This was my second visit to these guys. The first time I test drove a different car. Came back 6 months later to test drive a Leaf this time.
The first issue was I could even test drive the car except by driving around the dealership parking lot. I think because there was no dealer tag. hard to test drive a car when you keep stopping every five seconds. They had really good incentives on the leaf, but we just couldn’t agree on the price. That’s life.
The big problem I don’t like about this dealership is that they tried to push the clay Cooley three year $1495 plan that covers cosmetic stuff like debtless repair and paint chips, and other stuff that I did not want to pay for. They also have a Connected Car package that cost $995. They give you great incentives at least on this car, but then they expect you to pay for these two plans. They were typical dealership add-on fees.
The only bright spot about my visit was the amazing customer advisor (J. Armstrong) that I worked with. Without even asking he hooked my kids up with a coloring book which kept them occupied so I could talk numbers with him. He was straightforward and to the point.
At the end of the day the only real issue was the junk add-on fees. It seems that if they offer all these incentives to lower the price off of MSRP, they expect you to pay for their extra fees. For me that’s bueno.
