Absolutely amazing coffee. A new local business on 3rd in Renton. They have excellent coffee and pastries, and will be starting up their own roaster soon. The place has beautiful artwork and is a real treat for a bite and coffee. I ordered a Flat White, and it was as good as I have had in Europe. Just fantastic. This will be one of our new local haunts.

Great people, lovely coffee, delicious pastry, Umami Kushi is served here and it’s GOOD! The atmosphere is incredible and was busy for hours around lunchtime in a Thursday. Good people watching and larger cafe lounge. Cool production area. Clean bathrooms and in a great location with lots around.

Great coffee and great vibes! Boon Boona Renton has amazing East African brews, friendly baristas, and a warm, inviting space. Always a perfect spot to relax or get work done. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed this Matcha with sugar free vanilla added. The salted toffee cookie from Lowrider Cookies is fantastic

The interior of this coffee shop is so spacious and nice! There are plenty of seats at the windows. They also roast their own coffee here, which is really cool! The coffee tasted really smooth. I got a lavender latte and it was one of the best that I've had! There's a list of seasonal drinks at the counter which I think all sounded good. My partner and I got a chocolate croissant and an almond pinwheel and they were both very good. The almond pinwheel was filling and the chocolate croissant was nice and flaky. This is a really great coffee shop!

I really want to support this place. I’ve been coming here for 2-3 years now. The barista with the bleached hair consistently pulls sour shots, and also seems to have an attitude 80% of the time. It’s crazy to be paying nearly $10 with tip for really disappointing coffee. Also, he has gotten my order wrong more than once.

I came to buy some fresh roasted beans to my espresso machine. Service was ok. Place is big and spacious. It felt kinda empty when it comes to design.
One thing I can say that the bag of coffee (12 oz) is way overpriced (20$)There is a lot of local coffee roasters around that have great coffee for much less… 12-15$. Parking was good. I went in the afternoon and there were few spots in front of the cafe. I think it is a good place for a bigger events. I didn’t get any food this time.

Baristas are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. No uniforms with green aprons and muted colors allowed here, Howard Schultz. Bright, thought-provoking styles and unique designs are the norm. Pastries are fresh, scrumptious, and reasonably priced. Even their simple drip coffee packs a powerful punch of caffeine. My cup, ($1.50 refill for any size) kept me buzzing all morning long. Very spacious interior with plenty of electrical outlets for charging your phone and/or computer. No pressure at all to "move along" to open up seats for more paying customers. Sidewalk seating is a big plus on sunny days. Thoroughly enjoyable experience, patronizing a small, local business instead of an anti-union, international corporation which treats its employees with minimal respect.

Extremely slow. Barista chatted away for over a minute with another customer before taking my order. Then it took over 10min after ordering for my latte to come out. Unimpressed by it all considering there were 4 people working behind the counter.

I tried the Africano and a Hot Chocolate, but unfortunately, neither met my expectations. The Africano had a burnt, charred taste mixed with a hint of sourness—I honestly wonder who would enjoy this flavor profile. As for the Hot Chocolate, it was very watery as if they skimped on the cocoa powder, and the milk tasted quite cheap. Disappointing experience overall.

Friendly staff with decent coffee. A friend and I had their breakfast sandwich which was fine and the coffee (latte and cappuccino was definitely good) I would coffee there again but the selection and overall was just another coffee place though.

This place is the gem of Renton. It's a cultural meeting space for everyone in the area. Everytime I come here I'm amazed at the variety of people that are meeting, painting, card playing, and organizing here. This cafe fosters that creativity and community feel. I have also purchased bulk orders of roasted beans for several events that I've helped organize. The pricing is very good 30+ lbs. Great spot. Highly recommended.

Cozy vibes and not overwhelmingly loud even when busy. The coffee and food was fantastic. Had sausage and beyond meat breakfast sandwiches. Also serves ozaku pan, which is like a savory almost donut with many meat, vegetarian, and vegan options.
House-mad syrups are unique and good. I particularly liked the anise almond. Great service!

First of all, very hard to find parking spots. Then, as soon as you enter the door, it smells very bad. The cashier was inattentive and had a bad attitude. most important of all is that their coffee is very expensive!!! I ordered a 16oz latte it cost me more than $7!

This is such an amazing little coffee shop. It's very cozy and the drinks taste really good. The staff behind the counter are always so nice and easy to talk to. The drinks taste really good for the price you're paying. I got a latte with some of their lavender syrup and it was exceptionally good, didn't taste artificial at all. I do recommend coming here.

I really want to love Boon Boona. It has so much potential to be an awesome third space. Sadly, I’m consistently left disappointed.
I love working from coffee shops, but the WiFi connection almost always crashes at some point.
The seating is uncomfortable. Hard metal chairs and stools are your main option. There is one soft seating space, which is right in the middle of a bunch of smaller tables. The soft seating chairs feel awkward to sit in as well. I’d love it if there were some regular couches or chairs.
This place is super loud during peak hours. Even with headphones on, it’s difficult to think. This place is big and industrial, with concrete floors and exposed vents/beams. Combine that with an open floor plan and all metal furniture and you have zero sound dampening. I think this also contributes to the frigid temperature of the place. It’s nice in the summer, but uninviting in the winter.
Service is mixed. Usually the baristas are great, but there are a couple of employees that need additional training. There’s one person who I have to repeat my order to 3-4 times. This same person will also chat and flirt with people while there’s a huge line. No sense of urgency or professionalism.
I get that Boon Boona is all about the coffee, and if that’s all you’re looking for, then this is a great option. If you’re looking for a nice place to catch up with a friend, or work for a few hours, I wouldn’t recommend.

The staff is really friendly and nice; however, the coffee just isn’t very good. The milk is steamed poorly for a specialty coffee that costs six dollars.
I’ve been to other Boon Boona locations and my experience there has been different, so this might be a one-off, but still, disappointing coffee.

Love stopping by Boon Boona once in a while while passing downtown Renton.
Today’s visit, at 7:30am, few people, latte and a croissant. Best coffee around!

We had a cappuccino with oat milk and a drip coffee. Both were superb! Beautiful cafe with lots of light, workspaces and plenty of seating for individuals as well as different size groups. Friendly staff.

Found Boon Boona off of yelp.
Ordered the Africano for $5. All sizes at the same price was interesting. The coffee itself was lighter than expected, and smooth.
Huge space.
Street parking in the area.
