This is the best mechanic shop in lee county. The owner stopped what he was doing to take me back and explain what was going on with my car. He also beat everybody else's price. I absolutely love Drivers Choice and they are my go to shop. The checked out my Audi for me when I bought it and I got it back the next day with all issues fixed; then I brought my Lancer there and again they were very courteous and prompt with service. On top of everything their prices are great and can’t be beat. I will be recommending all my friends to use Drivers Choice for any work they need done and will be bringing my Lancer here for all work it may need in the future

I really recommend you don’t take your car to that place. In my case, they took almost two months to “fix” my car and after waiting that time and paying more than 4000 dollars, the car is still presenting problems including check engine on, leaking oil and problems with the coolant system. Besides, they gave me back my car with oil in the coolant deposit and system, they were supposed to clean it. All the leather inside the car is also stained with oil. During all the time my car was in the workshop, I never received a message or call from them, they never answered the calls neither. When I came back with the problemas that my car still had, they said that the problems were not related to what they had fixed, so they did not accomplish the guarantee they offered. Worst workshop ever. Please, don’t be scammed by them. Stay away from that place.

Never again! They were recommended to us, big mistake. They had our car for over a week without an update from them. We reached out and they told us their best mechanic was out and they would get him on it when he was back to work. $1,000 later and the car isn't fixed properly, someone or something hit our front bumper, the inside of our car is covered in dirty black hand prints and while we were waiting on the car when we went to pick up the mechanic took it for a "test drive" to pick up his lunch.

I've taken my truck to this shop several times in the past and they did the job right with reasonable pricing, however, it was not the case this time. I brought my vehicle to them three weeks ago and for three weeks it just sat there in their yard. There was zero communication throughout the entire time. I stopped by once a week to check the progress and every time nothing was done. I even asked the individual at the front desk two weeks in if they can handle the job and she assured me that they can. They couldn't start the vehicle and apparently could not figure out why it wouldn't start or what needs to be done to start it. They were hoping that one morning it would finally start on it's own as the issue was due to water infiltration. So they basically wasted three weeks of my valuable time knowing that I was spending $400 a week on a rental car and that my vehicle was my only mode of transportation. They even stopped answering my calls because every time I called towards the end of this ordeal, no one would pick up the phone. The right way for them to have handled this was to be honest with me about their inability to repair the vehicle in a timely manner. I probably would not have written this review had they simply afforded me a little respect by way of communication. "Response to Owner" No I was not advised that the process would take significant time nor was advised what steps were being taken to obtain specific replacement parts when and only when I would show up there, as I mentioned, three weeks without a phone call. If I knew that they were waiting on specific parts and that it was taking a long time to obtain them, rest assured that I wouldn't be writing this review. They answered the phone one time just to tell me that I need to go buy a new battery, again , this was not communicated to me because they were being proactive and called me to request that I go buy a new battery. I found this out when I called them so who knows how many days they went with a dead battery and doing nothing with the vehicle and in regards to there phone issues and why they couldn't communicate with me, well... we all have cell phones these days.

Going to give my 100% review. First I went there thinking I was going to spend $300 and i had an idea of a couple things I definitely needed but ended up spending $600. I was Concerned that it wouldn’t get done because it was a Saturday and they close at 1 and I knew I would need a few parts. Well even though I spent $600 that was because I needed something extra replaced which he showed me the part and I definitely needed it replaced. But if I would have got the work done somewhere else, it would have been over $1000. Replaced my valve cover gasket, coil pack, coolant hoses, and a few other things. They stayed after 2 hours to get my car done for me which is much appreciated. Great staff, the owner nick is a good guy, personally and business wise, very honest and not out to get all your money. His staff were also very nice and knew exactly what they were doing. Getting everything done as fast as they did was amazing. There is no need to even look for a better place to take your car to get fixed. I was very impressed. My new go to mechanic 👍👍👍

Took vehicle in for service. They don't answer calls or messages. Unresponsive to customers' requests for updates to vehicle service. We have 2 vehicles that needed servicing. We picked up our cars without the service being and not even an apology for bot being responsive. When the vehicle was being picked up, the servicer said good luck. Bad customer service.

Now, the Car shop doesn't look like much at all, but let me tell you, it's a family owned business, and they are honest, more honest than you would ever expect now days. Their prices are by far the best around, and they have earned me as a life long customer. I couldn't recommend any other business more than I recommend this one.

Very disappointed with the service I received this last year with them. They sold me a transmission for my car which died in about a year. Took it back to them which they came back saying it needed a flush. Did the flush and car is running worst than when I took it to them. Tried calling get message stating to text them. I texted them and they won't return my text. The mechanics they have working there I don't believe they know what they are doing. I am out almost $5000. I will never recommend them to anybody.

I first started going to Nick when I asked on FaceBook if there was anyone who could fix the hybrid part of a Prius and he responded. It was so great to find someone who could fix my car without charging me the outrageous dealership prices. He's always been fair and honest, as well as knowledgable and reasonable. **Beware** I have been a long time customer for years. Multiple cars. But just recently I took my Subaru WRX there for a oil change. The mechanic ran it up the lift and hit it since its lowered. Cracked the front bumper and knocked the bumper off alignment on both sides. $1000 real carbon fiber lip on the bumper. Its been a week and 2 days and the business still hasn't made it right. Keep giving me the run around who will be talking to me/handling it. Will not be taking any vehicles here anymore, will be blasting on all social medias, calling the news, and filing a small claim. Melissa is a great person but she has "stepped away" from the business and the people running the show have no idea how to treat a customer. Not to mention in there today to get an update and other customer said his car was damaged to and also leaked oil after oil change. I dont recommend this shop at all anymore. Wish I didnt have to write this but here I am.

I had a fantastic experience with this mobile mechanic! Nick came directly to my location to fix my brakes and do an oil change, which was incredibly convenient. Not only was he punctual and professional, but the service was also top-notch. Everything was done efficiently, and he explained everything very clearly along the way. What really stood out to me was how reliable and affordable he was- no surprise charges, just honest work at a great price. It's hard to find someone you can truly trust with your car, but I’ll definitely be calling Drivers Choice Auto Center again for any future repairs or maintenance. Highly recommend!

Stay away, was recommended to me. Bad decision. Not to honest of a guy. Wouldn't return the bad part that he Installed. Told me he'll swap out the part and give me a new one. Which i dont need because I already had his part replace. Now im down money for installation of the same part twice.

I should have checked their Yelp reviews first before spending my money there. Had a clutch pedal replaced by them last year and getting transmission service at a completely different company revealed that drivers choice secured the clutch pedal with ZIP TIES and completely butchered the surrounding area in order to make the part fit. I'm now spending THOUSANDS to have the problems remedied. They should never be allowed to work on another vehicle again.

I have had two bad experiences with them. Our first time going there was for their brake deal for my wife's car. I waited in shop for the job to be completed. The lady was nice. Took the car home, still heard squealing brakes. Didn't think much of it. Thought maybe it was the new pads. A few weeks later, since I thought I had got good service, I brought my Ford explorer in for a water pump replacement as they gave me a fairly priced quote. It's a big job as you have to take the front of the motor off to get to it. After the repair was complete, I drove it home and all seemed well. Until I drove it a bit further the next day. Come to find out, they only put 1 gallon of the wrong antifreeze in. It takes the orange kind and not the yellow. And it takes almost 4 gallons and needs to be burped as it's going in since it's a pressurized system. I took care of flushing it and refilling it myself, however on occasion it will still get hot. Not sure what is still going on. Later after this, my wife's brakes start grinding. Come to find out, they were never replaced. So I just replaced the pads and rotors myself. I was hoping to find an affordable, honest auto shop. Unfortunately, that was not the case.

I have been going here for years with little to no problems. If there was ever a problem, the owners would correct it quickly. I went there last Thursday and found the location to be closed and a new business occupying the space. I text the company number and was directed to a new location. I met with Nick who I have known for many years as a customer. Now mind you, Driver’s Choice oil change has always been the cheapest in the area. The problem I have is that after the oil change, Nick charged me almost double then what the normal oil change rate was just four month prior. I questioned him about it and he told me that the price of oil and supplies has gone up. I was not happy and I should have verified the price prior to arriving at my appointment (lesson learned), but I didn’t as I have always paid the same if not slightly more over the past several years. The excuse of higher cost was acceptable a year or so ago, but the prices have been coming down as it was almost half the price four months ago. Not only was the oil change doubled, it was just a straight up oil change and nothing else checked. It is sad to say, I will not be going back and Driver’s Choice lost a long term and loyal customer. Shame on you for not informing me that you doubled your pricing.
