I took it to a trusted mechanic who explained that one thing they claimed is a new part that is still in perfect condition, and the other probably has tens of thousands of miles left on it.

I recently visited Brake Masters on Higley in Queen Creek for an oil change and was thoroughly impressed with the service. From the moment I walked in, Dustin, the receptionist, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He quickly provided me with a clear and accurate estimate for an AC fix, which I greatly appreciated. Dustin's professionalism and friendly demeanor made the entire experience pleasant and stress-free. I had a great experience at Brake Masters! I stopped by for a wheel alignment and was pleasantly surprised they were able to take care of it on the spot — and quickly too. Dustin was professional, friendly, and genuinely fun to work with, which made the whole process even better. The lobby was clean, comfortable, and had cold water available, which was a nice touch while I waited. Overall, everything was smooth and hassle-free. I’d definitely choose them again!

I took my car here for an oil change. They called and told me a CV axle needed replacing and my transmission was beyond bad and needed to be replaced immediately (82k miles). He said it wouldn't make it another 100 miles and said there was black transmission fluid. He gave me a quote and said he had a used, low-mileage transmission down the street (his exact words to me) and said he could turn it around for me in about a week. He strongly suggested I don't try to drive it anywhere anymore and that it was critical the transmission be replaced. I came into the shop and he showed me some black fluid. I allowed him and his team to replace the transmission (big mistake). They kept my car for over 4 weeks. Every few days I called and asked for a status and they were still waiting on the transmission to be delivered. Apparently, "down the street" meant somewhere in the Midwest USA. Once they received the transmission, they installed it in 3-4 days. I received the car, and the next day had to return it because the a/c was empty. On my car, there was no reason they would have to remove the AC lines because of where the transmission sits. They attempted to refill it, only to tell me it was missing a seal and I would have to come back a few days later when they tech who installed it would be able to resolve it. We waited without using the car until they were able to resolve the AC issue. Shortly after, we noticed a lot of clanking noises coming from the front end, and the car had issues turning to the right (turning radius diminished greatly). Took it back in and was given an appointment to bring it in to resolve those issues. Additionally, I was informed that MOST if not ALL of the techs (including the tech who worked on my transmission) were FIRED shortly after my car was serviced. Turns out the original tech did not install the CV axle properly and the rack and pinion steering needed to redone (per their words, "re-stabbed"). They performed the steering service and now it steers fine, however we still have clanking noises and they weren't able to resolve that. They are under new management at this location, and while I know they will make a lot of changes I'll never take a car here or any other Brake Masters again.

I want to point out Cooper, my wife and I took her Mazda 6 in for a simple oil change as I usually do most the work on my vehicles and from the moment we stepped in the door we were greeted with smiling faces and respect which is hard to get now days especially in the auto industry. After dropping off the car I received a call letting me know how very well maintained our vehicle was for our age which was also nice to hear as I feel most shops just want to charge you for everything. He recommended 2 different services for the vehicle and I approved only one of them along with oil change. When we went to pick up vehicle cooper yet again greeted us with the most positive attitude and assured everything was taken care of and we won’t have any issues on the road. This is by far the best Brake masters or any auto shop you can take your car to as the employees here really care about the people who bring there cars in. Thank you Cooper for your positive attitude and my wife and I will forever be bringing our vehicles here for service.

Had a great experience today at Brake Masters on Queen Creek and Higley. Planned to come in for an oil change and wound up with an oil change, air filter cleaned, and suspension control arms replaced all within less than 3 hours. Discussion of necessary repairs vs. optional repairs was transparent and honest. I didn't feel pressured or belittled. Pricing was fair. Customer service was top notch. Even the movie choice in the lobby was 👍🏼👍🏼. My thanks to Bret, Dustin, and all the techs for getting the job done right.

I’ve been coming to this specific location for a couple years now. I was just there today because the dealership told me my brake fluid was low and out of spec. I called the shop and spoke to Bret. He told to bring the car in and they’ll check it out for me. Well I did. Dustin took care of me. He check to see if my brake pads were low by pulling off my tires and checked the quality of the brake fluid. I was told nothing was wrong and they weren’t going to unnecessarily charge me for a brake fluid flush. You don’t get more honest than that. On top of all this there was no charge. This just reaffirms my decision to always bring my three vehicles here for service. They have my trust and appreciation

I had really good experiences when this location first opened. Unfortunately, the last time I was there left a bad taste. I took my vehicle in for a routine oil change and the person working at the time came in and stated I needed to have my transmission fluid flushed. Luckily for me, I had that done at the dealer two months prior. I asked him how he came to that conclusion and he said “the mileage.” Didn’t ask if I’ve had it done, didn’t inspect the fluid, etc. just straight to recommending several hundred extra dollars worth of work due to the mileage. I told him I just had it done and he didn’t really have much to say after that. I was willing to give them another chance due to my great earlier experiences. I called today to get an estimate on spark plug replacements. They quoted me an insane $800+ price. Over double what the dealer on Gilbert and the 202 quoted me. That’s the final straw for me. They seem to be mostly focused on upselling and overcharging. Edit: taking away a star due to their garbage AI response. It’s true, car maintenance is expensive, even more so when Brake Masters tries to take advantage of you

Dustin is amazing; no other way to put it. I called at 10a, asked if he has any openings for an oil change/rotation and how quick can he get me out. He said 45 minutes. By the time I got there, he had to get a special filter for my Volks, check out…I was outta there by 11. A man of his word. Been going to him for awhile now…his customer service is consistently great. I only take my cars to him…says enough right there.
