The advisor Dan was very kind to sit down and explain everything about the maintenance to me. They fixed my starter, cleaned my fuel system, and did a brake flush. I felt confident knowing I was in good hands. The lobby was also comfortable and quiet to get some work done in.

Got alignment and they noted that front struts were shot. Scheduled appointment to have them replaced. Was done in very timely manner (along with oil change). Recommended replacing front tires followed up with new alignment (no charge). Dan (service advisor) was a delight to work with. Only complaint is a lack of comfortable seating in waiting area.

We almost lost a tire on the highway — and they brushed it off like it was nothing. Very disappointed with the Brakes Plus on Edgewood. After they serviced our brakes, my daughter and I drove out of town with only one lug nut holding a tire on. When we went back, we were told the nuts “just came loose” because of the tire size. We’ve had our truck for 10 years and have always used the same tire size, so that excuse made no sense. Months later, we discovered there was no lug nut key, and when we asked for help, we were met with sarcasm and zero responsibility from the guys in the back office. Dan was the only one who showed compassion and even called a place for us, but it sent us on a wild goose chase for a key. I understand that the guys there can be rough and rude with each other, but your customers aren’t always going to be ready to go head-to-head with you. Dan should not be the only exception when it comes to good customer service. It’s unfortunate that someone decent works under such dismissive management. We even emailed a formal complaint and never received a response. If you need service, skip Edgewood and go to the Brakes Plus on Blairs Ferry! Zoe and that team actually care.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This shop truly seems one of a kind. I’m not usually one to leave reviews, but I’ve been singing their praises since the first visit. They are honest, never try to upsell, and always explain what’s going on, the options, and the severity — no pushiness at all. I bought a car and took it to them to get a sign-off, and they not only did that but also fixed a few things and gave me a thoughtful list of things to watch for in the future. After 25 years of struggling to find a good mechanic, it’s amazing to finally find one that treats people like they’re at your dinner table. A true breath of fresh air — thanks for your excellent service!

My daughter and I went in for an oil change. It did take a bit longer than expected but the staff was nice and brought us colors, extra paper and candy. I did end up having another issue after we left and the staff came to help us and ending up taking extra good care of us, fixing a light and engine issue to make sure my car was safe for my daughter and I. Highly recommend.

We love this location of Brakes Plus and always come here as our first stop to service our cars. Dan is exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. His team does a great job completing repairs and suggesting maintenance in order of what’s most needed. Especially as a woman, I’ve gone to mechanics in the past and felt talked down to - I have never felt that way here. Stop by and give them a shot if you’re in CR!

Look no more for reliable and affordable mechanics. I walked in, they took my vehicle almost right away and get the job done promptly and properly(yeah yeah, I watch them do it) and to mention that no one can beat their cheaper prices. Despite being understaffed, Dan and the crew managed to finish my brake repairs without having to come in the next day. I have never experienced such top tier hospitality and quality customer service anywhere else! I felt like family. As someone who doesn’t know much about cars, I really appreciated how transparent and reasonable the prices are. I feel like I would have spent a lot more money if I had gone somewhere else. Dan will go out of his way to find the best deals, and educate me on how to care for my car without trying to take advantage with “upselling”. Please give Dan a raise!!! I will also be putting in a job application because I wouldn’t mind working with such great people as them! My car went from scraping the ground to driving as if it was brand new.

This is for the guys at the Edgewood Road location. I now consider to be my permanent auto repair shop. Dan the manager made it feel like a personal experience. He was a pleasure speaking to. As a woman I felt completely comfortable working with their team of mechanics. They assessed the problems with my vehicle, at no cost. They were completely transparent on costs. Dan pointed out the most serious issues to address first. They were open to make a plan with me, what I could afford to repair and when. I totally love this, no crazy add-ons to the bill. Every part was throughly explained, that was needed how they apply to the vehicle for safety and the mechanics. The guys stayed up late into the night to complete the job. These guys are my HEROS they are CHAMPIONS as far as I'm concerned these guys are the best. I completely enjoyed working with them and look forward to working with them again in the future. I intend to bring my homemade cookies for Dan and the guys at the shop well deserved. I strongly encourage anyone that needs a mechanic, these guys are excellent!!!!!
