TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. If I could give negative stars I would. We have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this establishment. I have NEVER had such a tooth and hair pulling experience. The first time we dropped off the vehicle apparently “all it needed” was a fuel pump and air filter. We pick the vehicle up and it messed up within 6 MINUTES of leaving the place. Was told “maybe just go get some gas??” which it had plenty of and that “well we test drove it.” Test drove it where? Around the parking lot?? I couldn’t go over 20 mph with a transmission full of water. If the vehicle had been inspected how was this not caught the first time? I had to pull off in congested traffic and *WE* paid to have it towed AGAIN to this place. We picked it up again today and now the fuel sensor is broken and the check engine light is on. The mechanic went out and started the car for us so he could well see the lights on the dash. No one said anything, no one even mentioned the gas light or the gauge even though it’s clearly visible and was sitting BELOW E when the vehicle is started. I rushed to the gas station because I was afraid I was going to run out of gas just to find out now my fuel sensor is busted. (which was working fine after the fuel pump repair.) We called once at home to let them know about the gas sensor & check engine light. The CSR was extremely rude to us. She even hung up on us. Any customer would be upset that TWICE we have had issues after picking up our car. NEVER AGAIN!!!

If I could give 100 stars I would!!! Bobbie has been amazingly helpful throughout the entire process, she even sent me reference to a cheap tow company. She explained everything thoroughly, very reasonable pricing, I for once don't feel like I'm being ripped off as a female in the car industry! Awesome job. Great customer service 👏

If you are searching for a mechanic..... STOP LOOKING! Crains automotive is the place to go. Not only are they excellent mechanics, they are extremely considerate. I needed brakes and exhaust manifold bolts replaced. Prestine workmanship and exceptional service. The last mechanic I will look for, and always use for ANY service(s).

Incredibly rude staff. Fought on the phone with both the extremely UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE secretary and even the boss. They accuse you of accusing them if you have any new issues with your vehicle and then promptly hang up. A guilty conscious maybe? Who knows. All I know is that we wouldn't trust them with a Fisher Price tricycle. Be sure to read *ALL* the reviews before you take your car to this business folks.

Crain’s automotive is a top notch mechanic shop. Called about getting my brakes looked at and they had me in the shop within a day and my vehicle back to me within 3 days (which they told me at time of drop off they would probably have to keep it a couple days) with fresh brakes. Never had a bad experience with this shop.

I don’t know of any people that could be more honest, more kind or, have any higher integrity than the folks at Crain’s. The shop area is so clean, you can eat off the floor. I drove 40 miles one way for an oil change just because it’s simply a pleasure. I don’t know how to recommend these folks any higher.

I’ve personally known Tony Kennedy for over 30 years and he’s always taken great care of my cars. I know that’s how I’ve gotten so many years/miles out of them. There’s no one else I trust with my cars. In fact, pretty much my whole family takes their cars to him and only him. So if you’re looking for someone who is honest and will get the job done right the first time, go to Crain’s.

Great service. Heater core hose failed while on the road. Had my vehicle towed to Crain’s and was told it could take a couple days due to it being last minute which I was ok with and understood. About 4 hours after it was dropped off they had it fixed and back in the road. I know this may not always be the case and I got lucky they were able to get it done so quickly. Crain’s will be my new go to mechanic.

Best repair shop in town. I recently had an a/c issue and called around lunch and they got me in the same day. I have since returned with another issue and received the exact same quick service. Was quoted 1300 from the dealership and Tony did same work for 300 and same day. I will not go back to the dealership and will only let Tony work on my cars. I highly recommend Tony and his shop for anything concerning car repair.

Don’t usually leave reviews but I am beyond pleased with the service I received! Got it towed in and they repaired it by the next day! Very affordable price and even went above and beyond. I hit a curb at the perfect angle to mess up my axle and control arm, and for some reason my door wouldn’t open. Everything is all back to normal and I can even open my door now. Thank you crains! They had to diagnose a noise and correctly determined it to be an axle bearing issue. They fixed the problem and helped me find a coolant leak. We called a week ago … told the lady on the phone the starter needed to be changed. We knew the issue. We were quoted $200 over the phone to replace the starter. We towed my car to the shop and they called us and told us it would be $600 for the starter to be changed. It is 2 bolts and 2 wires with an average of 1 hour labor to replace. What exactly are you charging $600 for?? We trusted this company in the past but will not be moving forward with any business and will share our experience with others. Also, charging a diagnostic fee on something we told you what the problem was is wild.
