10/10 This shop seems to be a hidden little gem. I stopped by to get a tire patched and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. As I was waiting I noticed the pricing is excellent and no bad reviews on google! It may not look like much but Buddy is 100% passing the saving on to you while providing excellent customer service. I’ve taken a few of my cars here and I’ve had a great experience every time. Buddy and his crew are very professional and tentative to customers needs. I’ve had small jobs and big jobs for this shop and have been very pleased with the outcome. Have bought several sets of tires at great prices. Not like some of the other big namebrand shops that charge a ton of fees and markup on each tire. Buddys Tires are great and he gives a warranty on the new set of tires that he sells. I definitely recommend Buddy’s automotive and Tires to my own family members and friends.

I came to Buddy's because I had gotten one of the coil pack bolts on my car stuck the last time I had changed my spark plugs. I also noticed some oil in the other spark plug wells so I had them take a look around as well. I was offered some snacks and coffee in the waiting area, and they immediately got my car into the bay. They were able to extract the bolt and I was reassured that my valve cover gasket was good for another 50k miles. Labor was very reasonable and I was only charged for a half hour's work. Will definitely be coming back for more major work when needed.

I am so glad I found a repair shop that has fast service at an affordable price. I brought my car in for new tires and to fix a transmission leak that I had. I am extremely happy with Buddy's shop. I had to change my breaks and when my brakes were off-market, he helped me choose the correct ones and fix them too. He was very patient and communicative, offering solutions every step of the way. Lakisha is very friendly and outgoing and made my wait enjoyable, she is great! Was referred here by a friend after my car broke down in the middle of traffic. I had no clue where to go to get towed and this will now be the only place I go. Buddy's was the kindest and most honest service I have ever experienced. I was expecting a much higher price tag for my services. Buddy's Automotive is an amazing shop to work with. Truly a breath of fresh air! He's quick to get you in and out, offers waiting or drop off. Has a nice clean shop and comfortable waiting room with complimentary coffee. He's such a great easy going guy to talk to and quickly understands the problem. Called in to see if they were able to put a new suspension kit on my 2018 Silverado and they said they could do it in four hours. I brought it in on a Saturday morning and was told id have it back mid day. I could tell by talking to the technician that he was not as mechanically competent as I was expecting and I eventually was told that he was not the lead mechanic, who i had spoken to a day prior. Sure enough I call four hours later and am told that they’re having a hard time getting the parts in, thats fine I have patience and give them till the end of the day. Closing time rolls around and the rookie mechanic is still fighting the install and ultimately the only option is to leave my truck on the lift until Monday when the lead mechanic comes in. So now my entire weekend is scrapped, all my plans for Sunday are canceled and im getting an Uber to work Monday morning. Mind you im still patient and I understand complications happen, irritated though. Monday afternoon I get to the shop and it’s complete, they give me a measly 10% off my final price and I drive off thinking everything was done correctly. Turns out even the lead mechanic is not as mechanically competent as he thinks either. Driving around on 5/9 I hear a loud pop come from the driver side and looking at the wheel I noticed it was tilted in towards the motor and upon further inspection I notice the adjustment cam has popped out of its placement, after speaking to some trusty FB consultants i am told that the cams have been installed UPSIDE DOWN, and upon bringing it in to another shop they tell me the bolts holding the cams are stripped, and there’s supposed to be a half moon hole in the cam enabling said bolt to manipulate said cam, that half moon had been stripped out as well. So here i am paying $1k to fix their incompetence on top of the $400 i paid them to do a bad job. Oh also I was supposed to take my mother to the Safari Park for Mother’s Day on the Saturday i had to take it in, that got scrapped. another weekend day ruined by these guys. I wouldn’t take my vehicle here if it needs anything serious done to it.

I originally planned to go to another nearby business to get a nail removed from my tire. At that business, they gave me a two hour wait time and gave me an estimate of double what Buddy's Automotive and Tires charged me. Upon arriving at Buddy's, I was greeted immediately, offered complimentary snacks and coffee inside their waiting room. The nail removal took no longer than 15 minutes. I was also offered a 5% military discount. In the future, I will bring my BMW SUV in for scheduled maintenance. This company is reliable with honest prices.

Buddy's is upstanding, kind, efficient, and does quality work. They are my go-to car mechanic in San Diego! They have some of the best prices in town for all my car needs, if not the best. My grad program is nearby, and all the students go here as well for their prices. Service is so fast too. The moment you step in, one of the workers comes to greet you and understands the problem so quickly. I recently brought my car in because my undercarriage panel was damaged and scraping on the ground. Buddy fixed it for free! My friend was quoted $400+ at another shop and paid $200 here. Buddy was so kind too. He was very sympathetic to my plight as a broke grad student and even set up a discount for students from my program. One of the best car shops in San Diego for sure. I can't recommend them enough.
