I bought new tires online and while most tire shops wouldn’t install them for me, these guys did with a smile. They also completed a detailed vehicle inspection and presented me with options for addressing some other maintenance items. Their pricing is fair and dealing with Gabriel and Joe has been a great experience. I forgot about this shop and haven’t been here for a while but I’m glad we came back. California Tire will be taking care of our vehicles from now on.

Excellent and speedy service. I got a flat tire on the freeway and was just passing through the area. Alfred and his team took great care of me. They put a spare tire on my flat and checked the rest of my tires for me and threw another spare on a second tire for safety. They were very quick and had the best customer service. 10/10 would recommend.

Edit 6/3/2025: went two weeks ago to get my tires rotated and saw that they are closed. Note taped to the door said thank you for 35 years of customer loyalty. They will be missed. I've been going to this shop for about 20 years. I appreciate an independent, locally owned business, but if the service and price aren't good, what's the point? The staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable, never pushy. Their prices on tires and shocks have always been very competitive - usually better than the big chains. They listen to what you want and offer choices in your price range along with the pros and cons of each based on their expertise. I've had them work on my family's cars as well as business vans. Thank you, California Tire.

I called several car tire companies in Thousand Oaks looking for a legitimate Black Friday sale for four Continental tires size 18. The best deal came from California Tires (now Star Automotive). After forty years of living in Thousand Oaks, they have never let me down when quoting me a price over the phone. In fact, over the years, if I had a flat tire or any issues with a tire, the owner always had one of his workers repair it without a charge. The waiting room was very inviting, clean, and comfortable. WiFi was available along with a coffee machine with Keurig coffee pods and water. The work was completed in a timely manner and very well done. I am appreciative of the thoroughness and professionalism of California Tires.
