YOU CAN STOP YOUR SEARCH AND BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!! They fixed my husband’s work truck when we had no idea what the problem was. George was extremely knowledgeable and figured out what the issue with the truck was. He was honest and didn’t recommend anything that wasn’t necessary which helped us out a ton!! They fixed his truck quickly and we were on our way! WE ARE SO GRATEFUL! THANK YOU EAGLE TRANSMISSIONS!!

Have to give 5 stars due to great experience. You see I had a thumping noise when I’d lightly tap the break. Slower when driving slower, faster when driving faster. I thought it was the breaks. Took to a repair shop. They said the right axle was loose. Most likely the axle or something in the transmission. Cheapest to try replacing the axle because transmission work is expensive. I said no thanks. You see I remembered that just over a year ago I used a break shop to replace back breaks. They also replaced the right front CV boot and axle which they actually replaced a second time shortly after (warranty) because they didn’t do it right the first time (found by another shop replacing my oil). So I took it there thinking at least maybe warranty coverage. They said same thing as first shop. Axle or transmission. Since parts were covered under warranty they charged just labor to now replace the axle 3rd time. Noise did not go away. They said it was the axle and go to transmission shop. This is where Eagle Transmission comes in. Worked with Frank who said same thing I did. Didn’t seem like a transmission issue. Said they’d look at it. They actually got it in faster than expected considering their backlog and down one of their main mechanics. They replaced the axle (the one just replaced by break shop for 3rd time) and said the end was rough and part of clip was broke. So it appears the brake shop did not install correctly. Eagle replaced axle. With a simple test, they figured it out. Guess what, it was indeed the breaks. They replaced the front breaks and rotors and everything was resolved. So the break shop “experts” couldn’t figure out it was a break issue AND they messed up the axle install multiple times (not going there again) but the transmission experts figured out and fixed the break issue. I appreciated the complete honesty and transparency from Frank and the crew to help resolve something that was not in their main line of work. I will definitely go to Eagle Transmission should I need transmission work knowing they will be honest with the work that needs to be done and confidence they will do it right.

I had my 2011 F150 serviced by them at the beginning of January 2025. They pretty much rebuilt my transmission. They did a great job. It was done in a timely manor. I waited a while to do my review because I wanted to be sure of it's performance. Still holding up great! My truck had 275 k miles on it. Lotta miles. Big choice to repair or buy something else. The quality of service they provided was great. No problem. I would use them again. Now, if I had changed my trans fluid like I should've, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Tough lessen. Frank did advise me to do a fluid change and not a flush. A flush could've led to other troubles. Also to do a change around every 50k miles. Anyway, there a great crew. Really appreciated the work they did. Thank you for a fantastic job!

Had my manual transmission rebuilt here for a 30 year old truck. Frank was extremely polite and transparent regarding what was required for the rebuild, as well as the cost and the timeline. The truck feels brand new again. I definitely would recommend taking any other vehicle here for transmission work.

We were having a slight shuddering problem upon acceleration in our 2020 Cadillac xt6 w 100k mikes and the dealer service rep said we needed a new transmission....before they diagnosed it. When we took it to Eagle, they felt like all they needed to do was change the transmission fluid. The manager Frank Black told me strait up that we would have to continue to replace the fluids every 25k miles. Eagle saved us close to $8000 and their tech George did an amazing job. I highly recommend these guys for any transmission issues you have.....they will shoot it to you honestly. Btw....the Cadillac dealer charged $250 to diagnose, Eagle $0 to diagnose and the Dealer never offered any alternative to fix the issue.

I brought in my black 2014 Ford F-150 2WD for a complete transmission rebuild. Frank was completely transparent about the process and his mechanics are obviously very good at what they do because my truck is purrin down the road now. Remember folks, you don't wanna eat from a skinny cook. Right frank? Haha

i’ve had there services done to my 4l60e Transmission a year ago and i’ve had to go back 2 times. I’ve called recently again to inform them of a new issue on my transmission. Frank then said he would like take care of the issue but then never called back the following days . i understand we can all get busy, however I called back and he completely Disregarded the conversation saying he didn’t recall it . I’ve had this ticking issue for a while now. Furthermore, i didn’t want this to be the way i had y'all guys reach out to me or visa-versa i want my truck transmission to perform Excellent, especially for the price i have paid .

Wow, Frank and the crew at Eagle Transmission provide amazing service. I don't typically leave reviews, but they went over and beyond to help my family out when our transmission went out while on a road trip through the Dallas area. After picking us up on the side of the highway, they replaced our transmission in less than 24 hours which allowed us to continue our trip. Honest, fair, and very friendly. Thank you!!!

They rebuilt my transmission better than factory. Had a problem 20k miles later, replaced under warranty no issue. Great work from this shop. Will definitely recommend.

I will recommend Frank Black, Eagle Transmission to anyone needing transmission work performed. Very happy with the results of the transmission rebuild. Just had annual transmission service, for 3 year / 50k mile warranty! I put just under 20,000 in one year. BTW, the rebuilt transmission from Eagle Transmission shifted smoother than when the truck was new!!

I recently took my Chevy suburban into eagle transmission for repairs, and when i found out the cost would be $5900 upfront, i was really stressed. I spoke with frank, and he understood my situation of me not having that amount on hand. The next day, he blessed me with some wonderful news: I could pay the amount in weekly installments til balance is paid. That was such a relief, and on top of that, Frank spoke to the owner about my hardship and the owner reduced the balance to help even more! I’m truly grateful to Frank, mechanics and owner for the support during this time. Thank you, Eagle Transmission for making it much easier to manage this expense! I will definitely recommend this place to all family and friends!

I brought my truck in for a transmission diagnostic and really appreciated how George took the time to explain what he found and what the repair would involve. The estimate itself was fair and made sense based on the scope of work. There was a miscommunication between the shop manager and me about the diagnostic side of things, and since I don’t plan to keep the truck long term, I decided not to move forward with the repair. Even so, the shop handled the situation the right way. They returned my truck fully reassembled and in the same condition I dropped it off, and went well over and beyond what I expected to make the situation right. I appreciated how everything was handled and would consider coming back if I ever need transmission diagnostics again.

THIS IS THE SHOP YOU NEED TO GO IF YOU NEED TRANSMISSION WORK OR A REBUILD!! I have had 2 different vehicles get the transmission rebuilt and a transfer case from Eagle transmission and have not had 1 issue with either one. I recently had my transmission rebuilt for my dually I use for work for construction. It’s working perfect!! Frank the Manager worked with me and went above and beyond to help me. He really helped me out with my truck with my transfer case after it left me stranded on the road. It was not the transmission!!! I got my transfer case rebuilt by them and my truck runs great and strong again!! I greatly appreciate the dedication he and his team showed. They don’t push anything out fast just because. They take their time to make the job done the right way the first time!! George is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience and knows what he is doing. Lucy the receptionist was also a great help and very professional and had great communication. Frank and his entire team do care about their customers and they do GREAT QUALITY WORK!! I’ll definitely be coming back in the future if I ever need transmission work. Thank you Frank and your team!!

Frank and his team did a fantastic job. I had been to two other mechanic shops for my Lincoln MKC and they couldn’t fix it. Frank completed a diagnostic, called me before he did any repairs, and gave a fair price (especially compared to the other shops). I highly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Eagle Transmission working on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee (and anyone who owns one knows these are notorious for transmission problems). I worked with Frank, the manager, who was straight-up honest from the start. He walked me through a few repair options, helped set me up with a financing company so I wouldn’t have to take the full financial hit all at once, and even offered free towing to their shop — a really thoughtful touch. After the repair, I thought the car was still acting a little funny, so I called Frank the next day. He immediately told me to bring it back in because he wanted me to be 100% satisfied. Turns out, my Jeep has an adaptive learning transmission system that adjusts to your driving style — that’s why the shifts felt a bit jerky at first. Frank explained everything clearly and reassured me that if any issue persisted, he’d take care of it at no cost. The team at Eagle Transmission are straight shooters — I never once felt like they were trying to upsell or inflate prices. If you need major repair work done by honest, professional people, this is the place to go.

We had my 2014 Ford Escape towed to the McKinney location of Eagle Transmission on August 22. It was after-hours, so my husband completed their paperwork, with a detailed description of what happened with the car. We left the paperwork and key fob in their drop box. The following morning, my husband contacted the shop to verify they had received our info. Initially, no one had any knowledge of my car being there. After additional follow-up calls, my husband was told they would take a look at the car and would call with a diagnosis. After no call backs, my husband made multiple calls to the shop to get information. On August 29, a full week later, my husband called and got the diagnosis and the cost of the repair. $6,000 was the low bid; $7,900 was the high bid! The car wasn't worth that amount in working condition, so we opted to not go forward with the work. My husband told the shop manager to put the car back together and we would have the car towed off their property, as soon as we could make the arrangements. I went to the McKinney shop on Friday, the following day at 3:45, to pay the bill and get my belongings from the car. I paid over $1,100 for the "diagnostic". At that time, I informed the manager that since we were going into the holiday weekend, we would not be able to have the car towed off their lot until Tuesday, September 3. He informed me that if the car wasn't removed on Tuesday, he would have it removed and sold to a salvage yard. I was surprised by his attitude and reassured him the Labor Day holiday is what caused the delay and it would be removed by our towing company on Tuesday. He repeated his threat if my car wasn't gone on Tuesday! I left the office to get my belongings from my car. My key fob wouldn't work, so I returned to the office to ask why. Manager informed me the mechanics didn't hook up the battery, so the fob wouldn't work and told me to "just use the key in the door lock". I explained I had done that and it wouldn't unlock the door. He asked another man in the office to see if he could get into the car. Again, the fob nor the key would work, and this worker told me, "it looked like I had a problem". Fortunately, I had the second key in my purse and that key actual unlocked the door. I was loading my belongings and realized several of my things that I had stored in the cargo section of my car were thrown in the back seat. When I opened the back seat door, there was an oily box of parts sitting on the back seat and parts on the floor board. When I looked over the back seat, the greasy, oily transmission parts had been thrown in and piled up in the cargo area of my car. I grabbed the belongings I had been able to retrieve from the car and was going back to the office to discuss the condition of my car, but wait, the bay doors were shut and the office was closed. It was barely 4:00 and the entire shop was shut down and all the employees were gone. The shop had been paid and we were left with the horrible condition of my car. I have never experienced such disregard for another person and their property from a service-based company. We will never again use Eagle Transmission for any of our vehicles needed repairs. I will be quick to share our experience with the personnel and the lack of quality of their work. I will be contacting the shop that recommended we use Eagle Transmission, in hopes they will no longer send referrals to this shop.

Worst experience ever! I went to this transmission shop to see if I can get the transmission of my 2014 LEXUS IS250 repaired. I removed the transmission myself and took it. On reaching the store, the manager Frank told me they can repair it and I left the store leaving the transmission, even when I called during the day, Frank said transmission pump was damaged which was true and for the rest he said it looks ok. he said he just needs to recheck about the clutch packs with his rebuilder. Next day I go to the shop and frank said he won’t touch the transmission or repair it. He didn’t say any specific reason, he just said he won’t repair it! I said well then just give it back to me and he said he needs to put the parts he took off it back and I said I will collect it the next day or later that same day. Later that same day I sent my brother to collect the transmission and Frank said my brother needs to pay an extra amount of $200+ if he wants me to put it back, which was seriously absurd, like I have never heard of it any workshops, even my friends who were technicians at dealerships were shocked when I said what happened. I tried to call the shop and they declined the call first 2x and someone picked the call the third time and cut the call halfway. I called a fourth time and they said wait 10 minutes. Fed up, I later asked my brother to take the transmission back with him the way they gave it. Above PICTURES are how they put the transmission in the cars trunk and it was leaking transmission fluid all over in the trunk space, which took me 2 hours to clean. Later I told a friend of mine who’s a mechanic and he called the shop for me and later Frank agreed to put it back and asked me to bring it the next day. I took the transmission to get it put back up the next day and the technician who put it back up was very rude too even though he put it all back up. WORST Experience ever! I went to eagle because a few of my friends suggested how good the shop is, plus seeing the aged men, I had a belief they would have much more experience working on these things. But ya this was a total disappointment!!
