Better stay away from this place, LIAR'S as you never met before..! But not only that, I have driven near 6 hrs one way...to find out actually they LIE to me big time over the phone!😞 they don't even showed care, and have done it the second time face to face ! Absolutely BAD BUSINESS ! I should report them to BBB !!! When I get them cough with the lie...still not accepting the facts ! And still trying to turn in some FAKE reasons, they have sold the engine ECM, and they ''just remember'' the JUNK engine miles..! I'd like to tell the whole story here, about what happens...but it would take to many pages to describe. If you plan to buy an engine from these people, I'll be more than welcome to respond if you like to hear my hard way learned lesson !

BUYER BEWARE... I paid top dollar for a cut off and when I went to get the alignment done. I found out the axel housing was bent. I went up there to buy it in March.. I did see it and seen the leaf spring hanger bracket was broken and called Kenworth to get a price for the part and it was around $400...so I thought, that's not too bad....I did look at the frame rails and they looked straight. It was delivered to my mechanic down near Philly about a week later. My mechanic had the truck until July,(it was alot of work to section the frame to my truck , get the driveshaft built, run all the airlines and electric to the longer rear section. Now that it was all together I noticed the front axle was off.... I then seen that the passenger side leaf spring was bent. I replaced that and thought everything was now good.... Until I went to get it aligned. That's when I found out the housing itself was bent. So July is when I started calling this place to let them know it was bent.. I called a couple times and left a message with the receptionist each time...this went on for a couple weeks. I offered to bring my truck up there and even pay the labor to have the bad housing swapped out with a good one.... They said NO it was sold as is.... and also said that I could have picked the other cut off they offered... (Other one was wrong ratio , they did offer to switch gears but the other rear section was rusty, the truck was from a Denver, Colorado fleet and was worse than the frame rails on the one I picked out ) So again if you do buy something from them. Make sure it's exactly the part you need because you don't get any kind of warranty or your money back. I talked to 3 different places about swapping my rear housing and when I mentioned where I bought it from 2 of them told me the same thing..... I wasted my breath calling to get it replaced , that they won't stand behind anything they sell. I wanted my story to get out there so others don't have to go through the same thing I did.... just check the stuff thoroughly or have someone who knows what to look for go check it out first.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Awful people. They do not listen to customers. They force towing to their facilities. We have requested multiple time to take the vehicle to our selected facility. Then I was charged a nonsense amount of money as a “storage fee.” After you pay and try to take your vehicle out of their facility they give my hired tow truck drivers a hard time. There are better options out there!!!

Charged my company over 8,000 dollars for a winch out on a 16ft box truck and required a tow because of the large price, despite it being paid by one of the largest rental companies in the country that I used their road side service with and any tow company knows how this works. Complete scam, and you can see by the large number of 1 star reviews that this is a common practice. I would avoid this company, and I highly expect this company to be removed from their contract with the rental company due to this.

I cannot say enough good about this place. They got me the transmission I needed the same day that it was broken. Even driving 4 hours to get it. Eddie is knowledgeable, and courteous. At the end of it, he gave my 3 year old daughter money for ice cream, and that's what she got, with the rest of it going in her piggy bank. I highly recommend these people.

I had an amazing experience with this company, they went above and beyond to assist me, the hospitality was unforgettable given that was from out of state, the team members and the boss made sure that I got all the assistance that I needed, and yet they sent me out with a gift from their own workwear. I truly appreciate it.

On Aug 1, we broke down driving an extended Sprinter pulling a trailer on I-84 just east of Scranton. Boots & Hanks arrived with 2 towing trucks. One for the Sprinter the other for the trailer. Both vehicles were towed to a lot in Gouldsboro, PA. That service was excellent. The following day, the Sprinter was towed to a garage in Scranton. We were charged a large fee, but paid it. Since that time, we have asked on 6 occasions to have a copy of that invoice emailed to us. That has yet to occur. The office lady says she has done it 5 times. Maybe she has, but it hasn't come our way yet. She seems to be quite annoyed with our calls, and no longer responds to us. We need that invoice to give our insurance co. Any suggestions on how to obtain it or speak with someone else? The towing guys were fabulous!!

After telling me it was over 2k to tow my truck and trailer away I looked for options to pay less and asked to just move my truck and trailer to the side road so I wont be in the middle of the road and in a not friendly tone they told me I would be charged same amount. So basically, just for calling them over I was charged over 2K.

This company is abusive. I don’t know if they have some kind of arrangement with the state police to charge outrageous fees, but I had a very bad experience. One of our units was involved in an accident where another vehicle was hit, and this company towed my truck only 8 miles. When we called to verify the amount, they wanted to charge $8,500. Then, once they realized the insurance company was going to pay, they increased it to $10,500. This is total abuse. I don’t understand how in a country like this, there are companies that take advantage of situations like this. According to Pennsylvania law, they are supposed to post their service rates, but I was never able to find them. I filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General because they refused to release the loaded trailer, and the cargo was nearly damaged. It’s a complete monopoly in a so-called capitalist country. Later, to have them move the same truck from their location to my yard, which was over 30 miles, they charged $550 and refused to give me an invoice. This should be illegal. The authorities should take action against this company for such abuse. Then they called me trying to intimidate me, saying that their lawyer will handle the formal complaint I filed with the Attorney General and the USDOT. But they can do whatever they want — I’ll be there before the judge if necessary to defend the honest work of every company and to put an end to the illegal practices of these towing companies.

This company towed me a couple years ago and is the reason I got into the business. I'm going on over a year running a heavy wrecker in tx and couldn't be happier. Thanks for the motivation and being such laid back people!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A lifesaver when I needed it most! My rig broke down right in the middle of the interstate near Scranton, and I was in a really tough spot. I called Boots & Hanks and within 15 minutes, they were already at the scene. That kind of response time is almost unheard of in this business. Not only did they get me safely off the road, but they had me back at their garage and fully fixed up within just a few hours. The service was fast, professional, and honestly—perfect. I’ve dealt with other shops in the past that took advantage of stranded truckers, jacking up prices and dragging their feet just to squeeze every dime out of you. Boots & Hanks are the complete opposite. They were honest, incredibly fair with their pricing, and treated me with real respect. The customer service was top-tier from start to finish—friendly, helpful, and straightforward. If you’re ever in a jam, especially on the road, these guys are an absolute godsend. I can't recommend them enough. You can trust Boots & Hanks to take care of you without the runaround.

I was searching everywhere online for a Detroit DD15 engine and was honestly getting frustrated with the high prices and lack of clear communication—until I came across Boots & Hanks Truck Parts. Not only were they thousands of dollars cheaper than anyone else online, but the entire experience was next-level. I called the office and spoke with a very kind and knowledgeable woman—I believe her name was Pilar—who immediately sent me a detailed video of the exact engine. She took the time to walk me through everything, answered all my questions with patience, and made me feel confident in the purchase. Her compassion and professionalism were a breath of fresh air. I paid right over the phone, and within 5 days, the engine was delivered with free shipping—faster than I expected. We got it installed and it fired right up and ran perfectly with no issues at all. I’ve dealt with other parts centers in the past and had nothing but headaches—late shipping, broken promises, and questionable quality. Boots & Hanks was the complete opposite. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had buying truck parts. They are amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone in the market. I won’t go anywhere else now. Thank you, Boots & Hanks!

Was stuck in mud and another tow truck company stopped to "help". The guy from the other company told me that my stuck vehicle could be a police matter and that it can be considered an accident so it is best if I pay him $3000 to get it towed to a truck stop. All lies. THANKFULLY Boot and Hanks showed up and displayed a level of integrity that was commendable.Their price was reasonable, the friendly customer service was excellent and the driver went above and beyond to help. In a situation that could've been an opportunity to capitalize on distress, they were honest and transparent. Recommend them without hesitation.

I would never use this company by choice again, they obviously know that their "customers" are forced on them by the state police. My daughters car was towed by them on Sunday after she was in an accident, I called them while I was in the area to try to get her things out of the car as she goes to college in Scranton and I live south of Allentown. They convinced me to come back on a work day so they don't have to charge me $150 and I agreed, I asked what time they are open until and they said 5 o'clock. I show up at 4 o'clock Monday at the only address that was on the blank slip of paper that the driver gave me and they then informed me that the place the car is was 30 minutes south (closer to my house) and they were only open until 4:30. I get to where the car was stored and they have it stuffed in a snow bank so I can't even get to the back of the car to take the plate off. I wouldn't have been so mad but I just drove up from Coatesville which is almost 3 hours and had to take the belongings from the car to my daughter who was at college 5 minutes from where the address that they gave me was, causing me to add another hour to my drive to make it 5 and a half hours.
