I found myself at Dentons when the check engine light went on in my car on my way from Indianapolis to Bloomington. I was really shaken, but Shane made me feel at ease right away, even though my car was clearly in distress. Shane and Terry were both very forthright and helpful; they explained what was wrong with my car without condescending or making me feel like it was my fault because I am not very knowledgeable about cars. Terry shared with me every possible outcome of the work they would do on my car so that there would be no surprises, and he made multiple calls to get me the best price on a new radiator. My 2007 Toyota Camry was running beautifully when I came to pick it up the next day. It is a small business, so you may wait a few minutes before someone is available to help you, but it is worth the wait for the great service. If my car had to break down, I'm grateful that it happened so close to Dentons, and if I lived closer to Indianapolis, I would bring my car back to them in the future for servicing.

These folks are awesome. My ball joint snapped on my 3500 HD while on the highway and these guys stopped what they were doing to help me get back on the road. I've used Denton's several times, and their service is excellent. The first time I took my car there, it needed a timing chain. Recently, I took my car there to get a wheel bearing, tie rods, and other maintenance done. Terry is very thorough and explains what needs to be done and how much it costs before working on my car. I also love that he offers several options to finance the repairs. I will continue to use this repair shop for all of my car repairs.

Broke down on our move from Columbus to Denver. Panicked and called them, they got us in quick and finished it even though it was the end of their day. Could not recommend the place more for anyone driving through town. The price was amazing, the people were very nice. Best service I've had at a car mechanic ever. I hope I can find somewhere half as good as this place in the future.

This shop is one of the best. Trustworthy, knowledgeable, and affordable...I highly recommend their work. Terry went above and beyond for me. He could have taken complete advantage of me and I wouldn't have had a clue. Instead, he ended up saving me a ton of money and making sure I was taken care of. I had a Ignition coil go out and mis fire while driving on 465 I got off the highway and found Dentons. Terry diagnosed the issue in a few minutes and had me back on the road in less than 2 hours. Wonderful place caring great mechanics. I got home safely 3 hours later thanks to this great place.

I would not recommend anyone using these guys EVER! Completely unprofessional service, charges were totally overpriced for labor, they broke my glove compartment and denied doing so let alone fixing it as if I didn't know the condition I left my vehicle in. Charged me a 75.00 diagnostic fee and didn't even have the print off of the problems the computer found, said their boss erased the readings once I decided not to allow them to work on the vehicle.

Dentons Auto deserves 10 stars! My daughter and I were traveling to Illinois and my alternator quit on me on the side of the interstate. I had called a few tow companies and had JRs towing pick us up. They had recommended Dentons to replace my alternator. Terry had said they would get it replaced for me that day. They had finished it right before they were getting ready to close. When the mechanic drove it, he discovered it was a faulty alternator. Terry pulled together his team and got a new alternator and replaced it and stayed a hour in half past closing so I wouldn't have been stuck in Indy. My price was very reasonable. Dentons has very good prices from listening to some of the quotes that were given to other customers. If I lived closer, I would definitely do all my auto work with him and refer him to people I know. I highly recommend this place!!!!!

There’s a reason why these guys are so highly rated, the work they do is impeccable. The friendliness is unmatched, dealerships give you the same person to try and build a “relationship “ and feel better. But here you get that without worrying that the next time you call in or come in that it might not be the same person or having to explain your issue over and over. These guys are top notch, terry is a great guy who truly helps. I stopped going to the dealership because I had so many issues, with dentons I have had 0 issues or bad interactions. Truly humble people with great work at an even better price. If you don’t give them a chance you are truly missing out. He’s helped me out at times literally no one else could and I asked friends for recommendations and I found here , through a friend who worked at JR towing. Best advice I’ve been given in my life.

Denton caused more issues to my car (confirmed with 2nd opinion), lied about, recommended work that I didn't need, and failed to address any of the issues they caused. Got my car alarm installed here. When I picked it up the gas gauge was not working. They lied and tried to gaslight me into believing that the gas gauge wasn’t working when they started working on the car (blatant lie. It was working when I dropped it off same day and second opinion confirmed alarm installation caused the issue). The owner checked the installation work and concluded that it was an unrelated issue. He literally said it was NOT POSSIBLE for it to be related to their work, and then suggested that I change my entire gas pump for $380, a “deal.” I knew something was off since my car had no issues when I dropped it off. Second opinion found: the wire harness was not connected correctly after my car alarm installation was completed. He confirmed this would have to be disconnected/reconnected for alarm installation. After he connected it correctly, the issue was fixed. When I called Denton, the owner dug his heels in and continued to claim it couldn't possibly be their fault. He also talked over me, raised his voice, and said that he “is a business owner and doesn’t have time for me.” Mistakes happen. But lying, recommending work that doesn’t need done, and being disrespectful to a customer that you caused issues for in the first place is highly unethical. Edit to Respond: My car was never stolen? The second appointment was to address why my door locks didn't work (another issue they caused). Not once did they suggest they would look at the gas gauge issue again... The owner actually continued to maintain it was "impossible" that was related to their work in setting up the time to look at my door locks, which he said just needed replaced. When the owner checked the work, he showed me the area they worked on (in explaining how it couldn't be their fault) and it included the wire harness.. Installing an alarm involves working with the wire harness (talk to any mechanic... do a quick google search)... So to deny that they touched the wire harness is either total ignorance on the owner's part or more lies (shocking, I know)...

Highly recommend Denton’s if you need a new starter! I was in Indianapolis for the weekend and my truck wouldn’t start, ended up being the starter. Called Denton’s and spoke with the owner Terry. He was able to get my truck in and fixed same day. Jason was the gentleman that helped with the starter on my truck, genuine guy. All of the guys at Denton’s Auto Repair are genuine guys highly recommend!! Thank you again for getting my truck fixed, I truly appreciate it.
