New car purchase. Was able to reserve just the car I wanted and get it as soon as it arrived. Thanks.

Off to a bad start with new ownership. Called Subaru parts department at 10:00, left voicemail to call back. Called again at 12:10 and the lady says “ sorry parts closed at 12”.

Was able to call and get a walk-in service done at the end of their day on a Saturday. Of course they did a great job and ran it through the wash.

From Ed and Calvin in sales, through Noah in finance, the whole experience of getting our two new vehicles was great - We HIGHLY recommend Castle Autoplex in McHenry!!

Just bought a Subaru Impreza from George Z. He was great - answered all of my questions and streamlined the process as much as possible. If you're in the market for a Subaru ask for George Z..

My wife and I bought a used Subaru Impreza from George Z today. He was great - very friendly, not pushy and gave us helpful advice. If you're in the market for a car - go see George Z.

I wen to the service department in October 2022 for an oil change on my 2016 Legacy. I left one quart short of oil and with inspection paperwork filled out wrong by the Tech. I called and spoke with the service manager who apologized and said if I brought it back in they would make it right. I added a quart of oil on my own and problem solved. Needless to say I never got a complimentary oil change offer or anything other than a sorry. Poor customer service! I’ll take my business elsewhere next time.

I purchased a 2023 Kia Telluride from this dealership. I searched all over the midwest for the vehicle and trim level I wanted. Castle McHenry Auto Plex had more inventory than anyone else. Their salesmen were extremely kind and helpful. They even delivered my vehicle to me in another state! Vehicles are selling over MSRP, but I found Castle willing to negotiate, and they gave me more for my trade than anyone else had offered. My Salesmen were Bakari Nance and Mike Lazzara. I want to extend my thanks to them for helping me to find my vehicle. I love it!

Came in to browse for a new car and left not only with a new car but left very satisfied! I worked with Nate W. and he was by far the best salesman I have worked with. He was very understanding of what I wanted in a new car and very patient. Will always recommend Nate W. From now on!

Purchased a brand new 2023 Subaru Ascent Onyx Edition. The staff was amazing throughout the whole process. George Z, went above and beyond and explained everything fully. Ed was a great help showing me how to use all the bells and whistles.

Used to be top notch on the service reception and customer interface, but a real zero this time. NO one at the desk when I arrived. Waited 6 minutes or so, then asked the cashier where everybody was. She says "they should be there...", and didn't call for anyone. There were a few customer service guys chatting in a windowed office right where I was waiting. No eye contact, no notice... so I waited and waited. It was well more than 10 minutes before some service associates arrived. I had a few smaller work items, but for whatever reason, I couldn't get acknowledgement on getting the wheel hub edges sanded or buffed down to deal with perpetual slow leak in a tire. I also asked for a quote for a timing belt replacement. So none of that got into my service request. When they didn't find the leak, I asked again. Didn't get my timing belt quote either, asked again. Tire got done, still no quote. Had to hold the car again to get to the quote... The servicing period ran over three days. Seemed like I was asking, but they weren't listening.

Bad experience. Service is not great. But the front desk are extra weird. I was riding out a factory service plan with the dealer. First visit, the guy insults me because he assumed something political. It was just an oil change, not like the desk guy can screw it up, so I bite my tongue and laugh it off. Second visit, another guy tries to sell thousands of dollars of magic fluids in addition to my regular service. No thanks. Third visit, another guy refuses to honor my service plan. I don't even argue because I should have gone to another dealer. But without me asking, the guy fakes a call to his boss! He pretends to pick up the phone without pushing any buttons, and starts talking into it before lt reaches his ear. His imaginary boss knows all the details of my plan and my situation, and denies my service without having to pull up any records. Magic! The second tire rotation and balance was also way off. This can happen sometimes with a rotation but it should go away after some time - it never did. Third service put it back in a decent state. But they also don't follow manufacturer specifications on tires or lug nut torque. My tires are usually filled to 34psi (should be 33 and 32). And when I had to emergency fix a flat. I had to physically stand on the lug wrench to get the nut off. Should be a very easy 80ft-lbs. Seemed torqued way over. This is not cool. Could have sheared the bolt clean off. The showroom / waiting area also has really weird vibes. The two televisions are often set to religious programming and Fox News. I don't know if it's the old people in the area or what. But given the scammers in the office you can only assume it's "those types". Kind of people who ask what church you go to then loudly laugh about scamming the last customer.
