These guys will not do unnecessary work and are careful to advise a time frame on pending work that is not quite ready but on deck. I've lived in the area for 35 years and have just recently started taking my cars to this shop. I'm so glad I found these guys. The first visit was for a missing lug nut, which they replaced for FREE after I purchased the part at Lexus. I have been very satisfied with every service here. I have a 2008 ML 350 with 100K + miles on it. I bring it in every 5K miles or so for an oil change and check up. The team does great work and always gets ahead of any needed repairs before it becomes a bigger problem. I love working with them and highly reccommend them for any Mercedes owners.

Highly recommended! Just used Coastal Foreign Auto Services for the first time yesterday for rear brakes, an oil change, and new cabin filters, and they were great! I can't afford dealership prices although I wish I could so I had to suck it up and use yelp and Google to find coastal foreign auto and they said I could bring my car right in, they called me within two hours with an estimate that was fair 1001 dollars for front and back rotars and brakes and oil change. I picked it up before the end of the afternoon and everything is so far so good! Thank you!

I've been using these guys for years, three cars worth. They have great labor rates and they don't try to add any unnecessary work. They also do the work needed more quickly which lowers the cost of labor. They also markup the price of parts delivered to them at a lower percentage rate than other places resulting in lower costs. I have all my work done there except oil changes be I do those my. I've never had a problem with them and have never had to bring any of my vehicles back due to shoddy work. I highly, highly recommend Pete and Mark at Coastal Foreign Auto in Encinitas.

Peter and Chris are honest and great trustworthy mechanics. The Acura dealership told me my AC compressor was dead and it would cost over $2,000. I was recommended to go to Coastal Foreign Auto Service and so glad I did, as they fixed my AC by just adding freon gas for $40. Highly recommend them.

My neighbor recommended Chis and Peter at Coastal Foreign Auto over at least 8 years ago and I'm so glad she did. They always quickly got right to the problem with my car and fixed it in a timely manner. I never felt like they were doing any more work than necessary and were fair and honest. Their excellent work helped take my 2006 Acura MDX to beyond 300,000 miles! Then when things started to wear and I had bigger engine trouble, again they were honest and told me the repairs were not worth it and saved me a boat load of unnecessary expenses. They recommended I say good by to the car and even though they had taken the time to do the diagnostics, and a couple of days prior had changed the car oil, they didn't even charge me for either of these last services! Wow! Honest, Fair, and the Best in the business! I highly recommend Coastal Foreign Auto!

I've been taking my cars to Coastal Foreign Auto for well over a decade. I live in Valley Center and I drive 45 minutes to get my cars to Coastal Foreign because I can trust Chris and Peter. They do outstanding work, at a fair price, and they don't pressure me to do additional work that isn't immediately needed. They will let me know if they find any other problems with the car and whether or not they need immediate attention or can safely wait until a future date. I don't feel pressured and I don't feel like they are trying to upsell me. On more than one occasion they have fixed quick minor issues and not charged me a dime, because it only took 10 minutes. Who does that anymore? Chris and Peter are honest, and I trust them, and that to me, is worth its weight in gold.
