This is the absolute best mechanic shop I’ve ever been to! Our Lexus SUV broke down during our trip to SF and Jamie got us back on the road quickly and for a fair price. Another mechanic tried to scam us, but Jamie was honest and upfront and truly wanted to help us. Our power steering pump was busted and he repaired it within a few hours. Afterwards, we discovered that the hose going from the pump was torn, and Jamie found the only hose for our car in all of California (even when it was on backorder in the rest of the country and even the Lexus dealership couldn’t get it for us). He was able to fix it within a day, helped us keep the cost manageable, and even gave us some tips for where to stay for the night. I can’t thank Jamie enough for making this as painless as possible and for doing it all with a smile and a pleasant, empathic attitude towards us!

My pickup truck bed was all scratched up from hauling concrete, and I wanted it restored. Jaime had it all looking like new within a day. He also touched up my paint, bumpers, and polished up the headlights. This would be worth it if you want to sell your vehicle. The payoff in value from the improved appearance is more than the cost of the job. Try to bargain hard with him on the price. I am not a good bargainer LOL.

I got into my first car accident and many people recommend Downtown Auto. I wasn't to sure what to do with my insurance and Jaime reached out and took care of everything. He was great with communication and never left me in the dark with updates on my car. The work was done flawlessly. Everything was done fast and efficiently. I came to this shop after a flight with a tight budget and a tight timeline, and they did not disappoint! My car started pretty dirty, and came out squeaky clean and sleek. I called them a day ahead about restoring my headlights. They said it’s gonna cost $60-70 depending on the car which is reasonable. The next day I came and they agreed to do that for $60. 2 minutes later one of the guys said $60 is polishing only we can do coating and it’s gonna last longer but it’s $120. There is no point of polishing the headlights without finishing it with coating. Learn how to do business. If it’s $120 for restoring the headlight tell me that it’s $120 over the phone.

I had a great experience with the team for both detailing and repairs. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and delivered excellent results. The car looked spotless after the interior and exterior detailing, with every surface cleaned and shining. They also handled the minor repairs quickly and professionally, and my vehicle now runs smoothly. The staff were friendly, communicative, and respectful of my time. I recently had to take my car to Downtown Auto due to someone swiping my front bumper in a parking lot and me not noticing until a few days later. I called Jaime to see when I could bring my car in to get her fixed up again. I brought my car to Jaime since he had already done a phenomenal job on my daughter's car a few months prior when she got into an accident. Suffice to say he did not disappoint. He worked with my schedule and was able to get me my car back in a timely manner. Not only did he work with my schedule, but the color match was completely on point. It looks amazing, you absolutely cannot tell anything happened to the bumper. After seeing what he has done with my daughter's car ( which was a bigger job), and now seeing the results with my car, I absolutely would recommend this shop for anyone looking for auto repair.
