Classic Auto Repair Service is absolutely wonderful! They provide quality service for any needs, whether it's just when getting my car inspected, or if I have an expensive streetrod being worked on. Could not be happier that we found this place! my partner found this mechanic after a different mechanic started yanking our chain with $1800 tune ups when we went for an inspection... Needless to say classic car auto gives you a thorough but fair deal. They tell you everything your car has going on and how urgent it is to fix, but doesn't give the wrong impression about expense. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

I had an incredible experience with Classic Auto Repair Service. My Jeep had stopped working on me in the middle of Powhite which was terrifying and obviously stressful. My Jeep was under warranty and I had to use one of their preferred vendors. I wasn't at all familiar with CARS, but I am now! My Jeep was towed to their shop around 5pm that day and they were very communicative to let me know when it had gotten their safely. They got to it the very next morning and were able to quickly diagnose the issue and stayed in contact. Since I had been an anxious wreck, they made it so much easier! Unrelated to the reason the Jeep stopped working, there had been a strange noise from the driver's side wheel that I had been dealing with for months. I'd had four different mechanics take a look and they always swore nothing was wrong and dismissed it as "well your Jeep is just old and loud"...it's only a 2016 but whatever. Classic Auto Repair found what was making that sound immediately and fixed it - now it runs like a dream. As for the warranty, they took care of all of the logistics behind getting that processed. I didn't have to make a single phone call or dig up any paperwork or fight with the warranty company. CARS made the whole process completely effortless. So very thankful to have had my car in their care!

I have known the nice folks at Classic Auto Repair for well over a year now and had my classic car in for various oroblems over this time . Kathleen, the shop’s owner/operator is friendly, helpful, attentive and understands the love that only classic car owners have for their vehicles . She works hard to insure a pleasant experience..She has a great team working with her. Chuck, the shop’s lead mechanic is the nicest, most down to earth person you’d ever meet. He brings many years of knowledge, experience and skill to the table as first the shop’s previous owner/operator and now it’s mechanical specialist. He is an expert in his trade. Talking with him and seeing all the beautiful cars he has worked on , I am convinced that there is absolutely no problem he can’t tackle and has not had experience with at some time in his long career. I discovered them through Repair Pal for my CarMax warranty and they have been the absolute best! They do great work and always get it done in a timely manner! I had an issue once and CarMax wouldn’t honor my battery warranty, I called Kathleen and she personally took my battery up there to CarMax and worked everything out for me. I have been taking both my cars here for years. It's a small non-franchise shop and they remember who you are. I have had them fix things that other auto shops could not and I've had them tell me I do not need expensive services that other shops have said are "emergencies". I most recently had them check a new vehicle purchase from carmax (everything checked out great) but I feel a lot better knowing I did not buy a lemon. Excellent! Classic Auto Repair is exactly the way I started this review out with, Excellent! I have used several different mechanics from local independently owned shops to dealerships and it is hard to find a trustworthy company. I can't tell you how many times I was told by the dealership, that I would need all these unwarranted repairs just so they can make money off me. Last year I was using a very reputable place in Midlothian that was nice but never really fixed the problems with my car. They constantly told me my car was old and with age, just like with people, some of these problems are just going to be there. Well first of all I am Chiropractor/Nutritionist and I tell patients that is just an excuse to blame old age. And Classic Auto has the same philosophy as I do. They fixed my car without any excuses of age and got it running in great condition. In fact I debated using it as a donation, based on the other mechanics that told me my car would always have problems and wasn't worth investing in. Well after Classic Auto repaired it, my car is not only running but will be used as a full functioning second vehicle for my family. Finding a trustworthy mechanic is important to do, so I urge you before you take your car to any other place- go here first! You won't regret it!!! I will end this review exactly how I started it, they are Excellent!

Great people at this shop! Mechanics you can trust to give you honest advice on what to do for your vehicle. Kathleen is very understanding and always willing to help. Highly recommend the GDI fuel cleaning service! Didn’t even know what that service was before they explained to me how it would help and it fixed a few things I had been noticing with my car. Got a trip check done before a huge road trip and car ran great there and back.

I came to CARS on a recommendation from another local shop that was top busy to handle my request. I'm thankful for their recommendation. Kathleen and Charles were excellent with communication and very accomodating, and I felt the pricing was very reasonable. It's very difficult to find people that care in the current climate of business in the country, and CARS is the epitome of quality over quantity. While I hope I don't need auto repair again soon, I will be returning in the future for preventative maintenance and as needed maintenance without hesitation.

I recommend Classic Auto. When I moved to the Richmond area 2 years ago I was having difficulty finding a reliable, professional, and consistent shop to bring my car to. The owner Kathleen has always been pleasant to work with and is always trying to take care of the customer. I called the shop one day asking for a referral and with no hesitation or anything in exchange she was able to recommend another reputable shop to help me out with a cracked rim.
