The mechanic who owns the garage also does your repairs. As a former full time auto mechanic I can state wholeheartedly that this facility fixes your vehicle right, at a more than fair price and never tells you need work that is simply unnecessary. Having worked in this trade for people I would not want my sister to marry - that is truly refreshing. He has worked on 2 of my vehicles and also for 2 relatives. His work has always been performed professionally, cost effectively and on time. He has never asked me to do repairs we did not ask for or that obviously did need to be performed. If you want to find an honest garage, and yes, they still exist, then trust this facility. Dwayne's worked on 3 cars I've owned, and he goes above and beyond, no matter how big or small the work order is, he ALWAYS gets it right the first time. He's more than fair. A friend's air conditioner was bad and someone across town quoted 900 bucks. Dwayne did the work for way less. We all know that auto mechanics have a bad rep for ripping people off. Dwayne shop is a no frills a one person operation tucked away off West Main Street near Lake Saltonstall in Branford. He offers affordable rates for oil changes and repairs, plus he won't fix anything if it's not needed. You are not paying a corporation for high overhead but a real mechanic who knows his way around car engines. Parking is a bit tight near his shop but there is always a odd bit of area to park your car. Once in the shop you walk in the back and shout his name if you go without an appointment. It's like the old days but the good ones. Drop off and pick up. No place to wait inside shop.
