Duke and bob's is amazing. I've found myself in 2 car pinches that they've helped me out of, and they even kept me under budget. This is a reliable gem of a shop. I had a heck of a time finding a good shop in the city, and i happened upon this shop. Total game changer as far as city garages go. This is officially the only shop I'll go to in the city.

SEE BRIAN(the mechanic) there is no Duke or Bob. Ever since I moved into UMKC 5 years ago this has been where I've taken my car a 2008 fusion which started at 90,000 when I got it used, and now has 165,000. They've redone all my brakes, as well as frame work on my 2005 Ranger, great price, friendly, very fast. Had my car back the same day. Also they have free warranty's.

Very unpleasant experience. My tags were stolen off of my vehicle within a two day span. The facility does NOT have any cameras and the owner Brian had no sympathy or remorse for the situation! “I don’t know what you expect me to do” we’re his exact words.

Stellar place for service. They have maintained and repaired my family's cars for years and we're always satisfied with the service. They also do what they can to keep the costs down. For example, I was concerned about a rattling noise and was told, "we can fix make it stop rattling for about $350, or you can live with it. It's not a safety issue." So many other places would have snatched up my $350.

I called just to get a quote on a tune up he told me I’d have to get a diagnostic to see what’s wrong before getting a tune up from them which cost 125 I told him I already got a diagnostic for my car and told him what it read he stated he can’t do anything to my car without a reading so I asked since one issue was the valve cover gasket how much to change that he said he’d have to look to see which one for 40. Then got rude because I just wanted to know the price and started telling me idk what I’m doing. Rude and scammers !!!!

I will never take my car anywhere besides Duke and Bob’s for anything — not for discounts somewhere else, not for a simple state safety inspection, not for anything. They are always professional and honest. Brian always takes the time to explain exactly what they’re doing and why. Just today he stayed 20 minutes after their closing time to give me back my car when I was late getting there and when I had an extra question. I took my car to a different place for a safety inspection and was told I needed to fix 8 things, for $2600. I took it to Duke and Bob’s for a second opinion; I actually only needed to fix 2 things and it was only $500. They are simply the best and I will never go anywhere else!

Called I-70 repair first. They wanted a crazy $300+ diagnostic fee that does not go towards repairs. Called Brian at Duke and Bob’s. He had an idea of what was needed just talking to me. Brought car in at 7:30 am the next day. Totally repaired by 1:30 pm and for less than the other guys’ diagnostic fee. Also Brian takes the time to 100% fully explain everything going on, what needs to happen, price of parts, etc!!! Go see Brian at Duke and Bob’s. Don’t waste time anywhere else!!

Have brought both of my cars to Duke and Bob's for several issues, and have always had great service. Brian is the person I've interacted with mainly. Very clear with his instructions and explanations, very simple with getting the job done (just leave it and pick it up tomorrow!), and professional at all times. Highly recommend.

Absolute lifesavers for what I was worried would be an incredibly expensive fix. Given that I’m in town visiting from the East coast, I was worried that the faulty instrument cluster for my Ford Escape, (as well as many overdue services to be done for my car including new tires, fixing a bad door panel, battery replacement, new wiper blades and an oil change) would force me to change travel plans and possibly have to look into purchasing a new vehicle. Brian’s knowledge of my issue quickly put me at ease and they were able to get my car into better shape than it’s ever been since I bought it (used). It was significantly more affordable than I expected, I was able to get it back within the same week of dropping it off (in Monday, out Friday), and the text updates throughout the week were very much appreciated. To cap it off, Brian assured me if there were any issues with the fixes I had done over the next year, I’ll be covered. Top to bottom best experience I’ve had with a car repair service and will definitely be back should I need work done next time I’m in town.

Legit. I had a car w/ a stripped wheel stud. Dropped it off to get it done and it was fixed with new tire mounted and balanced by end of day. I thought it was just one stud stripped but it was 3- I gave them two studs, they replaced the third one for free. Half as much as the place recommended by a friend in OP. Dudes seemed very chill and answered my numerous questions over the phone before I brought it in. I will be back. :)

Something extremely bizarre happened. My car is having some issues with the transmission at this point in time, my car has only been to one shop. Duke and Bob I checked my mail today and I noticed that I received this offer for an extended warranty for my car huge red flag. 🚩 I contact the number and they tell me that I am having some transmission issues with the car. They literally told me what was wrong with the car now considering that my car has only been to one shop for diagnosis that is alarming. 🚩 Either one or two things is going on here. This shop is saving people‘s information and sending out fraudulent extended warranty information. Or they are selling consumer information. I don’t believe in coincidences I told this fraud company that sent me this notification that I needed to research the company and they tried everything that they could to keep me on the phone and to get me to give them a down payment of $399.00. I don’t know what type of business this shop is into, the fact that I got a piece of paper in the mail offering me an extended warranty, and the fact that they somehow knew that my car was having transmission issues is very questionable to me. This auto repair shop does have a reputable reputation, however, the fact that I only took my car to this shop in a week later I receive this scam letter in the mail about an extended warranty is very much unsettling to me. Consumers beware and be very cautious, When giving out your correct mailing address. I told this fraudulently extended warranty company that I was going to look up their organization and do some research upon my verification there have been reports this is in fact a scam! I do not know if this repair shop is affiliated with whoever is trying to sell fraudulent extended warranties. But it definitely raises red flags for me. Based off of this experience, I would never come back and I will not refer anybody that I know to go here. When I took my car for the diagnosis, I did have a good experience. However, after receiving this scam mail about an extended warranty, it has me questioning the integrity of this business. If anybody receives A piece of mail related to a warranty for your car. You can always get an extended warranty directly with the dealer Manufacturer of your vehicle. Stay away from third-party because it’s a good chance it’s probably a scam. Another red flag 🚩 I just moved to where I moved to. I’ve only been living at that address for 3 weeks. My car is only had one diagnosis and I received a letter.
