I initially went there for an oil change. Which went fine, but the owner told me my front left axel was cracked that I need to get it replaced. He gave me a price of $90 to get it fixed without the part. I came a few days later with the part, he replaced it and showed me the difference again between the parts. So I was satisfied thinking he is actually not try to get over on me. YEAH I WAS WRONG!! Not even five minutes later my car started to make noises. I went back and supposedly my hub bearing broke. The owner said that the axel was probably too tight and that is what caused it. MIND YOU HE IS THE ONE WHO WORKED ON MY CAR. Then he has the balls to tell me to get the part and he'll do the work for $150, like he was doing me a favor!. I got extremely annoyed, and frustrated. He didn't even want to speak to me directly at one point, kept walking around trying to fix odd ends. I had to follow him around the shop asking questions. Finally I gave up and told him to give me my money back. He did. But to fix his mistake was another chuck of cash out of my pocket, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! JUST A SCAM!!! NEVER GO HERE.

When I was working in Newark, my old bosses friend referred me here. It’s his brothers shop. They have fixed many things on my car from replacing my ac, brakes, rotors, my oil changes & water pump. I never had a problem and they always do a good job.

*AVOID THIS MECHANIC AT ALL COSTS** They misdiagnosed my AC problem which led me to spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars more. I went to Broadway Auto to have my brakes changed and because my AC was not blowing cold air. Their mechanic diagnosed the AC issue as a bad AC compressor. I had them change the compressor because of his diagnosis. After they changed it, it was still not working and also my check engine light was on (it was not on before that), and they did not know why. They told me to take it to an electrical mechanic because they didn't know why the check engine was on and why the air wasn't blowing cold. The electrical mechanic tested the old compressor and found it to be working! The problem was NOT the AC compressor at all. He found a disconnected temp sensor that was the real cause and he connected it and got my AC working fine. I asked him if he would be willing to speak to Broadway Auto to confirm everything and he said he would. When I went back to Broadway Auto and spoke to the owner Emilio and explained this to him and asked to be compensated for the cost and labor charges I spent for the new compressor, he was instantly defensive, loud and did all he could to confuse and cast doubt so he can discourage me from pursuing it. He angrily insisted that the old compressor WAS indeed bad and that his mechanic was correct in removing it. I asked him to speak with the other mechanic and he refused! After yelling and hanging up and calling me back several times, he finally and very begrudgingly agreed to refund me the cost of the compressor but when I asked for just a PARTIAL refund for the labor costs I put out HE YELLED AGAIN AND HUNG UP ON ME. I had to pursue getting my money back via my bank because I paid with a debit card. When you talk to him in person he walks around his shop like he is busy doing odds and ends so you get discouraged and walk away. They have different mechanics doing the work on your car, so you never have one person that knows exactly what's going on from start to finish with your vehicle and neither does the owner, so he is never there to keep track of the work and is clueless about all of the mistakes being made, but yet he is immediately loud, defensive and aggressive when you discuss a problem with him. In addition to my AC compressor I had them change my brakes as well because there was squeaking going on. They changed the brakes but the squeaking still continued. The other mechanic that fixed my AC issues looked into it and found that the brakes they installed required a lubricant that they did not apply and that was what was causing the squeak. So I still have to deal with the squeaky brakes until it's time to change them again. Dishonest, incompetent, and unprofessional.

They are very reliable. Took my car for the first time for repair after an small accident and they took care of it with quality and very fast. The second time, I took my car for a quick repair of the plastic that covers the engine. It was loosen and they adjusted it and didn’t even charge me. I’m definitely coming back for their services.

Warning! Think twice before letting them check or leaving your car for estimate or repairs. I had a very slow power steering leak takes 2 days to have to refill power steering reservoir. Took car in to shop and head mechanic Mauricio checked where leak was coming from and I was talking on my phone while not paying attention. He said it is a hose leak from reservoir to pump and need replacement. Okay? I brought the car in with a slow leak for sure and when leaving the shop to go home to order the hose online. The steering wheel felt very stiff and when parking I noticed he had already emptied the rest of the oil that was in my power steering system without replenishing the amount I had already placed in my car wasting my money using my own oil purchased. Then when I question it he tells me I need to buy another bottle of oil. What? Next morning I replace power steering fluid reservoir and it is gushing out furiously splattering under car. My car did not leak like this when I went in the day prior. I then took car to another mechanic at Wakeman Auto Repairs and explained to him what they did. Before I can even finish my sentence he said they tore my hose with a bigger hole to get my business and maybe get me to ruin my power steering pump or rack and pinion to get a bigger job and make more money out of me. I went back to Broadway Auto Repairs and disputed about my findings and they told me to leave. They underestimate you as if you do not know anything. What they never knew is I am retired mechanic. I left disgusted never ever to be there customer again. They have no integrity transparency or respect for the customers, Warning do not leave your car there behind to go back and pick it up again. They will mess with other parts of your car to make it look like later there's a problem with your car to have you keep coming back to keep taking your money$ They are not worthy of having my business. Be careful. You have been forewarned!

Scam artist and in experience mechanics. Took my car there due to stalling when trying to accelerate. Initially they said nothing was wrong even lied and said they took my car for a drive and didn’t see anything wrong. Pick my car up got it on the highway only for the check engine light to come on and my car to loose power. Took it back that Saturday Mario claimed I needed an electric high pressure fuel pump. When to Honda spent 856 dollars for the pump and paid Emilio 320 for labor only for me to pick my car up and the check engine light to come back on in addition to my car loosing power on 78. Took my car back and of Marco and Emilio lied and said it’s nothing wrong and maybe it’s an electric issue. Took my car to another mechanic who fixed my car. The problem turned out to be bad ignition coils. Please do not go to this shop they will take your money and tell you the wrong thing is wrong with your car. It’s such a dis service for anyone to be taken advantage of like they did me..
