The people running the service department are approachable and helpful. However, when we brought our vehicle in for routine maintenance we were informed that our tires were out of alignment and that they strongly recommend they let us take care of it while we were there. We opted out of the alignment service as we would have liked to have it done elsewhere. After going to another location to get the alignment taken care of, the mechanic informed us that they ran the evaluation for alignment three different times and could not find and issue anywhere on the vehicle that indicated it was out of alignment. I understand that even in the service side of the industry sales are still pushed, but please be transparent with clients about what is and is not wrong with their vehicle instead of trying to coax people into services or maintenance that is absolutely unnecessary. Please be weary of what you are told and never be afraid to get a second opinion before making an informed decision.

I bought my Kia Soul at Coastal Kia in 2017. Their sales, service and customer service are the gold standard in the industry. The service consultant Sam Weisman treats me with such respect and kindness. He's also outstanding at helping me understand what service my car needs to keep it running at top performance. By the way, Sam, this is Maggie Stewart with the 2017 green Kia. I recently moved pretty far from Coastal Kia, but they're worth the drive and I would never go anywhere else. I'd like to give a shout out to Pat Koballa for the wonderful work he does for animals.

Had car serviced Monday, was greeted by Sam very quickly. He was very professional, provided time frame for service and offered me shuttle ride if needed. Marquita then provided me updates on my vehicle and like Sam, she was very professional. She provided me an update on everything completed on the car and also provide suggested additional service and pricing on brakes. The pricing was good so I will be taking my vehicle back for this service along with yearly inspection

Excellent Customer Service! I have been taking our KIA to Coastal Kia for service since moving into this area two years ago, and the service I received today was absolutely the best! Marquita was thoroughly polite, professional, and completely focused on providing me the best customer service possible. She attended to all aspects of this service visit, and ensured all my concerns were properly addressed. From greeting me upon arrival, to keeping me informed throughout the wait, to explaining every aspect of the maintenance conducted, and even escorting me back to my car, Marquita made me feel that I was her most important customer. I fervently hope I am fortunate enough to have Marquita as my Service Agent from now on!

They are always super friendly! Previous dealerships/mechanics can make you feel intimidated or be too pushy. Since the day I bought my car from Coastal Kia, everyone here from sales, finance, to maintenance as made me feel like I am a valued customer. Absolutely great experience, took care of what I needed done and worked in a pm service last minute that I asked to have done, although I didn't not buy my Stinger from this dealership, this dealership will be my home for services through out my ownership of this car. We just bought my wife’s dream car, a Telluride from Coastal Kia. I work for a major airline and have the ability to fly anywhere in the US to find a good deal at a dealership, but I choose to buy from Coastal Kia! We have purchased 3 cars from them in the past 6 years. Everyone at the dealership has amazing attitudes and pays close attention to the buyer’s desire. The customer service is exceptional and you will be well educated on the vehicle you are purchasing. Our last vehicle was a Sorrento, which we just traded for a Telluride. I cannot say enough positive things about the Sorrento, it is a solid car but most importantly it is a safe car! We knew when our teenagers were driving it they were in good hands. The Telluride only goes up from there! During this latest purchase we had the pleasure of working with Kendrick and Bryce. They not only made the sale seamless, but more importantly educated us on everything we needed to know about the vehicle. Go see Bryce if you need a car. He’ll set you up! During our time at the dealership, we observed everyone working was very friendly and professional. Pat Koballa, the owner, was present on the floor and approachable. From the top down, everyone was focused on the customer. This dealership truly cares about their customer’s experience and it truly shows. You can buy with confidence at Coastal Kia. After buying 3 cars from this dealership, I can say without hesitation the level of trust, professionalism, educated salesmen, and value is unmatched. I don’t normally write reviews, but this is one I can honestly stand behind 100%

Just bought my 3rd Kia (2023 Forte GT-Line) from Coastal Kia. Once again, Kelvin Swinson did a bang up job. I told him what me and my family were looking for, and that's what he showed us. No pressure, no trying to upsell us. He showed us the different options in what we wanted and let us make our own decision. I appreciate that more than you can imagine. Everyone there from sales to service to finance does a really great job. I'll never go elsewhere again. Hitting the gong was pretty cool too. 😜

I have been a loyal customer of Coastal Kia in Wilmington for many years. The service department is excellent. I want to give special recognition to Sam Weisman, who is a service consultant. He has been especially accommodating when I needed a service appointment. He is always respectful, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about service requirements for my 2016 Kia Sorrento. He always provides excellent advice on maintenance issues and is always honest in his recommendations for service. It is very reassuring when a customer can trust someone who has your best interest in mind. He always makes my visit very pleasurable and comfortable. If I need to wait for my vehicle to be serviced, there is a very nice waiting area provided with Wi-Fi access, charging station, snacks, and comfortable seating. Sam always keeps me informed about the progress on my vehicle. This always makes my visit very pleasant. I am not appreciating the new Coastal KIA, Service, AI system to schedule a service appointment. Alex, robot, may initially seem like you are connected to a person. However, several attempts to provide information were not recognized. After being routed back, I was connected with Sam in the service department. Thank you Sam for your efficiency.

As my 2016 Sorento approached100k miles, it began to lose power and shifted gears to maintain speed. The service advisor, Brian Benson, patiently listened to my concerns and, after the car was examined, gave me a quotation for replacing the turbo. I returned to get the work done and Brian asked if I was the original owner, which I am. He advised that the car qualified for warranty coverage for the repairs. The dealership was able to provide a rental car while the car was being repaired. He advised that this cost would also be covered under the warranty. His level of integrity and caring are very much appreciated.
