This was my third service visit with California Autohaus in Encinitas. Kristin was completely professional today in explaining the service I would receive and gave me very good pricing. I felt completely safe and well taken care of leaving my 2013 Mini Cooper in their hands. When I picked up my car, Andrey, brought my keys to me in the office. He took his time to explain what he did and the condition of my car. I immediately realized how knowledgeable he was about BMW-based Mini Coopers. Very impressive. I highly recommend California Autohaus on Encinitas Blvd in Encinitas. I trust them.

I brought my car in for an intermittent calibration warning. I was quoted $590 to recalibrate. Two days and phone calls between me and "service" manager Todd, yielding him telling me they needed an additional $420 to "diagnose" the calibration warning. In between, they wrote up an issue with my "battery" being low. When I denied further "inspection" and picked the car up, it now had a "new" constant warning light that was "e-diff not available". The first two reasons these faults occur are a spike in voltage and low battery voltage. When I got home, I charged the battery and hard-set my car. Problem "fixed". Julio/Todd and the mechanic deceitfully tried to "milk" more money from this repair. The mechanic even "lied", stating he "hard reset the car". The car requires a pin after reset. I am the only one with the code, so I know in fact they did not. Liars, Cheaters, and I even gave them an opportunity to make things right. They choose not to. As a longtime community staple, I am advising everyone I know to avoid this place.

Took my car in to be serviced with low expectations after several unsuccessful attempts were made with a few other local shops. Had two, separate, hard to diagnose issues presenting for months. From the initial call… to check in, progress updates, completion, and billing… these guys are awesome. Fixed both issues at a reasonable cost with great service. One thing that especially struck me was their proactive attitude to not only accept challenges but look forward to succeeding where other shops fail. Highly recommended.

When I came limping in, fluids were pouring out, lights were going off, different codes were being thrown... I was a mess. California Autohaus found I was leaking coolant and animals had chewed up the wires on my belly. They quickly replaced the leaking water pump and meticulously traced down each and every shorted and nipped wire. After going through that I needed a vacation, so I packed up my hobbits and I took them to the top of Cali to see the redwoods, I got to check Headwaters and Tall Trees off my bucket list. Seriously, California Autohaus took great care of me and my vehicle, keeping me informed at every step and being understanding, friendly... just great dealing with them. Then the price was what I expected they do quality work, take pride in their work at a good value. I'll always take my vehicles here for minor or major repairs. Thank you Kristin, John, Andrea and the gang. I think a 2,000 mile test drive proves you fixed everything right. If you want your car fixed properly with care you should go to California Autohaus. I took my 23-year-old neglected Lexus in based on my son-in-law’s recommendation. If Todd and the boys were good enough for his BMW, maybe they could rescue my baby. Turns out she needed everything, so she had a long, but pleasant, week on the rack. Both the Lexus and I were treated very well and will definitely return for future service.

Correct diagnosis. Completed job and came in 500 dollars under estimate. Showed me honesty as they could have charged me the estimated amount and I would still been happy. Would have given 5 stars but took an extra day to get mercedes part and overlooked putting back insulation. Another good note was I got a loaner for 2 days. Had a ball driving an ear. Highly recommend dealing with Julio at CA AUTOHAAS.

This is a great alternative to use the car dealer. They are more communicative, cheaper and do a great job. I had to leave the car overnight and not only the offer me a ride home but also picked me up once the car was ready. They focused on the current issue with the car, an even though they made recommendations on other areas that may soon require attention, they didn’t try to over sale their services. Honest, good quality of service and very polite. Definitely they will use them in the future for my car needs

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an outstanding experience with Craig at California Autohaus. His professionalism, honesty, and willingness to go above and beyond truly stood out. My vehicle had to be towed, and Craig carefully inspected it and discovered that the issue was actually caused by a brand-new upper control arm that had recently been installed by a previous mechanic. What impressed me the most is that Craig didn’t just identify the problem — he actually called the previous shop himself to explain what Autohaus found so they could address it properly under warranty. Autohaus also provided video transparency of the inspection, which gave me peace of mind and showed exactly what was happening with my vehicle. Craig even offered to drive me to my rental car, and although it was outside their service range, the gesture alone shows the level of customer care he provides. He also helped coordinate with the tow truck driver who came to pick up my vehicle. Because Craig took the time to clearly identify the issue and communicate with the previous mechanic, my repair is now being handled under warranty, which I truly appreciate. Service like this is rare. Craig was knowledgeable, transparent, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire process.
