Don't waste your time. Talks a good game, doesn't deliver. Had him do work on 2 of my classic cars, both we're 60-70%. Both jobs had to be finished somewhere else. Will never return, nor will any of my friends or family. On top of the quality issues, he's rude.

We came to Dave with my Grandfather's 1949 Chevrolet 3100 pickup as a rolling chassis in need of massive body work and new paint. I was getting married in about 4-5 months and asked Dave if there was any possible way he and his shop could do the body work, paint and put the vehicle back together to be ready in time for my wedding in June. We were making a colossal ask and basically requesting that a 1-year resto job be completed in 4 months. Not only did Dave, Kash and Darrel get the job done, the vehicle came out looking unbelievable! The truck has won junior national and best in class awards at the VCCA in addition to a Concours de Elegance award for post war classics. I am so grateful that Dave and his team were able to go the extra mile to have the vehicle ready in time for my wedding - It allowed me to have a tangible piece of Grandparents there at my wedding which meant the world to me. This shop is amazing and if I could provide anything higher than a 5-star in this review I would.

My car dents were fixed and the car was painted. This place did a very good job with paint and it does not take as long as other places I found. The workers are also friendly and listen.

Dave Prukop Auto Body is one of the best repairs shops I have ever been to. I have six cars and all have seen their fair share of damage. Prukop's is the only shop I go to now and have been having Dave help me for over 20 years with my automotive issues. Trust is big to me and I trust Dave for a good deal, he knows the business, and is a straight shooter... on top of that - he will stand behind his work. I recommend Prukop Auto Body to everyone I know. Darrin Nutter

A friend of mine referred me to Purkops Auto Body in Huntington Beach to repair my classic vehicle. I would have to say it was the worst experience I have ever had, dealing with an Auto Body Shop. Dave the owner, originally told me he would have the work on my car completed in one week. After hearing several times, "I didn’t need my car back as much as the others cars that were brought to his repair shop, I also got very tired of hearing next week and seeing others get their cars repaired and mine would just sit with little or no progress week after week.. After waiting 7 weeks, I told him I was going to take my car to another shop. I told him that the week before I came to pick it up. I called in the morning to let him know I was on my way to pick up my car running or not. After driving 75 miles one way he told me I couldn’t get my car for another 24 hours? When I finally picked up my car several of the repair items we agreed to were not complete. He charged me almost the full agreeded price. He also made more detailed estimate after I came to pick the car up and he left off some of the agreed work he was supposed to complete. Do yourself a favor and research this company before leaving you car. I found some very interesting facts about this company on line. The article was dated June 7 2010.

I brought my 2004 Silverado to Dave to have rust around the upper brake light repaired as well as have the roof and hood painted to match the existing. Being a self-employed residential and commercial painter myself and providing a very high quality of work to all my customers, I expect the same quality of work and service that I give. I can state with 100% honesty, both the quality of work and level of professionalism I received from Dave was poor especially for the price I paid. I was charged $3,000 for work that was not completed up to even mediocre standard and Dave does not stand by his word. To be fair, there were several red flags that should have led me to bolt from his shop, but between Dave and Milton’s good cop/bad cop routine in regards to pricing and Dave talking up a finished job that he did not even come close to delivering, I was extremely disappointed. The finished product was so far from what was promised. I was actually taken back at the poor quality of work. Not only was I disappointed in the work, I was even more so disappointed in the lack of ownership for the poor quality and refusal to make good on what was promised. When I picked up my truck, it was hard to determine the level of quality as it had not even been washed after the work was performed. Although Dave stated that the vehicle was washed, it absolutely was not. Immediately upon returning home, I washed my vehicle and it was very clear at that point how flawed the work that Dave did and did not perform as agreed. I returned to Dave’s shop the following morning. I realized the prior evening that I had overpaid Dave by $500 which he had no intention of pointing out and returning until after I made him aware that I had realized it. In addition to pointing that out, I asked Dave to come out to my vehicle so that I could address my concerns with the dirt in the paint, the un-sanded hood around all edges and other flaws including the swirls from the sander under the paint job which are clearly visible and can be felt. Not only was Dave defensive, he was rude and condescending. When I pointed out the sand under the paint on my roof his response was, “well you’re short, you won’t even be able to see it”. I was taken back by his level of unprofessionalism. When pointing out the poor quality of work, he went on to say, “it’s an old work truck, that’s as good as it gets.” This was a completely different tune from when he was pushing to make the sale. He also stated that I would have to pay more money to get the job completed that was initially promised. While yes, I do use my truck for work, it is also my personal truck and I take pride in keeping it up. The rust damage was due to salt water from my kayaks and paddleboards which Dave assured me he would make like new. After having received 3 estimates from local body shops to paint the roof and hood of my truck, I provided Dave with an estimate for $1,080 which was the most reasonable. At that point I was no longer comfortable with him doing any further work on my truck. Because I did not disclose the name of the body shop, he claimed it was not legitimate which is false. He went on to state that he provided all the work on the estimate however the estimate he provided was intentionally vague for this exact purpose. This is part of his tactic in not delivering what he promises and I would caution others to insist on a very detailed estimate to ensure you are getting what you pay for. There is clear coat overspray on my entire vehicle. The masking job was poor and he did not take any precautions to protect the rest of my vehicle. Overall the entire job was very poorly performed and Dave was very unprofessional. I paid $3,000 for a job that should not have cost more than $1,500 done right. I work hard for my money and cannot grasp the concept of this type of work or customer service. This was a tough lesson that I will definitely learn from and I feel that it was important to do my part to share my experience so that this does not happen to other good people.

Dave is off mentally, he talks and talks and talks you can barely get a word into the conversation. Work is average at best, I had work done at Macco that was better.

I've taken 3 of my vehicles to David and have been extremely satisfied with his excellent work. He's a great down to earth guy who's old school, honest and fair. He always does what he promises and will stand behind his work. I definitely recommend taking your vehicle to Prukop's Auto Body in Huntington Beach. You won't be disappointed.

I had a great experience with both David and Milton. David even went an extra mile to help me out, even though it could have brought him financial risks, and I am really grateful for that. In addition, the quality of work is great! I had an excellent experience with David Prukop's Auto Body and Paint shop!

Had purchased a 1963 Caddy Convertible with very low mileage and in overall great condition. Except for the owner thought it may be better to get a cheap paint job before selling it. Ya know one of those $399 jobs done by a chain body place. They ruined the car, was awful, over-spray even on the interior, over the chrome bumpers and lights. Just a terrible job. However because of the horrid work ended up getting the Caddy for a better price. Unlike most folks wanted to restore the car back to it's original glory and not modify anything. Took it to a few places and got estimates, issue was length of time they wanted to keep it for. Then met Dave, great guy who pretty much said the same things as the other shops. Issue was the amount of time it would take to search and find a lot of the original parts that were needed for the car. After learning this, suggested what if I found and purchased all the parts needed, would that help? Dave was very happy with that idea, although letting me know it's not that easy. So we came to an arrangement , me sourcing the hard to locate parts and he doing the restoration. Yup, Dave was correct, was hard trying to find all the parts, spent 100's of hours online, on the phone searching across North America for the needed parts. However it all came together and the Caddy was done withing 4 months and was beyond expectation. Would highly recommend Dave and crew.

I recently had my BMW Z3's hood repaired at Prukop's Auto Body, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From the start, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They took the time to explain the repair process and provided an accurate estimate The craftsmanship is outstanding—the hood looks brand new They perfectly matched the paint, and you’d never guess it had been damaged. The attention to detail and the quality of work are top-notch. Plus, they delivered on time, which was a big plus for me If you’re looking for a reliable and skilled auto body shop, I highly recommend Prukop's. They really go above and beyond

They scammed me too and took the money without fixing the car. This happened because I refused to have my car repaired there, so they damaged it. I only got my car back after I called the police because they are dishonest scammers.i told my friend what happened ,and she said it was the same place the insurance company sent her to ,and they scammed her too and took her car, taking advantage of the fact that she doesn't speak English fluently.i also don't recommend this place . Don't be fooled by David or Bill ; They are scammers and con artists who damage people's cars so they have to come back for more repairs. Do not leave your car with these people ; it's truly the worst body shop
