I contacted Clayton Auto because my minivan's TPMS alert came on, despite the tires all being properly inflated. I'd had this happen a year and a half prior and Midas fixed it, but I stopped taking my car there after they tried to fleece me saying I needed new struts when my car was literally at 50,050 miles. Needless to say, that was not true. I first contacted Clayton Auto towards the 10th of September, but there were some delays on my end because Wal-Mart's oil change techs had apparently used an impact wrench on my security lug nut key, so I had to get that replaced at the dealership before John and his guys could really get in there and see what was going on. That happened right around the beginning of October. According to John, he would have to order the needed part from Toyota directly, and he said it could take a moment to get it in. He said he would give me a call when it arrived, but in the meantime I could come get my van and we would just settle up once everything was done. That was fine by me, so I picked up the van and ignored the light for a while. Finally, after not hearing from him for a few weeks, I called up there and left a message for him. He apologized profusely when he called back, saying that he'd dropped the ball and forgot to put the order in. Fair enough - everyone gets busy, after all. He said he would call me later that day (I think this was Oct 29th according to my phone's call history), but I told him that a text message would be fine. I didn't get either, but assumed the part had been ordered. Fast forward to this last Tuesday (11/12), I called up there to see if whatever my van needed was in. John wasn't in, but I was told that they had everything needed and I could bring my van by whenever. I asked how involved of a fix this was and was told that it would only take a few hours. I brought it in Thursday (11/14) evening and heard back on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, the news wasn't so great. Despite the tech's best efforts, they could not get the TPMS alert light to turn off. They tried changing all four sensors and hooked up some kind of programming / diagnostic tool, but came to the conclusion that the issue was something they could not fix. Ultimately, I was told I would have to take the car to the dealer to get the problem resolved, but the part could cost upwards of $600 new, plus who-knows-what for labor and everything else. I think I'll just check my tire pressure manually every month or so and ignore the light, honestly. Now I get that modern cars are pretty complex beasts, and I understand that a mechanic can't just eat the whole expense when they've invested parts and time into a vehicle that they just can't fix. My issues are A) I am almost certain John told me weeks ago that it was the main sensor that was the problem, hence the need to order a part he wouldn't normally have in stock. That and, B) While I was charged a fraction of what replacing 4 TPMS sensors would normally cost, I'm still pretty unhappy that I had to pay $140.57 to be told that I'll have to take the car to the dealership if I want it fixed. Yeah, I have 4 new sensors, but if the whole system is malfunctioning then what good is that? If this was my only interaction with Clayton Auto then I'd be giving them a 1 star, but in all fairness to John and his crew, they've been extremely honest and square with me during previous incidents. If it weren't for my wife's insistence that I never take a vehicle there again, I probably would for things like brakes and other purely mechanical problem. For anything that might run into a computer issue? You may want to just head to the dealership and save yourself some time... and maybe some money, ultimately.

They went out of their way to air up the tires on my dump truck. The steel wheels and high pressure stems make it very difficult to get an airchuck on the rear dually wheels. None of the parts stores had the chuck and no other shop in the area would entertain the idea of airing up the tires or simply didn't have the chuck either. This shop got it done for me on the spot even with the mechanic laying on the ground and wrapping his arms around the tires. I was on a job and they really came through for me. I appreciate it fellas! Jonathan, Wilson Hauling & Transportation

My name is Shawn Meriwether a friend of mine recommended Clayton Auto Service. Could not have made a better choice my friend knows the owner that I have worked with for 27 Years . He told the owner how I did missions work in other countries for that last 10 years. And that I am always helping people. And they wanted to do something foe me, so they repaired my Air conditioner for free. If I were you I would take my car here.

Horrible experience. Still haven't got my vehicle back from them after a year. Now they keep the shop closed and don't answer the phone. I'll be getting a lawyer on this. Don't recommend the place unless you DON'T want to drive.

Quick service, fair price for part markup and labor. Very pleasant employees. I would recommend going here over the big brand auto repair shops. Your not being charged for outrageous overhead charges for corporate leadership. Remember big corporate shops markup parts by 100% or more to cover their overpaid sales staff.

Had my car in for a replacement antenae, took (11)mos. Took my fender off and lost the inner, fender was not put back correctly drove home with fender hanging on with machine bolts, scratches were all over fender resulting in $1500 in damages they refused to repair it had to turn it in to insurance witch cost me $9000to paint whole car... O found later both rear tail lights were broken. If you love your car don't take it there! You will regret it!!

I recently had the pleasure of using this car service for a Mercedes GLE spark plugs change and coil replacement, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. From start to finish, the experience was top-notch and truly exceeded my expectations. To top it all off, the pricing was fair and transparent. There were no hidden fees or surprises, and I felt that I received excellent value for the level of service provided. I highly recommend this car service to anyone. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set them apart. I will definitely be returning for any future automotive needs. Keep up the fantastic work!

They worked with me and my brother who paid for my repairs from another state. I had the clutch done, and now it feels like and drives like a new car! I am happy with their work. Very responsive to questions as well. I plan on taking my truck there when I have the chance.

I came in with a broken bolt that many shops would have told me to kick rocks if I asked if they will fix it. This shop was quick to fix it and with a reasonable price. Ricardo, one of the guys that work there, is very knowledgeable and can come up with solutions that only experience gives. This will be my local shop from now on.

They did a great job restoring the headlights! The lights are now clear and bright. They also do great work on auto repair at a fair price. If you need to get your car fixed, I highly recommend Urban Auto Repairs.

This place ruined my BMW. I went to them with my own set of brand new coilover shocks and they assured me they knew how to install them. The first time they threw away vital parts because they didn't know what those parts were for or how they were installed. I took another day off work to take it back a second time for them to supposedly fix it properly. Since the install I had both rear tires blow out at the same time on I-75 on Thanksgiving night due to incorrect camber adjustments. The shop that just fixed that issue let me know that the shocks, which are 2 months old, are already bad due to incorrect installation and all need to be replaced and that my car was not save to drive. I could have been killed!! Now I have to dump thousands of dollars into fixing it correctly on top of the money already spent paying this place to destroy my car and other shop I just paid for 2 new tires and repairs. Beware!!!!

I had my truck’s transmission replaced here, and I couldn’t be happier. They got the job done in less than a week and at a much more affordable price compared to other shops that were asking for huge money and long wait times. The team was super nice, communicated well throughout the process, and really knows their work. On top of that, they even gave me a free oil change and fixed my A/C just to help me out with the pricing. Truly great service—thank you guys! Highly recommend. They are live savers for me 🙌🏼♥️✨
