The heat in my car went out after this last freeze. Called them up Friday to schedule an appointment. They had me come in first thing Monday. Turns out my water pump needed to be replaced. They ordered the part and told me my car would be ready the next day. Lo and behold, I got a call at 4pm saying my car was ready. This place is off of the beaten path. Should the need arise I will do business here again.

I’ve taken a couple of my vehicle here. Someone suggested this place after other places I used did not seem to fix my problems correctly and were pretty expensive. Discount Auto was extremely professional and fixed my problems the right way. I even thought I needed to replace something else in my car and after he inspected it, it turned out I did not need that at all and it was something completely different that costed a couple hundred less. Most honest auto shop I’ve ever done business with! There are a lot of dishonest auto repair shops. I’m actually about to take my sons car up there now to get looked at and figured I would leave review. I don’t even do reviews much but the help I received at this place definitely deserves the shout out!

Can’t say enough good things about this mechanic. Not only do they have the most affordable option in Waco, they are beyond kind and helpful. I needed new rotors, brake pads and wheel bearing- all fixed without any issues. But more importantly, they took the time to make sure I was comfortable and cared about me as a person. I have and will continue to recommend them to all my friends so they know where to go for all their car needs.

I highly recommend Discount Automotive for your car repair needs. Jimmy will not charge you for what you don't need. I have been using this shop for over 10 yrs. I moved 2 hrs away, but I still come here for repairs because he is honest and very affordable. Lori is very pleasant and gives great customer service.

I was told about D.A. by a local car parts store, as a place that I can get great auto maintenance at a great price. I'm a retired aircraft mechanic, point being, I normally do my own maintenance, but due to a medical issue I was unable to at this time. These people fixed my car issues at a much lower price than the car dealer and did excellent workmanship. I will be back and will recommend everyone I know, to them!

We’ve had an AC issue in our car that our usual “go-to” mechanic couldn’t fix after two visits and $$ later… We called Discount Automotive after a recommendation. We dropped off the car and received a call an hour or so later and the gentleman identified our exact issue and fix that was needed and it was repaired the same day, as promised. Excellent service at an affordable price! We are very impressed.

Thought I’d add a better photo since it was hard to find. This place is run by a sweet older couple and they seem to run a very honest business. Just walk in to this door I posted —it’s a little confusing since google maps will route you to the wrong place and the zoning. Just drive a little further down and look for the “vehicle inspection” turn in sign.

Decided to try this place on a whim. They did my brakes, rotors and wear sensor for my Mercedes for a great price. Very well done and no issues after getting the car back. The people I interacted with were very friendly and welcoming. If I ever need anything else I'll be bringing it here.
