Do not take your car here. They reviewed my car because I had weezing in my A/C unit. There response was either a new engine or a head gasket replacement. I picked my car up, and took it to a more experienced shop, and it was just a radiator leak. It appeared they didnt want to work on my car so just made up a bill of over $5K. They do not have trained staff and could not diagnose anything.

Scheduled a State Inspection. Arrived punctually and waited and waited. Was told after 45 mins (and no coffee) that the inspection interface to State was not working. Suggested a nearby branch. Drove there and while switching off the car noticed that the car too had all kinds of diagnostic lights lit. Was told that the transmission needed replacement, ~$7,000 before any test could be done. Came home, read the codes via OBD scanner and exported the data for offline analysis. Actually, there was no need for all that. Somewhere during the original State inspection test, some monitor(s) were left in an indeterminate leading to false positives. Bottom line nobody at the shop was bothered the slightest bit to listen to the customer. All they were looking at were $$$$ signs. To add insult to injury, had to pay $119 to "get out of jail" at the other store. No issues going running errands since then. Obviously, the mechanic didn't "reset" the car after the failed communication with the State's computer.

Found a couple of minor issues and gave me quotes. But most importantly they gave me peace of mind about the vehicle I just bought.

Got my state inspection here! Highly recommend. Quick service, average pricing. Lounge area is very nice and accommodating. They have a Starbucks/coffee machine that allows coffee, hot chocolate and hot water for tea. Water stocked fridge. They even have a play pin for kids as well! Would come back for a state inspection again. Knowledgeable crew

Fantastic first time experience, new location in Sachse. They sent me a digital print out of my car and recommended actions while I was there, very cool. Great waiting area with Starbucks coffee, big screen TV, and even a play area for kids. Shout out to staff, who gave me the same level of service as my BMW place, that says a lot. Went in for a diagnosis, they said it failed some tests and the head gasket may be warped or bad. Took it to the dealership who confirmed there was no issue at all although there were other issues. James seemed a little on edge. Everyone else was pretty friendly but I wouldn’t use them for any diagnosis in the future.

Horribly rude people. Especially the manager James. I had to have my appointment rescheduled like 3 times partly because the guy they said they have there that is “ASE certified master technician” wasn’t there or called in sick etc. the day I was going to my appointment I called to make sure the ASE guy was there before I came. The manager James answered and kept questioning me on what my appointment was for. Proceeded to act like I was stupid telling me I don’t need to do what the DMV told me to do. Then told me I need to get it done and the DMV and they aren’t gonna help so don’t come and hung up. So I called back. Another guy named wynston answered. I asked him who the manager was and SHOCKER it was James. I told him well you manager has a horrible attitude and hung up on me. He is also kind of an idiot arguing that the DMV doesn’t know what they are talking about. I explained what I needed and asked to talk to the mechanic there that was ASE certified to explain it to him instead. Then James gets back on and says “hey it’s the idiot here” which clearly means wynston wants to start drama and told him what I had said. Which is also very unprofessional. He then tells me he can’t help me anyways because they don’t have an ASE certified master tech. He is only ASE certified. I asked him the different and he told me if I wasn’t an idiot I would know and then hung up. I called back again and Wynston answered. I asked for James again and he told me he was “at lunch” they may or may not do ok work. But people with attitudes like that a treat people like that in a business do not deserve peoples business. Please go elsewhere. Also FALSE advertising for them to say they have ASE certified master techs and then tell me they don’t. Showing a screenshot that says they do.

It's expected that anything related to your car and fixes cost money, so I appreciate the due diligence the team goes through to outline potential issues and walk me through their extensive report before proceeding. After going in just for an oil change and adding some additional repairs/maintenance, I noticed my car having an issue starting. The team went beyond in terms of customer service, triaged the issue, and repaired it at no cost to myself. If you are looking for great service and price transparency, come here so you make sure every extra dollar you spend is for a good reason.

This place has a wonderful customer service. The check in is always easy and quick, they always tell me how long my service will take and they ended up doing a great job with vehicles. They helped turn around a horrible situation I was in from using a different shop prior to them (a repair shop "certified" by my extended warranty insurance). It was a very overwhelming chaotic situation to say the least, but James Howard, the store GM, was very helpful and understanding (and patient as I was probably not the most pleasant given the stress and overwhelm and ridiculousness of the scenario I was in). Awesome first experience. Was looking for a new, honest and trustworthy auto service shop. Was referred to James Howard, GM, at Sun Auto in Sachse. James made a great impression on me and did not try to upsell me or suggest there were any serious issues that needed my attention; in fact, just the opposite. Indicated my auto was in great shape and needed only monitoring of one issue that could be followed up on at a future visit. I arrived at 8am on a Saturday for an appointment scheduled the day before; the service was efficient and the facility was large, clean and very professional with a great customer waiting area. James earned my repeat business and I highly recommend this service business.

If I could leave 1,000 stars I would. I am so grateful I switched things up from the normal place my family has always taken the car to and found Sun Auto in Sachse- primarily because of James and the beyond stellar service he (and the team) provided. Long story short- I had to come in 5 times to get my state inspection rechecked. Any time I called, the conversations were totally professional and kind. Every time I came in (for the same thing), James was so kind, knowledgeable, and helped me understand things. Several times I stayed in the waiting area for about an hour or less (spotless, cleaned, sanitary, awesome coffee/tea/water area, I brought my laptop to work). Each time, I only saw happy and satisfied customers come in and out. They spoke to everyone I witnessed with respect and were always professional. The always made me feel welcome. Sometimes as a solo female, going into any car environment can feel a little intimidating, and sometimes treatment isn’t as fair unfortunately. I never felt that once, and felt cared for and helped fully. They are fair and will go above and beyond to help you. I will definitely come to this location if I ever have anything that needs to be addressed with any car I have in the future!
