Was recommended this place for alignment by the discount tire place down the street. Small, no frills place with 3 work bays. There's one couch inside to sit and you can actually see (and talk) to the mechanics directly. My car was due for an oil change and they did that too. $107 for 4-wheel alignment plus oil change for a Honda Accord - can't get better than this!

I came to the shop wanting to get an alignment, but I also knew I needed new wheel bearings. What I didn't know was that there was no point in getting an alignment until i fixed the wheel bearings. When I showed up to the shop I told Carlos I wanted an alignment done but he surprisingly told me that it wasn't in my best interest to get one until I fixed the wheel bearings. Since I didn't have time to get them done, I left. Most other shops would have done the alignment, taken my money, and not cared about how I would have to redo the alignment again right after I fixed my wheel bearings. Carlos was honest and did not try to pull a fast one on me. I called him a few days later and asked if he would fix the wheel bearings and do an alignment afterwards. His crew did a great job. But most importantly he did it for such a good price. I called different independent shops and mainstream shops, such as pep boys, and everyone else's prices where much higher. This is the shop to go to. Its small but it's ran by someone who's honest and gives you the best prices out there. It's no surprise why he has such good reviews!

This shop is one of the most thorough around to have brakes replaced or alignment issues evaluated. Carlos has been here many years and seems to be the manager. He does quality work very well and has some workers very dedicated to their job. Carlos goes all out for his customer also his prices are much less than the dealer. I rate this shop as a 5 star business and will return.

I've been going there for appx 10 yrs with 4 different cars, mainly for suspension and alignment issues, but I know they can do other work as well. Carlos has always treated us fairly and quickly, and provides great service. Highly recommend.

I very recently moved to the area afrom out of state and was experiencing brake issues shortly after arriving. I did a little research and came upon Carlos and Costa Mesa Brakes. I took my car in, they explained the issue and solution. Initially, I was not happy, though the grinding of the pads was fixed, there was a random "grab and release" often when braking or taking my foot off the brake. Carlos said to bring it in. At first the techs did not hear the noise but it persisted. A few weeks later I then drove with Carlos in the car and he said he would replace the back pads with factory equipment, which he did. Issue still persisted and so he then replaced the front pads.....problem solved, no additional cost and as Carlos said, "I just want you to be happy"! His commitment to my satisfaction, as picky as I might be, won me over and I am a very happy customer and will always recommend Costa Mesa Brakes based on my experience and their commitment to my satisfaction! I previously gave Mr. Carlos a 5-star rating for how he went above and beyond to provide me with exceptional service. Later, I met with Mr. Carlos again, seeking a second opinion on struts. Once again, I was impressed by his honesty and integrity. He assured me I did not need this repair, contrary to what my regular mechanic had stated! Mr. Carlos mentioned that it would waste my time and over $1,000. When I saw him for a third time, he noticed something I was unaware of. Although he cannot fix the issue, he is searching for one of his local contacts to handle my car. Wow; that truly goes above and beyond! Furthermore, when I left my car for this inspection, he asked his son to give me a ride to work!

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Costa Mesa Brakes and Tires was so good I felt had too. I am new to the area and was looking for a new place to work on my Lexus IS250 F Sport. I needed no brakes and rotors on the front and the rear. Carlos and Junior provided me with a great service. I was able to make an appointment same day and the vehicle was ready within a few hours. The price they quoted me was better than the prices I received from 4 other auto shops. This will be my go to place for brakes and tires moving forward.
