn't even tell me how much it was gonna cost before he did it so I assumed it was complementary. I want to clarify in response to what the "owner" just wrote about my review. Are you not very good at reading? You wrote in response to my review that all the charges were reviewed and approved prior to the work being completed however, that that's my entire complaint. The charges were not reviewed prior to the work being completed. Your response is complete Baloney and it makes you look even more unprofessional than you did on that day when I visited your shop now after seeing that you have a huge attitude and a complete lack of professionalism I would highly recommend that no one goes to the shop. I will make sure to send all my friends and family else elsewhere.. A good business owner would have fallen on his sword and done what he could to make the situation right not tried to argue and downplay the customers review. This is very very poor business practice.

Great place, local very easy to locate. The lady that owns it was very nice and extremely helpful... Had my car towed there and was fixed pretty quickly. If you check around you'll see their prices are reasonable. As long as you don't have to deal with the husband, you'll be in good shape..

Bell Road Auto did a good job completing some necessary maintenance my vehicles. They completed all necessary work in a professional and timely fashion. They offer a 3 year guarantee on their work. The quickly replaced a defective shock that failed after installation at no charge. Both my cars run great now. The service manager Pat is very courteous and honest. I will definitely be back as a repeat customer in the future.
