We were in Wilmer early Wednesday morning to pick up appliances. The alternator on our large box truck decided to die with much warning. Fortunately, we were with a couple of miles of Don's Auto Care. They pulled our truck to their shop, replaced the alternator and had us back on the road in a very short period of time. The mechanic and staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They were also very affordably priced. I highly recommend Don's Auto Care. These guys are honest and fair. Plainly put, they are GREAT!!

Very respectful and full of integrity. Went in for a small issue and now I trust the shop with any issue. If somthing major happens to my car i trust this shop with what ever work they say needs to be done and how much it will cost me. It's the small things that can tell you how much someone cares and how they carry it out. 10/10 will go there for everything.

These are true gentleman and I would recommend them to anyone. I went for an alignment and when I left the alignment was not good BUT they did thorough testing. I went and got my alignment somewhere else but here is what I like...when I came back to ask for a refund they were more than willing, showed no bad attitude, had a smile on there face and took ownership of their mistake. This is real customer service and I would go back again.

I have found an upstanding, no-nonsense mechanic shop here in Balch Springs, TX. I know enough about cars and mechanics to tell you that I know he could have raked me over the coals when I was traveling through on I-20, but he didn't. It was a quick fix and I was out of there. I am so pleased my fiancé went today to get the wheel bearings done. Don was very prompt and was able to tell us the price right away for the parts and the labor. First off, I called these guys in desperation. my left tire was completely off, hanging on the strut(barely), I call them in my bf car, on my way to work & these guys offered to come get it from my place & check it out. They offered to fix my car at a very descent price, saving me over a couple thousands..They got it fixed in a 48 hour turn around time & because of my work schedule I couldn’t come get it, they dropped it back off at my home, w/ receipt. Remind you, I have never met them but I completely TRUST them…Thank y’all so much. My car is running back the same ! :)

Got an oil change done today. Called them before hand to check on pricing and to see if they could get me in. They were available right away. Over the phone they quoted me one price, but once I got there it ended up being less. Needed a new filter as well. They picked up the part and changed it for me right away. Don was absolutely fantastic. He immediately came out to the car to see what the issue was and looked through his inventory to ensure he had the battery in stock. He gave me the price up-front and a waiting time. Once he was finished, the final price was a few dollars cheaper, and he even washed my car! Don had also checked out some other things and told me to come back next week to look at my tires. Don gives auto shops a really good name.

Not happy at all!!! Took my car to the shop because of noise. I honestly believe my car was misdiagnosed. I paid $1200 and the car is still make the same noise.i paid for stuff that I wasn't too concerned about. So now, I am expected to pay another $900 and this is suppose to fix the problem. My concern is why did I pay $1200???? I believe the shops turn these cars around to fast without getting to the root of the problem. I'm not a customer at all anymore

OMG!!! This is the most amazing Auto Care Shop ever! Don was amazing. He had great customer service which is a major plus for me. The pricing was so realistic. My car was not movable and I got it towed at an unbeatable price using their towing services on a Thursday might I add. I was not charged for a diagnostic test and my car was fixed and picked up the same day!!!My car wouldn't start and it resulted to me needing a new starter. I left there a tremendously happy customer. Thank you Don's Auto Care for your Terrific service!

"There is a review on here stating that all of the other 72 reviews are fake & that's nearly impossible to pull off, so take it with a grain of salt." NOW, back to my experiences: I did this original review about 5 years ago, & today, on a Saturday, Don took time out of his personal life to pick up a truck and tow it to his shop for 1/3 the price of other tow companies. If THAT'S not amazing customer service I don't know what is. And it was his idea. He's a very compassionate human being. ////////// ORIGINAL POST: If you want honesty & fair prices & friendly treatment AND perfect car repairs/care... (& who doesn't), then take your car problems or car maintenance to Don. We've been using him for years. We moved away & we still use him. He's worth the 40 mile drive. I can't imagine not having him to rely on. Many times the final bill has been less than the initial estimate. I gladly recommend him with confidence.

I had to stop by and say these are some honest down to earth heaven sent folks right here. They helped me man I didn't have sell no organs arms or toes. We took our truck to Don’s Auto care on Elam in Balch springs November 24th to have the fuel pump replaced. We picked it up the same day. The truck was not driven again until 11/26 at which time it was making a terrible noise. I called them and they said we could bring it over if we can get there before five or the following Monday due to it being Thanksgiving week. We immediately went back home got underneath the truck and took a picture and sent it to them and gave them a call. They had forgotten to tighten up the bolts on the center support bearing. They did send someone out that day to fix it. I waited one week expecting to get a phone call from the owner, after not hearing from him, I gave him a call and he acted as if he didn’t know what I was talking about. I said a few things which triggered his memory to what I was talking about. I don’t think he ever apologized. He did however say I’m glad we got out there and got that tightened up that could’ve cost you thousands of dollars. Needless to say, we don’t recommend them nor will we use them ever again.

Don's Auto was recommended to me by my local paint and body shop. Don was exactly as advertised: fair, honest, and communicated well. He had given me an estimate but to my surprise it ended up being about $500 less at the final bill. How many mechanics will tell you "I misquoted you, it was actually $500 less"? With that type of service its no surprise the walls of the office are lined with BBB plaques. Friendly staff and so far my vehicle issues are resolved. Will be going to Don's again for my next repair needs!
