Another great experience at Carmel Automotive. The new owner Jeff took great care of our car. We were originally quoted $4100 for numerous things that needed to be fixed. Jeff worked with us to prioritize work and helped us get to a more comfortable $3,097. We originally thought out wheel bearings needed to be replaced since a mechanic at a different shop told us that. After inspecting our vehicle we were told by Jeff that we did not need that and only needed a tire rotation. Could have charged us for something we didn’t need just to make more money but he didn’t. We brought in the car on a Friday. We were told by Saturday evening what the price and quote were and the car was fixed and ready to go by the following Thursday. The few times I called someone always answered and was always helpful. We live in El Mirage but we make the drive to North Phoenix for all of our cars to be serviced at Carmel. Great work, great prices, honest staff, and quick service. Not to mention the included 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty that comes with all of their service.

I have taken many cars here over the years. It was always fair and reasonable. The last time I was here was 2 months ago to see what was wrong with my AC because it was replaced here at Carmel 2 years ago (my visit 2 months ago they said I need Freon and it was fine again until 2 days ago) From what I have been told an AC compressor replacement should last longer than two years. I was quoted 1k to have them replace it again. I was a bit upset to have to fixed again but, I have had a good experience in the past so I had them work on it again. I prefer to have it fixed, new cars are so expensive these days..............and So they worked on it and only charged me for what was needed to fix AC. The cost was MUCH lower than 1k. I am very happy with their service. I defiantly recommend this shop. Like I said I have been going here for years and I have always had a great experience. :)

Took my 1993 F250 in to have a few things looked over. Jason called to go over everything and answered every question with patience, I got lucky cause he has a truck with the same engine so he really took his time out to help me. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest mechanics!

We had some poor experiences with another garage recently, and through a friend referral heard about Carmel. So I brought our family Tacoma over for service as a test. Watched their work carefully, and was very impressed with the quality of their work as well as their in-depth knowledge displayed when discussing with me afterward. So now we have had three of our four cars serviced here, and we are very happy with the high quality and professionalism of their work. We have found a reliable garage garage we can trust again. They know what they are doing, do it very well, and the pricing is competitive.

I’ve reviewed this place before BUT I feel an updated review is needed. I’ve been coming here since 2017 when the previous owner was operating and managing it. Previous owner was good! Since the new owner took over in 23/24 I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the customer service and love that they are back open on Saturdays!! Customer service is even better!! I had an emergency tire situation yesterday 7/30 and dropped my SUV off to have it checked and they gave me a quote to replace my tires and could do it within a day…BUT what’s even more amazing is that they were upfront and said to me “you will probably get a better price and warranty on tires if you go to a dedicated tire shop.” So that’s what I did. But I just love the business ethics and integrity they have…because they totally could have sold me tires with the basic warranty from the manufacturer. So I’ll definitely keep coming here for my mechanical needs.

Their customer service is great. Honest and good pricing. With all that said, I have a 01 f150 that they gave me a long list of what was wrong and that needed fixed. In the end they didn't know why it wasn't running bad for me because it was running perfect for them. They suggested that it was low fuel and didn't want to run in high rpms. It did run fine for about 3 days but as soon as it got really hot weather it wouldn't run hardly at all. Long story short the air intake rubber seal around the throttle body itself was tightened down too much and without the rubber actually under the clamp. I.e. a vacumn leak and when hot the rubber let more air directly in to the throttle housing which threw off the computers readings for O² & fuel mix. I don't understand how a mechanic could miss something so simple. A different mechanic fixed it and it took less than 5 min and didn't charge me anything nor was there a diagnostic needed. They heard the same exact explanation of what it was doing when it was running bad. I wish customer service is all you need to be a good shop. Sorry.

Honest and fair priced vehicle repair service shop (yes, they still exist, although rare). I have a 2010 FJ Cruiser that was maintained by the Toyota dealership until they started charging me "pink prices.... Carmel came highly recommended so I tried them first for a basic oil change. Then one day the cars engine light came on, so I dropped the vehicle off. They cane back with clear and fair pricing and I approved the repairs on the spot! 5* Customer Service. This is my NEW shop. I will be using them for my cmvehicles going forward and recommend.

Amazing place! My Tesla had battery draining and ac not working. They took me with no appointment and worked with my extended warranty to fix my car. Jeff was amazing, there to answer any questions and keep me in the loop. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
