After our car broke down it was towed to the automotive shop. They greeted us very friendly and had no issues with addressing our car right away. They diagnosed and fixed it within a day of it arriving there. This place is poorly ran… they say they’re “Christian” but they do their best at making you pay more than you should with their labor pricing. I came here to get my car fixed and 10 months later the exact same thing happened to my vehicle.. they used their “nice warranty” for their previous mess up to repair what they previously did “free” then charged me for a oil leak and made up for their price by charging me $800 in just labor. So I had my car towed to the Christian Brothers to have the the transmission looked at and since it was there I figured I would have the oil and air filter changed. I am also mindful that my truck has a ton of miles but it is paid off. And we will drive it into the ground as it is used as a teenagers truck. I told Christian Brothers I only wanted the transmission looked at and oil change. So I got the repair costs quote back and 24k later in a quote. And then a phone call before I had the chance to review the quote. Pushing the new transmission on me before even doing the tests. On the phone I asked just for the flush and if they found metal in the flush. But was told yeah we should run a couple of tests. There tests were dropping the pan and looking for metal shavings and two hours of labor. And this cost me 700 dollars and then they charges me 200 for the advance testing on the transmission. I questioned why the advance testing if they find metal shavings. Here is the kicker my service writer calls me and says I owe 1800 based on what I approved without even looking at what had been done. As they stopped work on the truck when they found metal shavings. They quoted me a new 10k with labor on a new transmission. Huge shock factor so I called around and they same transmission right down the street from them was the same transmission for 5k with labor. I talked to the owner and don’t let him tell you he is not in it for the money as that is not the impression I get from him or his service writers. So if you like over pay and be dragged over the coals and up charged like a car dealership go see them they are more than happy to take you money from you★☆☆☆☆ a week ago
