Terrible customer service. Can’t fix a car in a reasonable amount of time. Can’t stick to a timeline. Can’t stick to a budget always goes over. Absolutely do not recommend for any type of service.

A great wrench -- would begin my rating of Biggins. They are competent, wondrous and informative. I have used them as have my children for the last 10 or more years. Complex problems (they once took one of my sons's cars for several days to explore an intermittent problem) they do as well as the mundane. Service is clean, orderly, well explained and complete. Greg has reviewed several cars (used) pre-buy with no-buy recommendations saving us 100's or 1000's of dollars. Huzzah's for this repair shop.

They are the only ones I will trust with my vehicle. Family owned business that makes you feel like you are one of the family! They always inform me of everything they do or find that they need to do on my vehicle. I feel safe driving my children around my vehicle knowing that they do the work on it.

Excellent people tell you the truth of what your truck or vehicle needs. My poor old truck needs a lot of work brought it to another company and then they said it was ready for the road. Beggins on the other hand told me exactly what is up with my vehicle. I'd rather someone be truthful than lie and I get hurt in the vehicle.

I bought a Skid Steer and needed it towed back home. I hired Greg at Bigginns Auto Repair to get it back home. He met me at the pick up location right on time. His price was more than fair and he was willing to make a stop at a gas station to let me fill the tank up on the Skid Steer so I wouldn't have to get diesel in 5 gallon cans at home. I (appreciated that) I will definitely use him again if I need a tow or for some repair work in the future. Greg A

Fantastic staff who will bend over backwards for you. The only place to go, if you want to trust that your vehicle was fixed right. Why trust that shady dealership or the shady mechanic with no experience? Biggins has an incredibly professional staff and are the best mechanics around, by far.

They are good. Those mechanics there know what they are doing. My car is almost brand new now and I love it. Is a little bit pricey but is worth it. If you want an awesome mechanic I highly recommend Biggins.

Had an appointment for an alignment on my car at 9am. Called at 3pm to find out they haven’t started work on it yet. Their excuse was that another car bogged down the lift for a brake job; they said it was going to be done in 30 minutes. No calls from them by 4:40pm so I called them to learn that they still haven’t done any work and that I can either pick it up or have them keep it overnight. Very poor communication and scheduling of repair jobs.

Absolutely best garage. My i truck needed a transmission and other and Craig shopped around for parts to keep the cost down. Clutch. Transmission. Fly wheel and other parts were replaced. Since I picked up my truck not one problem. Thank you Biggings. Al.

I've used Biggins Auto for two major vehicle repairs so far and will now be bringing my vehicles to them for all my needs. Their service is fast, friendly, very knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. There is no pressure to do add-on services, just a suggestion of things that should be done in the near future. I really appreciate this approach instead of your typical pushy sales.

I've been taking my car here for the past ten years. The owner is always pleasant and we always have a good conversation when it's not too busy. The prices are reasonable and I always feel like I can trust them. I would recommend this business if you need work done on your vehicle.

I am new to town and Biggins Auto came highly recommended but I'm sad to say I won't be back. I took my 2016 subaru crosstrek to Biggins for its 180k mile routine maintenance and to have an issue with the AC diagnosed. When I called to schedule, I was told the 180K mile maintenance looked like it would take 2 hours (which was surprisingly short to me), I was quoted $550 for labor and diagnostics on the AC and told that it would go up when they knew what parts I'd need for the maintenance service. We booked a date and I was clear that I would need the work completed and the car returned the same day before 5pm for daycare pick up. The day arrived, I dropped off my car in the morning, was clear again that I had to have the work finished in one day and the car ready for pick up by 5pm for daycare pick up. By 3:30 I called for an update - they’d had PLENTY of time to complete the 2 hour maintenance - and I was told the car would not be finished that day because an earlier car slowed them down; I'd have to get it tomorrow. I pushed back because I had to have the car to get my daughter from daycare by 5pm. I was told that I could come get the car that day after all but that only diagnostics had been completed, and I'd have to come back for the actual maintenance work. That day’s work came in just under $200, all for labor. Today I brought the car back to have the 180k maintenance completed. When I arrived, there was not a complete record of what had been done the week before so nobody actually knew what still needed to be done today to complete the maintenance and Greg had “left for a few hours” so apparently there was no way to find out either. They kept the car and this time I stayed at the shop to wait. They did the 180K maintenance (no idea if I paid for work to be repeated or not because nobody knew what happened the week before!) It took them 4+ hours for what I’d told would be a 2 hour maintenance! The only needed parts were fluids, spark plugs, and one break light. I was charged $771, bringing my total for the two appointments over $900 and within $60 of what it would have cost to have the service done at the dealership. I believe in shaping local. I really wanted to like this place. I also hoped that using a local mechanic would save some money off the dealership (everyone says it does after all!) but the hassle of spreading the work over two days, the WIDE difference between the estimated time and cost and what turned out to be the actual time and cost in the end, and the disruption of being without my car and having no loaner car for two days, just isn’t worth the $60 bucks I saved. Biggins also up charges 4% if you pay by card, but when they can't give an accurate estimate before work is begun, how are you supposed to be able to pay in cash?! Never again. I’ll be sticking with the dealership where the cost and time estimates are accurate, the desk staff are knowledgable (Bob had trouble navigating the computer every time I was in), and I can get a loner car for the day.

This review is long overdue as I have taken my vehicle to Biggins Auto Repair multiple times and have never been dissapointed. Very recently I brought my vehicle to this wonderful family owned business to have my timing belt system completely replaced. Though some issues with my vehicle did arise during the job due to my vehicles condition, the staff informed me of exactly what my vehicle needed to finish the job. The staff got the part I needed very quickly and within the next day my vehicle was returned to me with the job completely finished and every part replaced at a very reasonable price. At Biggins Auto Repair I am always treated with respect and courtesy, never lied to, and have always had excellent work done on my vehicle all with the staff being very polite. Whenever my vehicle needs work done, if I cannot do it myself, Biggins Auto Repair is where I will go. My thanks to the staff at Biggins Auto Repair for their excellent service.

Never coming back. Wanted to give a local small business a try and regretted it. Needed work done by yesterday, brought car in last Friday and was told they could do it. The entire week kept asking how much it would be, could not even give an estimate. Only gave parts cost, could not even tell me their hourly labor rate? Not even a rough estimate. Turns out they charge $116 an hour, over $1400 for labor and they still did not have my car done when promised. Had to delay our road trip by a day, and they still didnt even finish everything they said theyd do “because they wouldve needed it longer.” Dont accept a job you cant live up to, and its criminal to say you have no way to give any sort of idea about price and then stick people with such high costs. Tore my entire car apart without asking me. All I got was a “sorry” and sent on my way. Big regrets. $2500+ in the hole, everything I needed done still isn't finished, a day late leaving for vacation, and issue I initially went in for is not even fixed. Better off going to Meineke where youll be given a straight estimate of time and money that they will adhere to. EDIT: Was told when I left it was still driveable on the highway. Car is pulling all over the road. Now we are an hour into our road trip in a car that they left unsafe to drive. Cannot believe this. Feels like I got taken advantage of and now my car is more messed up than when I brought it in.

I highly recommend you come here for auto care if you’re based in Willimantic or surrounding areas. The staff make it clear that they are only charging for what you need and trying to get you the best deal on parts. Our car needed service on the hottest day this year and after dropping it off we were ready to walk back on the side of the road in the heat. One of the guys was going to grab breakfast and headed our direction, so he kindly dropped us off right at our front door. Super kind people here!

Had a gas leak said they had to put in a new fuel line .Charge me $600 plus. I put 1500 miles on and leaking Like a siv brought to Rose,s down the street . Higgins never replaced the fuel line that they charged me for, they patched the oem fuel line. They screwed me real good. If you go there check there work before leaving and make sure you see you old parts. A blind man can see you never put a new strap or fuel line on. I'm not going to argue with you because it's been to long. I just want people to be aware of your shaddy work.
