This is my go to place for any car repairs. I’m not really familiar with anything car related but they break it down for me and it makes it easy to trust what the are doing. Last experience I had- I purchased new headlights and wanted them to change out the current ones in place but they were able to restore the original ones which saved me money!

These guys were so professional. They diagnosed my car issue and got it fixed before lunch. They didn't try to overcharge me or give me some bogus diagnosis. They are good, honest mechanics.

This place is the best repair shop I've ever been to. I won't go anywhere or let anybody else service my vehicle. Started with an oil change and has turned into anything from tune ups to a bad alternator. Love these guys.

Chuy did a wonderful job fixing my car, I definitely recommend his business! I’d been back and forth to another shop that couldn’t resolve the issue that my car had been having for an extended period of time. But then I received a recommendation for Chuy elsewhere, contacted him after getting his info, and was able to bring my car in for an appointment within a reasonable period of time. Chuy was able to identify the problem within a relatively short period of time of my car being at his shop, which I was very impressed and pleased with given my prior experience elsewhere. He explained things very well to me, gave me updates on progress, and was very upfront on his pricing. I’m very grateful that he was able to resolve the issue for me!

This review is long overdue. I've been coming to Chuy's Auto Repair since the early 2010s, back when I first met Chuy Sr. and later his son, Jesus, who now runs the shop. Over the years they've worked on several of my cars — mostly older cash cars that I buy with the hope of squeezing out a few more years with low‑cost repairs. Through all of that, one thing has stayed consistent: this shop is honest, transparent, and genuinely looking out for the customer. What sets Jesus apart from most mechanics is how open he is about pricing and parts. He'll pull up his sources right in front of you, show you the options, explain the pros and cons, and let you decide what makes sense. There’s never any pressure, never any mystery, and never any surprise charges. Over the years he's handled everything from routine maintenance to more complicated issues on my various older cars, and he always takes the time to explain things in plain language. His pricing has consistently been fair, and in more than a decade of going here I've never once felt upsold or pressured into unnecessary repairs. Communication is straightforward, and even when the shop is busy he makes sure I understand what's going on and what my options are. He also has something I wish more mechanics had: a built‑in fiduciary instinct. If a repair is expensive, uncertain, or something that can safely wait, he'll tell you straight. There have been times when he’s nudged me toward selling a car rather than sinking money into repairs that wouldn't give a meaningful return. That kind of honesty is rare, and it’s exactly why I keep coming back. Because of that reputation, the shop stays extremely busy. These days you should expect a waiting list — and honestly, that says everything. Customers like me are willing to wait rather than gamble on a random mechanic. If it's a true emergency, he'll try to work you in, but even then it may take a few days before the car gets on the lift. That’s just the reality of a shop everyone trusts. There have been times when the initial work needed a little extra attention, and Jesus always steps in to make sure everything is correct. That follow‑through is what sets him apart. As someone who works in a technical field myself, I understand that loop all too well — delegating work only to step in later to fine‑tune things. It’s not a flaw in his character; it’s the cost of caring about quality. After knowing him for so many years, I consider Jesus more than just a mechanic. At minimum he's a close acquaintance, and honestly, he feels like a friend. He's earned that trust through years of honesty, consistency, and looking out for my best interest — even when that meant advising me not to spend money with him. If you want a shop that’s transparent, fair, and genuinely invested in doing right by people, this is the place. Just be prepared to wait — good work attracts a crowd.
