Approximately in 2014 or so I had a complaint against Toyota of Whittier because they tried to cheat me and refused to give me a refund. The BAR guy went after them and got me the refund. Talked to him several times on the phone and was sympathetic to my problem. I remember him saying “I’ll have to go over there an rattle their cage” I hope this guy still works there. I had a problem with heater. They kept the car for overnight, said I needed a new core behind dashboard. Over $1,000. Charged me $180 “diagnostic fee”. Talked to a friend about this issue and he advised me how to diagnose and fix. (back flush Heater Hose at Firewall) One half hour, no cost and problem solved. Unconscionable thieves, no apology.

I was only able to solve my problem with their help when they stepped in and the auto shop issued a check. The investigator on my case also advised me to follow up with the shop whether the check was cashed by my insurance within 2 months and if I take it to court, he would testify on my behalf. The check was cashed by my insurance and has now been reimbursed by my insurance. Thank you BAR.
