My car broke down in Ann Arbor and every place that we called to help as we lived an hour plus away at the time would not tell us what to do. Car Doctor answered the phone and promptly explained exactly who to call and how to get it there. They were amazing and I’m so glad they helped. Even though there was nothing wrong with my car (just an operator error), they spent the time to go through everything they could think could be wrong! I highly recommend going here as they helped greatly, told me what happened to it and was super nice about it as well!

Lou's staff from front end to back in the shop is PHENOMENAL. They treated me with the utmost respect and were nothing short of honest and transparent the entire time. Even after I paid for a complete transmission rebuild and still had problems with my 2009 Equinox, they held onto my car until they were sure they had made it right - free of charge. I would recommend their services to anyone with transmission issues.

Love Lou’s. They are honest, reasonable and fast. You get to know them and you know you can trust. They aren’t trying to get you to add 20 additional services every time you go there. I have had my brakes done there, oil changes, and they fixed a piece on my transmission that only cost me a couple hundred dollars, instead of trying to get me to do a total fix for $1000s. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I want to start off by saying this man had EVERY opportunity in the world to take advantage of me, I walked in a frantic mess telling him I have no idea how cars work but I thought I needed my brake pads changed because of a squealing and that overall it was overdue for a service check. I dropped it off at 11:30, and I got a call about an hour later saying my car was actually in great shape & I was just due for an oil change! :) Turns out, something just needed to be cleaned under one of my brakes & that solved the problem entirely. He even put air in one of my tires and took off a broken rubber piece without charging me. I walked away from what I was expecting to be a $800+ day, with a smooth driving car and a simple oil change. Polite, quick, informative & professional. I'll recommend Car Doctor to everyone I know now, and this will be my go-to place for sure. He even let me know my back tires should be replaced soon and told me the cheapest places to go. Thank you guys!

I have not been a Lou's customer for long, but I have had only positive experiences so far. I've had my vehicle in twice for a coolant flush and some suspension work. Both times, Dan and his team were able to get me taken care of. Fees are reasonable and the customer service is good!

Took my Buick there with transmission problems They were very upfront, helpful. They've been there forever and had great reviews. And with good reason. They do quality work and know what they are doing. Will try other things before overhauling if they have a chance to fix it. In my case a Trans flush & cooler (Very reasonable price to do it and I wanted to have one anyway). Trans was OK for a while but went back to not shifting right. The did a complete overhaul and at less than I feared. What are you gonna do? You can't throw away the car... Other repair places offered to do it but if I was going to do it I wanted someone that did it every day. Very happy with them and glad they are here in town. Oh, I didn't know as a Veteran I got a discount but they saw my Military licence plate and gave it to me without asking. That's Honest!

This is hands-down the best mechanic I've been to. Lou's is a friendly small shop with great people. They take the time to explain the problem with the car, then go over the repair options so you know what they will do. They've always been fast and around average price, but the quality of work and the integrity of the people really set them a cut above. I will never take my car anywhere else .

I used to take a suv here years ago, they would “fix” something but never fix the problem. I was always returning within a week. When ask why I was there so much they said. “ I have to fix what it isn’t the problem, to find what it is.” I will never go here ever again. Years later and this place still screams scammers…

Had transmission issues getting into town. After picking up my wife from the hospital I called to see if they could give a quick check before our drive home. The guys were friendly and helped identity the issue. They resolved the problem and let me observe the solution. Helped in a pinch and didn't try to take advantage of our situation.
